Stamp Review Crew Hop: Butterfly Gala

Stamp Review Crew blog banner

Welcome to another amazing Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the globe who will bring you lots of ideas featuring one stamp set each hop twice a month! The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. Please note the blog hop doesn't officially start until Monday February 18, 2019 so some of the links may not work.

If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Kelly's BLOG where she showed you all something fabulous and inspiring!!

We are featuring a stamp set called Butterfly Gala  item #148580. It is a photopolymer Stamp Set and is in the Occasions Stampin' Up! Catalog on pg. 35. It is part of a suite called Gingham Gala.

150599O1

Leave the winter blues behind with this gorgeous gingham suite, perfect for spring time! This is such a happy and fun suite. When I saw this suite I did a happy dance as I have several customers and family member's that love butterflies.

Butterfly Gala Stamp Set

Set butterflies and warm wishes free to brighten someone's day. This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set. Combine individual stamps to create the final image you want in the colors you want using Stampin' Up!'s coloring tools. The butterflies in this stamp set are AMAZING. I love, love the fonts on the words too!

Butterfly Gala Card

I created this fun and cheerful card for my customer's Occasion Catalog Packages. I loved how the colors worked on this card! I thought you all need a bright summer card; cause you all got to be like me, sooo tired of all that snow we've been getting lately! Here it literally looks like Christmas is going to happen again or we've become the new north pole and someone forgot to send me a memo. I can say I am over the hole shoveling thing it is highly overrated on the exercise department. lol

I used Gorgeous Grape, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist (we say goodbye to this color this year so sad). This stamp set does have a punch to go with but unfortunately it is unavailable because it was so popular it sold out! It will be in the new Main Catalog this summer.

IMG_8485

Here is a close up look. I used the Whisper White 5/8 Flax Ribbon and Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Along with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the butterflies up off the card.

Gingham Gala DSP

I also added a strip of Gingham Gala 6 x 6 Paper on the front of the card and on the inside. The 6 x 6 Stack comes in a fun assortment of colors.

IMG_9109

Here is the inside doesn't it just scream spring and summer? Since I can't go some place warm a girl can at least make spring/summer cards and dream. Be sure to stop back on Wed. I will share more details and pictures of this project.

You'll want to head on over now to Sue's BLOG were she will wow you! Thanks for hopping with us!

Hey Love Kids Valentine Bags

Hello! Today I am sharing how I decorated some gift bags for valentine's day. Yes, yes, I know Valentine's Day is over; however, we didn't get to see all the kids before Valentine's Day due to family schedules and I didn't want to give away this surprise. Plus, did you know it's so easy to decorate pretty much anything with just some stamps, ink and dies? You can file this idea away for next year or use this idea for and upcoming wedding, baby and etc. There are so many possibilities!

Hey Love Gift Bag

Every year I try to come up with something fun for the kids to make Valentine's Day extra special for our nieces and nephews. This year we did valentine themed cloths for the little one's so I need to figure out what to create for them besides a card. Light bulb idea, decorate one of the thousands of gift bags I have left over from our Year of Gifts Idea. I used the Hey Love Cling Stamp Set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits for the Occasions Catalog.

Hey Love Stamp Set

This is the Hey Love Cling Stamp Set item #148644 from the Occasions Catalog and it is my FAVORITE!! These adorable little critters are spreading love everywhere! I'll be showing you later on how to use this set outside of Valentine's Day so be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss out on any blog posts!

Hey Love Gift Bag Granny Apple Green

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • First using the Stampin' Up! Journal Pens I drew heart beats on the bag.
  • I cut a piece of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration item). Adhere to the bag between the drawn lines with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Botanical Butterfly DSP

This is the GORGEOUS Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper item #149622 from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It's Sale-A-Bration Time! For every $50 (before shipping and tax) you can pick a Level 1 item or for every $100 (before shipping and tax) you can pick a Level 2 item!

  • Using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits I die cut out a heart in Real Red, Basic Black and Granny Apple Green.
  • Ink the stamp from Hey Love Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp onto the Real Red heart and adhere to the bag with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere the Basic Black heart to the gift bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Ink the stamp from Hey Love Cling Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green Ink and stamp onto the Granny Apple Green heart. Adhere to the bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Tie a piece of 3/8 Shimmer Ribbon Basic Black onto the handle.

Be Mine Stitched Framelits

To create the heart die cuts, I used the Be Mine Stitched Framelits item #148527 from the Occasions Catalog. Create die-cut hearts in all shapes and sizes in record time with Framelits dies and the Big Shot. Dies have stitching and scalloped details. You NEED these framelits they are da bomb!

Hey Love Gift Bag Gorgeous Grape

For the girls bags I used Gorgeous Grape and the boys got the Granny Apple Green Bags.

RRClingBanner

Have you heard? Stampin' Up! has created the new cling stamps! Cling stamps feature the same quality rubber stamps you’ve always loved and they now come with highly adhesive image labels. The benefit is that they will cling like crazy to clear blocks so you don’t have to worry about your stamp image shifting or falling off of the block. Cling stamps make stamping easy!

Here is a video to help you assemble your new Cling Stamps

Note: Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered Attempting to remove or adjust the label will damage the stamp’s foam.

  • Remove the paper backing from the label.
  • Remove your selected stamp from the rubber sheet and remove the paper backing from the stamp.
  • Line up the foam side of the stamp with the image label, then press it evenly to adhere it to the label.
  • Make sure it is correctly positioned before you adhere it to the stamp.
  • Remove the stamp and its newly-affixed image label from the label sheet.
  • Place the stamp on an acrylic block to begin stamping.

Best Practices

To remove the stamp from the block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly. (Cling stamps stick so well that if they are not carefully removed from the block, the foam can tear.) To clean the labels, simply rinse under running water. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners.

If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Kelly's BLOG where she showed you all something fabulous!

We are featuring the Bubble Over Photopolymer Stamp Set item #145868 from the 2018 Occasions Stampin' Up! Catalog. When I saw this in the catalog I totally fell in love with it and is a must have!

Bubble Over Bundle

You can purchase this as a bundle too and save 10%! Please note they don't come on magnets this is how I store my framelits :)

Bubble Over Card

I had to be different and not use the matching Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper that coordinates with it from the Sale-a-bration catalog. ;) I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could do it. lol Instead I used the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper and Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper.

IMG_3001

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • I created a card base out of Dapper Denim.
  • Cut a piece of Basic Gray and Whisper White card stock. I used the stamp from Bubble Over Stamp Set to create my own paper pattern by stamping in Dapper Denim Ink (soon to retire in-color) onto the Whisper White.
  • I added the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper in two different patterns to the card base.
  • A piece of Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper to work in another fun color.
  • I added a piece of 1/4 Stitched Rich Razzleberry Ribbon across the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper.

IMG_3017

  • I die cut out a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper using the Big Shot and the Layering Circles Framelits.
  • Stamp the bottle in Basic Gray Ink onto Whisper White card stock then zip it through the Big Shot with the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits to die cut it out.
  • Attach some Black Mini Sequin Trim and Silver Metallic Thread to the back of the bottle and attach over the Silver Glimmer Paper.
  • Die cut out a piece of Fresh Fig card stock using the Big Shot and Bottles & Bubbles Framelits. Attach to the bottle with a Stampin' Dimensional.
  • Stamp the birthday greeting in Dapper Denim Ink onto Whisper White card stock. Zip through the Big Shot with the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits die cutting it out and glue to the Fresh Fig card stock on the bottle.
  • To finish add some Glitter Enamel Shapes. I love these so much the really dress up any project!

IMG_3011

Here is the inside of the card.

Cut a piece of Basic Gray and Whisper White card stock. Stamp some bubbles in Dapper Denim and Lucky Limeade in the corners of the Whisper White card stock. Add a strip of the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper.

I hope you like this project. I love hearing from you please leave your questions or comments below! Now you'll want to hop on over to Heidi's BLOG where I know he will have some awesome to show you! Thanks for stopping in and hopping with us!

This is a BONUS BLOG HOP and we are all focusing on Sale-A-Bration item not just one stamp set. This year Stampin' Up! has 2 different levels to earn FREEBIES!!  For every $50 or $100 before tax and shipping you can earn one of the AWESOME products from the Sale-a-bration Catalog from Jan. 4- March 31, 2018!! SWEET!!! There are so many awesome items to choose from too! If your like me and have a heck of a time choosing what to get for your free item and want it all then sign up to become a demonstrator! That's what I did ;)

For my project I actually used 3 different Sale-a-Bration Products to create my master piece ;)

Cover Page SAB

This is the cover page for our Daily Memories Album for 2018! Our theme this year is to celebrate me turning 40, so it's focused on 40 (this years theme was all my hubbies idea too). Every year we do a Daily Memories Album....I still am in the middle of 2015 though as far as actually getting the stuff into an albums. I know very bad of us! LOL But we do all year document and take pictures so at least we got that part done. So hubby and I came up with a 40 Bucket List for us to do this year....do you know how hard it is to come up with 40 things that you can actually do/afford too? That was an adventure in it's self! LOL

I used the Sweet Soiree Memories & More card pack, Epic Celebrations Stamp Stamp Set, Celebrate You Thinlits Dies and Dare to Dream Hostess Set to create my layout. I also did some embossing on the cards here and their. I think it is the best cover page I have ever created yet! It uses my two favorite colors green and dark berry purple.

I will have more details about this project on Friday so you'll want to be sure to stop back to find out how I created the project and hear about the humor side of it!

Now you'll want to head on over to Charlet's BLOG where I know you will love her project!!

If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Charlet's BLOG where she showed you all something fabulous! This is such a fun set! I decided to do something a little different with it :)

Picture perfect birthday

This year hubby and I are celebrating the new year for a month instead of just new year's day lol, so what better way to do that then make new year's cards to send out to our friends. After this past year and the last few weeks around here this saying is pretty fitting for us. I also paired it the my ever favorite greeting set Teeny Tiny Wishes. Don't those colors together just feel fresh and vibrant? Perfect for our January!

And I continued the celebration to the inside of the card ;)

I hope you like this project. Now you'll want to hop on over to Valerie's BLOG where I know he will have some awesome to show you!

The Stamp Review Crew; Nailed It

Nailed It banner

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!! The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. Please note the blog doesn't officially start until Monday May 1 , 2017 so some of the links may not work.

If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Jessica's BLOG where she showed you all something fabulous! We are featuring the Nailed It Stamp Set (W) item #143074 (C) item #143077 from the Occasions Stampin' Up! Catalog. Now, we choose the sets we are going to use for these hops up to 4 months in advance, so May is always a tough month for us. What we plan to use sometimes is retired before we can feature it, like the Build It dies that coordinate with this set. We decided to go forward with this set because the stamps are still available through May 22, 2017 at least (in the US and Canada only). And to provide ideas for those who already own the stamps and the dies. Enjoy!

Nailed It Card #1

To be ahead of the game this year I made a batch of Father's Day cards which now I am soo glad I did with all that has been going on with us! lol I just want to say thank you all for your prayers our family really appreciates it! I absolutely loved this bundle and it so fit us too!!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Ink the nails in Delightful Dijon and stamp onto a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock. Remember this is one of the incolors retiring this year!
  • I add 3 different layers of Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper.
  • I inked the greeting in Basic Gray and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. Then zipped it through the Big Shot with the Build It Framelits Dies to die cut it out. Placed onto the layer.
  • Next I added the Urban Underground Embellishments; one on each side of the greeting to finish it.

Nailed It Card #2

Next I made a stepped up version of the first one :) I made it exactly as the same as the first one with the exception of instead of stamping on the Delightful Dijon card stock I zipped it through the Big Shot with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Pretty cool right?

Supplies Used
Stamp: Nailed It
Ink: Delightful Dijon, Basic Gray
Paper: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Delightful Dijon, Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper
Acc.: Big Shot, Build It Framelits, Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder, Urban Underground Embellishments
