My Inky Friends Hop: Designer Paper Showcase

Designer Paper Showcase

Welcome to My Inky Friends: Designer Series Paper Showcase Blog Hop. Each blog will be featuring one of the Designer Series Papers from our catalogs. I don't know about you all but this is one of my number one items I use all the time to create my projects. Please note the blog hop doesn't officially start until noon EST today April 12, 2019 some of the links may not work right away. This hop goes through Sunday April 14, 2019.

If you have been following the tour in order you would have arrived from Shar's Blog where she is showcasing Gardens Impression Designer Series Paper another one of my favorites. Didn't she do an awesome job!!!

I am featuring the Tropical Escape 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack item #146916. I fell in love with this paper right off the bat when I got to see it at Onstage last spring! The funny part it has pink in it. haha

Tropical Escape DSP Stack

Bora Bora? Maldives? Turks and Caicos? Bali? No matter the tropical destination of your choice, this paper will put you into a traveling mood in no time! Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White. It coordinates with the Tropical Suite in the Stampin' Up! Catalog on page 120.

Tropical Escape Thank You Cards

I have some very quick and cute thank you cards. These are great for some simple and quick stamping; that is the beauty of using designer paper! These are also great for a quick copy idea too. The Tropical Escape 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper pairs beautiful with the Fabulous Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set item #143758.

Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set

You know what they say, birds of a feather stamp together. This sassy and classy flamingo will show off your stamping skills when you carefully layer all three stamps to create a flamingo worthy of every climate! Here are some close ups of the cards.

IMG_9277

I cut a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock to layer behind the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper.

IMG_9279

I cut a piece of Basic Black card stock, then another piece of the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper in the (Blushing Bride). I adhered those two together.

IMG_9282

I inked the stamp from Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I adhered the Whisper White card stock to the Basic Black and Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper. To finish it I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

On the inside of each card I added the coordinating piece of Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper. Simple but a cute little card!

This year one of my goals (yes I am one of those crazy people that likes to set goals...could be a competitive thing) is to think outside the box. Why cause I thought it could be interesting and a challenge..again competitive thing. lol How do I use this set in a out of the box and different way?

January Planner MIF

How about ONLY use part of the words from the images to create new phrases for my planner! Boom shocka-lacka!!! I am quite proud of this idea. haha Yep I am a planner girl too I've been using planners for years and about 4 years ago created a system that works awesome for all of our different business and personal life. Stampin' Up! does sell a planner but I didn't want to change my system that I already have set in place and fine tuned. I had a planner for each one of our business (4), a budget planner, memory keeper planner, blog planner and class planner, and a personal planner. Think I am a addict? lol This year I decided to condense down to one mini planner for our businesses, budget and personal planner. I still kept my 2 planners for my Stampin' Up! business and memory keeper planner. We'll see if it works, I like the idea of small planner to carry it with me just not sure if it'll be big enough for all of our happenings.

IMG_8979

Any how I created various new phrases by using our Stampin' Write Markers to highlight the different words then stamping them one at a time to create new phrases. Top left corner I have created a label "Inspire today" is one of them. I used the today word to create the countdown sticker till christmas. Yes it was challenging I am sure hubby thought I had gone bat crazy when I kept yelling boo ya when I got something to line up. lol

IMG_8975

I love documenting our life and my planner is a big part of my story....it's the only thing that keeps me together haha. So I thought this set was fitting for me. I created a Date sticker for our Date night by using the us and heart out of one of the other stamps. I love the saying lets get together and giggle. I will be spending a weekend with my cousin's boys and when were together we giggle a lot so the saying was very fitting for that event. Another thing this year I am doing for a goal is setting aside 1 day out of the month for just me. This means no working just stamping for fun, maybe a pajama day reading one of my books, or watching T.V. you get the idea. That day will be unplanned I'll do what I feel like doing when I wake up! I created the you day sticker by using a couple of different words out of the stamps in the stamp set.

I hope my project inspired you to think outside the box!

Now you'll want to head on over to Cindy's BLOG where I know you will love her project!!

My Inky Friends: Thankful For Blog Hop

Thankful For Blog Hop

Welcome to My Inky Friends: Thankful For Blog Hop. Each blog will be featuring one item from the Stampin' Up! Catalog that they are thankful for. Please note the blog hop doesn't officially start until noon EST today Nov 9 some of the links may not work right away. The hop goes through Sunday November 11, 2018.

If you have been following the tour in order you would have arrived from Sara's Blog Lily Inkpad where she is showcasing colors Didn't she do an awesome job!!! I am featuring the Rooted In Nature Bundle. I love this bundle so much! I actually got the stamp set at Onstage in Milwaukee and really I am more thankful for Stampin' Up! without this company I would not have meet the people who have become my really good friends and have been their so much for me and my family through the years.

Rooted In Nature Bundle

Unfortunately life has really been kicking us bad. My RA has been so bad the meds just aren't working and I am having a reaction to them besides that is causing major swelling and pain I CRUMBA. Then this week we suddenly lost a family member unexpectedly that has just been a huge shock for all of us. So this comes back to Stampin' Up! and how grateful I am for them because I created a project at onstage way back in April that I didn't get around to sharing so they saved my bacon since my fellow SU demo's are in Florida right now and some may not have internet access for my to drop out of the hop ( I hope you are having a blast!). Thank you SU and my fellow demo's the last 4 months have been a nightmare for us and I appreciate everything and your support!

IMG_5525

I loved making this card it is simple and different from anything I've ever made but I think it really makes a statement. It uses the gorgeous Natures Poem Designer Series Paper. The colors are Mint Macaron, Soft Suede, Blackberry Bliss, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pumpkin Pie I would have not ever thought to put this combo together it is simply a gorgeous color combo.

Now you'll want to head on over to Mary's Blog Centerstage Stamping where she is featuring the returning In Color Blackberry Bliss and I know you will love her fabulous creations as much as I do! Thanks for hopping with us!

My Inky Friends: Carnival of Colors Blog Hop

Carnival of Colors

Welcome to My Inky Friends: Carnival of Colors Blog Hop. Each blog will be featuring one of the New Stampin' Up! Colors. Please note the blog hop doesn't officially start until noon EST today July 13 some of the links may not work right away. The hop goes through Sunday July 15, 2018.

If you have been following the tour in order I am the first stop on the hop or if you started backwards you would have arrived from Betty's Blog Kitty Stamp where she is showcasing the color Petal Pink. Didn't she do an awesome job!!! The new color I am featuring is Balmy Blue. I love this new blue color and you will too!

Balmy Blue

Balmy Blue is like a baby blue but more vivid. It is more blue than the greenish tones in Pool Party. I love this color and it is perfect for baby cards!

Little Twinkle Card

Gorgeous baby card with the Balmy Blue color. I used the brand new Little Twinkle Bundle (W) item #148413 (C) item #148414 and Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set (W) item #146664 (C) item #146667 to create this card.

Little Twinkle Bundle

This is a gotta have set it is so adorable! We have 2 babies on the way this year so it was a must have for me! You can purchase these items together as a bundle and save 10%.

Itty Bitty Greetings

Another must have set I think! So many fun little greetings in this set.

  • Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4" x 5 1/4". Zip it through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder.
  • Cut a piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. Take the stamp from Little Twinkle Stamp Set, ink it in Balmy Blue and stamp onto the designer paper to give it a pattern look. Glue it to the bottom of the Whisper White card stock.
  • Tie a piece of the yummy Whisper White 5/8 Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the the layers. Adhere the Whisper White card stock to the Balmy Blue card base.

  • Ink the saying from Little Tinkle Stamp Set in Balmy Blue and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock. Using the Twinkle Builder Punch; punch the top right corner of the Whisper White card stock. Adhere the Whisper White and Balmy Blue card stock together. Using Stampin' Dimensionals I placed the greeting onto the center of the card.

  • Using the Twinkle Builder Punch I punched out a piece of Balmy Blue card stock to get the moon and attached it to the card with a Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Using the Stitched Labels Framelits and Big Shot Die Cutting Machine I die cut out some Silver Glimmer Paper to get the hearts and the decorative Whisper White circle.
  • I stamped sweet baby in Balmy Blue ink using the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set onto the Whisper White circle. I attached all the pieces with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish the card I placed some Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins randomly onto the card.
