Halloween Countdown: Tombstone Treats

Halloween Countdown October 25-31 2021

Hello,

Well best laid plans don't always go as planned! Sorry for the delay on sharing my Halloween projects; this week ended up turning upside down. My pup Ghost was pretty ill. I've been getting over a REALLY BAD bug felt a lot better but did too much too soon. It is going around here so bad too. We have multiple nieces and nephews who have now gotten sick, couple have been to ER because they were so bad. Ugh hate when little's get so sick.

I have lots of SCARY things to show you this week! Starting today October 25 - 31, 2021 I will be sharing a Halloween project with you each day. So excited to share the stuff I made + plus a fun big reveal project at the end. I hope you have a Hauntingly Good Time.

RR Halloween Treat Box (1)

Today's fun project features the Tombstone Treat Boxes from the Stampin' Up! July - December 2021 Mini Catalog on page 51. I personally love these Tombstone Treat Boxes; easy to assemble, hold quite a bit of stuff and supper fun! These are so popular they are currently on back order. Even though they are on back order I ordered more for next year since I loved them so much! I used a variety of stamp sets to create these. This was my first batch I'll be sharing the second batch in a couple of days.

RR Frightfully Cute Bundle

Turn ho-hum trick-or-treat sweets into a delectable surprise with Frightfully Cute Bundle. This bundle includes the Frightfully Cute Stamp Set and the Frightful Tags Dies item #156493 is on page 52. Mix and match stamped images with die-cut shapes and tag pieces. Images are sized perfectly to fit on small chocolate bars or other sweets for trick-or-treaters.

RR Halloween Treat Box (3)

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Ink the stamp from Frightfully Cute Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink then stamp onto the top Tombstone Treat Box. Repeat until you have the desired look you want. Assemble the box, they already have the sticky tape on them so all you have to do is fold, pull the backing off and press together. Fill your treat box with goodies.

Rubberredneck Quick Tip:

  • You want to stamp on the treat boxes before assembling. I had a complete duh moment and assembled them before stamping on them. I still was able to stamp but I had to be careful to not press too hard but firm enough to get a crisp image. Learn from me and don't make my mistake! LOL

Decorating the top:

  • Ink the moon from Frightfully Cute Stamp Set in Crushed Curry Classic Ink and stamp onto piece of Crushed Curry card stock. Zip stamped moon through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Frightful Tags Dies. Add some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the moon. Set aside the piece to dry.
  • Zip a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Frightful Tags Dies. Ink the witch from Frightfully Cute in Granny Apple Classic Ink and stamp onto the die cut. Ink the saying in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp onto the die cut over lapping the witch.
  • Zip a piece of Basic Black card stock through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Frightful Tags Dies.
  • Cut some Metallic Mesh Ribbon and wrap around the Tombstone Treat Boxes. Start decorating your box with the die cut pieces by adhering with Stampin' Dimemsionals. Place Matte Black Dots onto the top randomly.

RR Halloween Treat Box (2)

For my next box I used the Sparkle of the Season Bundle item #156765 on pg. 58 in the Stampin' Up! July - December 2021 Mini Catalog. Along with Banner Year Photopolymer Stamp Set item #158239 in the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog pg. 95.

  • Ink the stamp from Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Gray Granite and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Zip the Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. Adhere on top of the ribbon.
  • To finish add a Faceted Dot to the tag on the left side.

First Frost Card (6)

On the inside I kept it simple. I inked the greeting from Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Gray Granite and stamped on the center of the card base. I stamped the flower image from First Frost Stamp Set on the bottom right corner in Night of Navy. Zip a piece of Gray Granite card stock through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Spooky Sweets Gift Ideas

Hey Peeps!

Happy Friday! Sorry I've been missing the last 3 months have been insane and a little rough for us. In August Hubby suddenly became unemployed. The contract that hubby was working on suddenly pulled the $$$ which then resulted in lawyers and here we are 3 month's later and still don't know when he'll be back to work. We were going to Onstage in Orlando Florida but now have had to cancel :( So sad that I will miss seeing my friends. I also want to say thank you to my customers for your support during this time you all are so great and I am so lucky to be your demo!

Spooky Sweets Bundle

My favorite Halloween Bundle out of the Holiday Catalog this year is the Spooky Sweets Bundle. It makes the perfect little 3 x 3 note cards too! These are great for giving to co-workers, friends, neighbors, customers, teachers, children's class mates and etc.

Spooky Sweets Bundle

This is the Spooky Sweets Bundle is it not just cute! It is available in wood mount item #149974 or clear mount item #149973. I love the imagery in the stamp set and love the bat punch. I'll be able to use it for halloween and for the kids year around. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw it is I am Bat Man. lol yeah maybe have watched that too much. It also coordinates with the Twinkle Builder Punch.

And of course stamp the bats in Gorgeous Grape on a 3 x 3 Envelope. So cute I've listed a set of these in my Etsy Shop too!

Now my next project to share is something fun and different. I finished converting my Stampin' Up! wood stamps over to clear, we were going to burn the blocks in our stove to use as heating instead of just tossing them but then I got some crafty ideas in my head. lol

IMG_7163

I painted the wood blocks with orange chalk paint and using my silhouette I cut out faces. Then drilled holes at the top and painted a dowel in brown chalk paint and cut it down to create stems. I finished them by adding some Granny Apple 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon to the stems. Are these not stinking cute? You can turn them around and use them for fall as we made them to be reversible! We made a batch up for close friends and listed them in my Etsy Shop too!

Spooky Sweets Bundle Baker's Box

Of course I need to create gift boxes to hold those cute little pumpkins to give :) The Baker's Boxes are perfect for holding gifts! I've also added the Baker's Boxes to my Etsy Shop too!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • You will need 1 Baker's Box. I decorated the top only.
  • Cut 1 piece of Mango Melody and zip through the Big Shot with the Swirls and Curls Textured Embossing Folder. Adhere to the Baker's Box lid.
  • Cut 2 different patterns of Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the Mango Melody card stock.
  • Cut a piece of Black 3/8 Glittered Organdy Ribbon and tie around the Baker's Box so it will slide off the box.
  • Zip a piece of Vellum card stock through the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Adhere to the Baker's Box, make sure you don't attach it so the ribbon can slide off.
  • Ink the stamp from Spooky Sweets in Gorgeous Grape and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White thick card stock. Zip it through the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Adhere to the right of the Vellum circle.
  • Using the Spooky Bats Punch; punch out some bats in Basic Black card stock. Adhere to the the Baker's Box. Finish by adding some Metallics Sequins.

I filled the Baker's Box with purple filler and placed the wood blocks inside. Everyone loved getting these blocks too!
