A quick update: Thank you everyone for the well wishes and cards that you have sent me. It meant a great deal to me and just truly thank you. For those that may not know I woke up very ill on January 1 I thought it was just my Rheumatoid Arthritis from all the stress of my dad going through a major surgery, taking care of my parents farm and dealing with a LOT of snow with some deep cold weather here + Christmas and our regular life. lol It turned out to be 29 days of something very bad that kicked my butt. I paired the Sunshine and Rainbow Designer Series Paper with the with the Rainbow of Happiness Photopolymer Stamp Set item #157721 on page 18 in the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog.

 

I made this fun little card to send out to all my customers in there January - June 2022 Mini Catalog Package. I have not made one of these 4 x 4 cards in awhile and this set is perfect for that size!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:
Card Base:

• Use the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer to cut a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock 4 x 8. Then score with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 8 and fold on scored line and press down with the Bone Folder creating a card base.
• Cut a piece of Midnight Muse card stock 3 3/4 x 3 3/4. Then place on the Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer lining a top point and bottom point then cut creating two triangle pieces set aside for another project. Adhere to the bottom right corner of the card base.
• Cut a piece of Sunshine and Rainbow Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" by 3 3/4". Adhere to the card base on the right side.
• Cut a piece of Sunshine and Rainbow Designer Series Paper 1" x 3 3/4". Adhere across the card base.
• Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 2 1/2 x 3 card stock. Stamp the Rainbow of Happiness stamps in the following colors; Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo onto the Basic White card stock creating a rainbow. Then cut some flowers for every season ribbon and tie around the bottom of the Whisper White card stock. Adhere to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Ink the stamp from Rainbow of Happiness in Midnight Muse and stamp onto a piece of Basic White card stock. Zip it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Picture This Dies. Adhere to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Finish by adding some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Memories & More: Project 40

Hey Peeps!

Super excited to share with you all my plans for documenting this years journey! Hubby and I started doing this in 2015 and it's turned into something really fun for us to do each year to document our life! Since we've started this project it has really expanded for us in a lot of ways. First we pick an idea for a theme for us to focus on. I have our themes listed below.

2015 - Adventures
2016 - New
2017 - Life's a Party
2018 - Project 40 I got this!

Why do we choose a theme? For us it helps us focus and tell a story about our year in our words. For example last year's theme was Life's A Party, we picked that because we knew how many big celebrations we would be doing last year and if fit so well.....what we didn't know is how funny it would be because we of course had new clue what we would go through with my dad. So for us it was pretty hilarious because life sure was not a party! lol

So how did we come up with this year's theme? I turned 40 in December. December was a pretty bad month for us and we also spent most of it sick, what a way to celebrate a big milestone right? Hubby felt really bad my party had to be cancelled as he wanted to do something special for me to celebrate me. I kept telling him it's ok you can't control what happens in life but he was pretty upset. So the idea was born to create like a 40 Bucket List for us to do this year to celebrate turning 40....the idea Project 40 I got this was born! lol We thought it would be fun to pick 40 things to do....do you know how hard it is come up with 40 things that won't break the bank. At least we had fun doing it and didn't kill each other! LOL We had a blast decorating our album cover last year so hubby defiantly wanted us to do that again this year are you ready for it?

SWEET!!! Right??!! It turned out way better than I had hoped it would! I used our Black Faux Leather 12" x 12" Album item #144202. We decorated the cover using the Silhouette, Silver and White Vinyl. It's way cooler in person! 

My Plans:

• Document daily as we've done in the past we prefer it.
• Stick with using the pocket photo pages. I like the look and feel of it when things are done.
• Use 12 x 12 size so I can still incorporate my 12 x 12 traditional scrapbook pages into it.
• Use a planner for documenting our day's notes. I tried this last year and I liked having another project to decorate. However I only got the first 3 month's done it's a little time consuming but I liked how I was able to use product up and it really helped my creativity process way more than I thought it would kinda like testing ideas out first. lol I'll be sharing more of this down the road.
• I am not doing a box this year to hold my cards until I am done. I know many of you loved me sharing this but this year I want to focus on getting caught up!

My Goals:

• To get the past albums DONE this year. I am working on ideas to help others as well if your in the same boat as me! haha
• Finish this year's album on time! I am setting specific time aside for me each week to just have fun with this project.

You may have seen this project already I used it for The Stamp Review Crew Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop HERE. Finally sharing the details today! My title card in the top left corner. I printed out the phrases onto Whisper White card stock. I wanted to bring in more color to the white so I underlined each phrase using the Berry Burst Stampin' Write Marker. To create this I used the following Sale-A- Bration Items.

Sweet Soiree Memoreis & More Card Pack are the cards I used for the pockets. I color coordinated with them by using our various products that match. I decorated the cards using using the Myths & Magic and Tutti-frutti Washi Tape, Silver Metallic Thread, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit, and 1/2 Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon. I also cut and die cut some of the Sweet Soriee Memories & More Card Pack to decorate the other cards. To die cut the cards I used the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with the Stitched Shape Framelits.

I used the dots stamp to stamp on my top left corner card on my layout and to create a banner on one of the bottom cards. I inked the stamp in Old Olive and used Old Olive card stock.

I used the Celebrate You Thinlits to die cut out the word "amazing" in Silver Glimmer Paper and added it to my bottom left card. I loved adding a word to the pre-printed card to create a title.

To decorate the big heart card I used Hostess Set Dare to Dream. This is one of my favorite hostess sets this year!! To get this set have an online catalog party, catalog party, place a minimum hostess party order to qualify for it or join my team (I welcome all stampers from hobby to career minded demos)! I inked the adventure phrase in Versa Mark and Old Olive. Stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed it with the Clear Embossing Powder. To add "the" and "Awaits" I inked those stamps in Versa Mark and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped onto the card. I then embossed using the Clear Embossing Powder.

Colorful Seasons Card + More Free Sale-A- Bration Choices

I made this card at OnStage last year. I am super excited to be going again this year. I'll get to see the new Stampin' Up! Catalog coming out in June and see lots of friends! So excited!! This card uses the Colorful Seasons Bundle item #145348 that can be found on page 147 in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

This is a really great bundle and I love how it covers all 4 seasons!

Here is one side of the Color Theory Memories & More Card Pack and the cardstock sticker sheets.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Cut a piece of Island Indigo card stock and create a card base. Take the stamp from Colorful Seasons Stamp Set; ink it Island Indigo and stamp across the card base.
• Cut one of the 4 x 6 checkerboard cards from the Color Theory Memories & More Card Pack to fit the front of the card base.
• You'll need one of 3 x 4 Old Olive cards from the Theory Memories & More Card Pack. Take the greeting stamp from Colorful Seasons Stamp Set; ink it Old Olive and stamp onto the bottom right corner of the card. Ink the flower stamp from Colorful Seasons Stamp Set; in Old Olive and stamp going across the card. Repeat until you have the amount of flowers you want.
• Cut a piece of 3/8 Crushed Curry Mini Chevron Ribbon and attach to the left side of the card.
• Take one of the 3 x 4 cards with the flower on it and cut out the flower and attach over the ribbon on the left side.

Suite Sentiments Card

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

I am back up and running! When I posted on the 28th I thought the Typepad issue was figured out...it was apparently NOT. Short version Typepad was basically out in MN only something about security issue with one of their providers. I for one am very glad the problem is fixed!

It continues to be wild here for us. Boy oh Boy what a wild ride this year has been so far! Wedding invites done and out the door, 1st birthday party, bridal shower party stuff done! Another batch of successful parties were pulled off (some how). Kitchen cabinets for my parents ordered! Of course while this is all going on my cousin decided it was time to work on my parent's bathroom.... What a mess and nightmare they had more water damage then originally thought so new bathroom and new entry way will be happening. I crumba and if that wasn't enough my dad fell and got hurt very bad he tore a tendon in his shoulder and tore his rotator cuff. Ughh and yes he will be having surgery we don't know when yet but just in time for calving season. haha April I don't plan on sleeping at all. Haha Life is never dull for sure! I sure hope the rest of you have not had crazy stuff going on like us!

Did you know February 21 is National Card Reading Day? SWEET perfect for us card makers a holiday for us :) This card was doing double duty for February. I made this for the Year of Gifts or visit HERE to see all that I have shared so far. I also used it for Sudsol Challenge #156. It uses the stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called Suite Sentiments (W) item #142968 (C) item #142971 and that FABUOLOUSE Carried Away Designer Series Paper item #143608 from the Sale A Bration!

This is a fabulous greeting set! The fonts? Astounding. The statements? Endearing. The stamp set? Breathtaking. It is a must have!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Create a base out of Whisper White Thick Card Stock. I use the thicker card stock when it's the base for a card stock since it is heaver.
• Cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock. Cut the Carried Away Designer Series Paper into little squares using 4 different patterns. Glue to the Smoky Slate card stock. Reminds me of a quilt.
• Ink the stamp from Suite Sentiments Stamp Set in Night of Navy and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Zip it through the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I placed it in the center with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Randomly place some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The inside I kept it simple I added little strips of Carried Away Designer Series Paper across the bottom and right side.

I just love this stamp set it's so fun for birthdays!! The greeting in it just cracks me up!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots

• I inked the stamp from Party Pants Stamp Set in Sahara Sand and stamped onto to the left side of the Sahara Sand card stock.
  
• I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I inked the stamp from Party Pants Stamp Set in Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron. I stamped all over the Whisper White card stock creating a confetti look.
• It's My Party Designer Series Paper is perfect for birthday cards!

Here is a close up of the stars and balloons.

• Create some loops with the Silver Metallic Thread.
• Punch out a piece of Mint Macaron card stock with the Medium Star Punch. Ink the stamp from Party Pants Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and stamp onto the star.
• Take the stamp from Party Pants Stamp Set ink it in Melon Mambo and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Punch out the balloon with the Balloon Bouquet Punch.
• Punch out a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper using the star from Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

On the inside I added Sahara Sand and Whisper White card stock. Across the bottom is a piece of It's My Party Designer Series Paper.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Zip the Early Espresso card stock through the Big Shot with the Tiny Triangle Embossing Folder.
• Zip the Pink Pirouette card stock through the Big Shot with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.
• Take the stamp from Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set; ink it in Watermelon Wonder and stamp onto Watermelon Wonder card stock to create a fun background.
• Ink the stamp from Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon and stamp onto a piece of Watercolor Paper.
• Color in the image using Many Marvelous Markers, 2015-2017 In Color Markers and Blender Pen. I used Watermelon Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Early Espresso. Punch out the image with the 2" Circle Punch.
  
• To finish the front off add some Gold Metallic Thread and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Inside I kept pretty simple.

• Early Espresso and Whisper White card stock where added.
• Zip a piece of Watermelon Wonder card stock through the Big Shot with the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder.

I just love this stamp set!! The bike is so cute and the greetings in the set I think our awesome!! I also added this card to my Etsy Store too!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Ink the bike from Pedal Pushers Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock.
  
• Color in the bike image using the Many Marvelous Markers. I used Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Smoky Slate.
• Add a piece of Regals Designer Series Paper at the top of the Whisper White card stock.
• Punch out a piece of Smoky Slate card stock with the Banner Punch. Then using the Handheld Stapler; staple the Smoky Slate and Regals Designer Series Paper to the top of the Whisper White card stock.
• Tie a piece of Old Olive Baker's Twine around the layers.
• Ink the greeting from Pedal Pushers Stamp Set in Old Olive and stamp onto the bottom right corner of the Whisper White card stock.
• I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the front wheel on the bike.
  

Here is a look at the inside. Kept it pretty simple and clean.

• Add a piece of Whisper White card stock.
• Ink the stamp from Pedal Pusher Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon and stamp onto the bottom right corner of the Whisper White card stock.
• Color the bird in using the Many Marvelous Markers (Crushed Curry).

I created this adorable little holder to slide in a napkin and plastic silverware. You can put these at each person's spot. I also created a little wrapper to hold and egg to if you would want to put an Easter Egg on each spot too. So very cute!! This chick is perfect for Easter!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• I folded over a piece of Basic Black card stock to create like a pocket. Sealed the sides with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
• Zip the Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.
• Add a piece of Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper across the Whisper White card stock.
• A piece of Metallics Glitter Tape (Silver) adds a perfect accent.
• I stamped the chick from Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Using a Blender Pen, So Saffron and Hello Honey Ink I colored the chick in.
• I stamped Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set onto Whisper White card stock; punched out the one end with the Banner Punch.

Here is a close up of the little egg holder. Super cute I think and so easy to make too!

• I cut a piece of Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. Then wrapped it into a circle and secured the ends together. The egg just sits into the circle.
• I stamped the chick again from Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon onto Whisper White card stock.
• Using a Blender Pen, So Saffron and Hello Honey Ink I colored the chick in again. 
• Cut out the chick and attach to the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. Now you have an egg holder!
