Countdown Calendar

Every December needs a advent calendar! Today's project is more about creating a fun activity for the kiddos. This year we put together a December package for our siblings families that included things to do as a family. This calendar was one of the activities for them to do. As each day progress they are to glue a pom pom over that day's number. The pom poms colors consist of yellow, red, green and brown. At day 25 they will have a filled in Christmas Tree. This was a very big hit, the kids were so excited to have their own little christmas tree. This project is great for using up things in your stash like all that chipboard that comes in the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Packs that you hoard cause you know you will need it some day! ;)

Supplies Needed:

Silhouette + Various Vinyls (Red, Green, Yellow, Gold)
Crop - A - Dile
Scissors

Christmas Countdown Calendar by Graphic House Designs
White Chipboard (this gives it more stability then card stock)
Choice of Christmas DSP for the back
Hemp Twine
Adhesive
Pom Poms

Level: 2
Time: 30 min once you get the first one figured out

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Using the Silhouette I made a box in the Silhouette Design Studio size 11 3/4" x 11 3/4". I then brought the image into it and sized it to fill the square. Once that was done I then started cutting out my vinyl.

Quick Tip: To save on vinyl I will cut things out in batches. So for example I cut the Merry + 25 out together in a line. This saves a lot of vinyl by doing that.

  • Cut a piece of White Chipboard that comes in Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper Package and cut it down to 11 3/4" x 11 3/4".
  • Cut a piece of Stampin' Up!s Christmas Designer Series Paper again I used some retired stuff from my stash (forgot to take the picture) cut it 11 3/4" x 11 3/4". Adhere it to the back of the White Chipboard.
  • I then placed the vinyl pieces onto the Chipboard.
  • At the top I used the retired Stampin' Up! Crop-A-Dile to punch holes. I then ran some retired Stampin' Up! Hemp through the holes. I made a loop so it can hang from a door handle.

I had a lot of fun creating this, especially knowing the nieces and nephews will have so much fun with it! Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoyed today's fun project!

Hey Love Kids Valentine Bags

Hello! Today I am sharing how I decorated some gift bags for valentine's day. Yes, yes, I know Valentine's Day is over; however, we didn't get to see all the kids before Valentine's Day due to family schedules and I didn't want to give away this surprise. Plus, did you know it's so easy to decorate pretty much anything with just some stamps, ink and dies? You can file this idea away for next year or use this idea for and upcoming wedding, baby and etc. There are so many possibilities!

Hey Love Gift Bag

Every year I try to come up with something fun for the kids to make Valentine's Day extra special for our nieces and nephews. This year we did valentine themed cloths for the little one's so I need to figure out what to create for them besides a card. Light bulb idea, decorate one of the thousands of gift bags I have left over from our Year of Gifts Idea. I used the Hey Love Cling Stamp Set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits for the Occasions Catalog.

Hey Love Stamp Set

This is the Hey Love Cling Stamp Set item #148644 from the Occasions Catalog and it is my FAVORITE!! These adorable little critters are spreading love everywhere! I'll be showing you later on how to use this set outside of Valentine's Day so be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss out on any blog posts!

Hey Love Gift Bag Granny Apple Green

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • First using the Stampin' Up! Journal Pens I drew heart beats on the bag.
  • I cut a piece of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration item). Adhere to the bag between the drawn lines with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Botanical Butterfly DSP

This is the GORGEOUS Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper item #149622 from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It's Sale-A-Bration Time! For every $50 (before shipping and tax) you can pick a Level 1 item or for every $100 (before shipping and tax) you can pick a Level 2 item!

  • Using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits I die cut out a heart in Real Red, Basic Black and Granny Apple Green.
  • Ink the stamp from Hey Love Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp onto the Real Red heart and adhere to the bag with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere the Basic Black heart to the gift bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Ink the stamp from Hey Love Cling Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green Ink and stamp onto the Granny Apple Green heart. Adhere to the bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Tie a piece of 3/8 Shimmer Ribbon Basic Black onto the handle.

Be Mine Stitched Framelits

To create the heart die cuts, I used the Be Mine Stitched Framelits item #148527 from the Occasions Catalog. Create die-cut hearts in all shapes and sizes in record time with Framelits dies and the Big Shot. Dies have stitching and scalloped details. You NEED these framelits they are da bomb!

Hey Love Gift Bag Gorgeous Grape

For the girls bags I used Gorgeous Grape and the boys got the Granny Apple Green Bags.

RRClingBanner

Have you heard? Stampin' Up! has created the new cling stamps! Cling stamps feature the same quality rubber stamps you’ve always loved and they now come with highly adhesive image labels. The benefit is that they will cling like crazy to clear blocks so you don’t have to worry about your stamp image shifting or falling off of the block. Cling stamps make stamping easy!

Here is a video to help you assemble your new Cling Stamps

Note: Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered Attempting to remove or adjust the label will damage the stamp’s foam.

  • Remove the paper backing from the label.
  • Remove your selected stamp from the rubber sheet and remove the paper backing from the stamp.
  • Line up the foam side of the stamp with the image label, then press it evenly to adhere it to the label.
  • Make sure it is correctly positioned before you adhere it to the stamp.
  • Remove the stamp and its newly-affixed image label from the label sheet.
  • Place the stamp on an acrylic block to begin stamping.

Best Practices

To remove the stamp from the block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly. (Cling stamps stick so well that if they are not carefully removed from the block, the foam can tear.) To clean the labels, simply rinse under running water. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners.

Family Gifts: November Box + Thanksgiving Day

November Family Box 1

November Month Box

This is another gift we created for our family members and is part of the "Year Gift" we made. If you would like to see more info about this awesome project we created and what I've shared so far click on the little tag on the left side of my blog labeled Year of Gifts or visit HERE or visit my pinterest board  Rubber Redneck Year Gifts to see them all in one spot.

At the beginning of each month; each family had a box to open on the first of the month besides the random days we picked out of each month.  In this month box is a fact sheet we put together about the month it includes the following: the history of the month's name, historical things that happened for the month on select dates, and what the month is know for. (It's pretty cool as I am a huge history buff so I love these sheets we created!) Each month is also know for a lot of things so we just picked a few things that we thought would be fun to learn about. November Box features the following; Puzzle Week, Thanksgiving Family, and Black Friday.

What we did:

IMG_9754

For Thanksgiving: We had a bit of fun with this. I decorated pudding boxes by making punch turkeys. I used some retired dsp from my stash along with card stock. I used the following Circle Punches to create this, 2", 1 3/4", 1 1/4", 1", 3/4", and 1/8 hand held punch. Supper easy and fun to make. These would make great table decorations! I also found some table cloths that you color in that had turkeys and etc all over them. The kids adored them.

IMG_9778

Two of the siblings received these photo frames. I used some dsp from another company from my stash to decorate. I modgepodge the dsp onto the wood frame. I found some family chipboard pieces and painted them yellow and hot glued them to the frame.

November Family Box 2

Then to be funny we have two brothers that we never get to have thanksgiving with on thanksgiving day. My brother works at Target and the other brother hosts an annual gathering at their home. We thought it would be hilarious to provide thanksgiving fixings all but the turkey....what I hadn't planned on is that I would be eating one of these meals. So that prank backfired on me karma right?? lol

Black Friday Gift

Black Friday: Another one of those ideas that we just had fun with, we made 3 kits the same and then a real special one for my brother ;). I put the kits in a White lunch bag, made a tag and attached with some retired washi tape.

IMG_9733

This Kit included the following: Notepad, Rubber gloves to leave no fingerprints, ninja star, rubber bands, bat whistle, band-aids, money and hand sanitizer.

IMG_9730

As I mentioned my brother works at Target and over the years there are a lot of stories of stuff that has happened to my brother or in the stores he's worked in. So to give my brother a laugh we put this kit together for him along with a paper print out of what each item was for.

The Print Out Reads:

Working Black Friday, we know can be EXTREMLY dangerous so the elves have put together a special survival kit just for you to help you survive all those crazy Target Shoppers. In this survival kit, you will find the following:

1- Camouflage bag aka target bag: (this will help you get past security) and nobody will suspect what is inside.
1- Dr. Scholl’s Insoles: this will help keep your feet fresh and comfortable after spending hours chasing those the crazy shoppers and wayward children.
1- Roll of Duct Tape: use in case of emergency patching or extremely rowdy customer.
1- Hand Sanitizer: to try to stay somewhat healthy, Christmas is right around the corner after all and you need to be healthy to wrap my presents.
1- Whistle: In case you get overrun whistle for help.
1- Set of Ninja Stars: break out these bad boys for the EXTREMELY aggressive shopper. You can also use them to help secure that last item that you are shopping for encase there is competition.
1- Pair of Latex Free Rubber Gloves: wear these in case you end up using the Ninja Stars because you don’t want to be leaving any evidence.
6- Rubber Bands: 2nd line of defense if all else fails aim for the eyes.
1- Set of Ear Plugs: pop these suckers in if you just need to escape to your happy place.
2- Large Band-Aids: because we know there will be blood.
1- Compress Pad: because we know there will be LOTS of blood.

IMG_9747

Here it is all bagged up ;) My brother thought it was pretty funny.

Puzzle Week:

The third week of November is Puzzle week so each box received some of those BB Mazes (to be non traditional lol). We use to get these all the time when I was a kid so I thought it would be fun to include them.

That was what we included in the November Month Box for each family member that they opened last thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Day Gifts:

Thanksgiving Day Gifts

This is what we put together for the families to open on Thanksgiving Day. I found some fun craft making kits at one of the craft stores so I thought these would be great to keep the kids entertained. For the younger kids I printed out color sheets. You can find a ton of these on-line for free. For the adults I printed out word puzzles, color images and etc all thanksgiving theme. I used some random dsp from my stash to create a pouch to slide the papers into to make them festive for Thanksgiving. Simple make them bigger than 8 1/2" x 11" I clipped the sheets together with one of our retired clips and tied some raffia at the top. Then added a thanksgiving card to each gift.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Spooky Sweets Gift Ideas

Hey Peeps!

Happy Friday! Sorry I've been missing the last 3 months have been insane and a little rough for us. In August Hubby suddenly became unemployed. The contract that hubby was working on suddenly pulled the $$$ which then resulted in lawyers and here we are 3 month's later and still don't know when he'll be back to work. We were going to Onstage in Orlando Florida but now have had to cancel :( So sad that I will miss seeing my friends. I also want to say thank you to my customers for your support during this time you all are so great and I am so lucky to be your demo!

Spooky Sweets Bundle

My favorite Halloween Bundle out of the Holiday Catalog this year is the Spooky Sweets Bundle. It makes the perfect little 3 x 3 note cards too! These are great for giving to co-workers, friends, neighbors, customers, teachers, children's class mates and etc.

Spooky Sweets Bundle

This is the Spooky Sweets Bundle is it not just cute! It is available in wood mount item #149974 or clear mount item #149973. I love the imagery in the stamp set and love the bat punch. I'll be able to use it for halloween and for the kids year around. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw it is I am Bat Man. lol yeah maybe have watched that too much. It also coordinates with the Twinkle Builder Punch.

  • Zip a piece of Basic Black card stock through the Big Shot with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. Adhere to the center of the Mango Melody card stock.
  • Cut a piece of Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper and adhere across the Mango Melody card stock.
  • Tie a piece of Solid Basic Black Baker's Twine around the layers and adhere the Mango Melody to the Whisper White card base.

  • Using the Spooky Bats Punch; punch out a bat in Basic Black card stock. Adhere to the card front. Finish by adding a Metallic Pearl to the card.

IMG_7323

On the inside I added a piece of Toil & Trouble Designer Series across the bottom.

IMG_7317

And of course stamp the bats in Gorgeous Grape on a 3 x 3 Envelope. So cute I've listed a set of these in my Etsy Shop too!

Now my next project to share is something fun and different. I finished converting my Stampin' Up! wood stamps over to clear, we were going to burn the blocks in our stove to use as heating instead of just tossing them but then I got some crafty ideas in my head. lol

IMG_7163

I painted the wood blocks with orange chalk paint and using my silhouette I cut out faces. Then drilled holes at the top and painted a dowel in brown chalk paint and cut it down to create stems. I finished them by adding some Granny Apple 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon to the stems. Are these not stinking cute? You can turn them around and use them for fall as we made them to be reversible! We made a batch up for close friends and listed them in my Etsy Shop too!

Spooky Sweets Bundle Baker's Box

Of course I need to create gift boxes to hold those cute little pumpkins to give :) The Baker's Boxes are perfect for holding gifts! I've also added the Baker's Boxes to my Etsy Shop too!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • You will need 1 Baker's Box. I decorated the top only.
  • Cut 1 piece of Mango Melody and zip through the Big Shot with the Swirls and Curls Textured Embossing Folder. Adhere to the Baker's Box lid.
  • Cut 2 different patterns of Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the Mango Melody card stock.
  • Cut a piece of Black 3/8 Glittered Organdy Ribbon and tie around the Baker's Box so it will slide off the box.
  • Zip a piece of Vellum card stock through the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Adhere to the Baker's Box, make sure you don't attach it so the ribbon can slide off.
  • Ink the stamp from Spooky Sweets in Gorgeous Grape and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White thick card stock. Zip it through the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Adhere to the right of the Vellum circle.
  • Using the Spooky Bats Punch; punch out some bats in Basic Black card stock. Adhere to the the Baker's Box. Finish by adding some Metallics Sequins.

IMG_7338

I filled the Baker's Box with purple filler and placed the wood blocks inside. Everyone loved getting these blocks too!

Ready to Pop Stamp Set
Ready to Pop Stamp Set

Today's project features 2 of the items on the retiring list the Ready to Pop Photopolymer Stamp Set & Popcorn Box Thinlit. I love these two items and I am sad to see them go since I really thought they were very versatile. I also used them to create one of the gifts I made for our family.

IMG_0068

Did you know there is a National Popcorn Day? I sure did not! lol When I saw it listed, I knew I wanted to do it immediately because I owned this set and die and because I LOVE popcorn. I actually pop it like how my family did when I was a kid on the stove in a pan. I just use Olive Oil instead of vegetable oil sometimes we melt butter and put it on there too. This was one of the family gifts for our year of gifts. If you would like to see more info about this awesome project we created and what I've shared so far click on the little tag on the left side of my blog labeled Year of Gifts or visit HERE or visit my pinterest board  Rubber Redneck Year Gifts to see them all in one spot.

The popcorn bowl came from Target's dollar spot. I walked in and there they were exactly 5 on the shelf left. WOW and too funny, they were $5 a piece but we both thought they were cool and wanted to included them. They were heavy and nice well worth the $5. I found read clear jars from the dollar spot at target and filled them with popcorn seeds. We also add microwave popcorn and some butter sprinkle stuff. I decorated the microwave popcorn with a bell band.

IMG_0066

Here is a top view to see inside the bowl better.

IMG_4538

Using the Ready to Pop Stamp Set I stamped the images then die cut them out using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Popcorn Box Thinlits and Layering Ovals Framelits. Is this not stinkin cute? I then created the popcorn box out of Whisper White card stock again using the Big Shot Die cut Machine and the Popcorn Box Thinlit. I cut strips of Real Red card stock to make it look like the old time popcorn container. I had some left over red straws from the christmas gifts so I added them to the gift to. Overall the gift cost us around $15 per family not to bad if you would like to make this as a gift idea down the road.

Here is one that Stampin' Up! made using the Popcorn Box Thinlit.

141473O2

See so versatile would work for anything! They used the You've Got This Stamp Set which is another retiring stamp set this year too.

Have questions or comments please feel free to email me or leave a comment on my blog. I love hearing from my readers!

Family Gifts: Valentines Day Dragon Fly Dreams

I know Valentine's Day is over but great idea for you to do next year! Get a jump start! This is another gift we created for our family members and is part of the "Year Gift" we made. If you would like to see more info about this awesome project we created and what I've shared so far click on the little tag on the left side of my blog labeled Year of Gifts or visit my Pinterest Board HERE. Follow me on Pinterest so you don't miss out on anything!

Valentine Gifts

I need something that didn't include candy (some family member's don't eat candy), would work for everyone and all ages (to make it easier on me). I had seen on pinterest ages ago paper firecrackers that someone had made, inside where rolos so I thought that idea would be perfect for all the males but instead of rolos I did a roll of pennies! The chapstick holder idea I saw something similar on a blog years ago somewhere and had saved it to my idea folder. Which Stampin' Up! obliged me by coming out with a bumble bee and thinlit. I swear they were reading my mind when I was planning out the year gifts! lol Then we printed out the fact sheet for Valentine's Day.

IMG_0158

The kids loved them! It's a very inexpensive gift too! I had a little under a $1 into this gift.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • You will need a roll of pennies.  Cut a piece of Real Red card stock big enough to fit around a roll of pennies and to over lap the end.
  • Punch out a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper with the 3/4" Circle Punch.
  • Cut a piece of Black Pipe Cleaner and wrap around a pen or pencil to curl it.
  • Punch a hole through the Gold Glimmer Circle and run the piece of Black Pipe Cleaner through it. Then attach to the roll of pennies with a Glue Dot.

Supplies:
Paper: Gold Glimmer, Real Red
Acc.: 3/4" Circle Punch, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat
Misc: roll of pennies, black pipe cleaner

My next project used the following items.

Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set

This is the Dragonfly Dreams Photopolymer Stamp Set item #142924. This came out last year and when I saw this I was soo excited as I love Dragonfly's! It is a gorgeous set!!

Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits

What makes this set even more awesome the matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits item #142749!! I LOVE these!!

IMG_0155

We have lots of chap-stick lovers in our family so I thought this idea would be perfect! I thought the Burt's Bee Chap-Stick was perfect for this little gift! lol

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock the exact width of the length of the chap-stick you purchase.
  • Take the bumblee bee image from Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set; ink it in Daffodil Delight and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock.
  • Zip a piece of Basic Black card stock through the Big Shot with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits die cutting it out. Tip use the Big Shot Die Brush to remove all the little pieces. Then glue over the stamped bumble bee. So cute!
  • Take the stamp from Tin of Cards Stamp Set (retired) ink it in Tuxedo Black and stamp below the bumble bee.
  • Ink the stamp from Sealed With Love Stamp Set (retired) in Real Red and stamp below the greeting.
  • Cut a piece of Real Red card stock a little bit bigger than the Whisper White card stock.
  • Glue the Whisper White and Real Red card stock together.
  • Punch 4 holes using the 1/8 handheld Circle Punch through the layers.
  • Attach the chap-stick to the tag with Solid Whisper White Baker's Twine.
  • To finish add a heart to the bumble bee from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Supplies Used
Stamps: Dragonfly Dreams, Sealed With Love, Tin of Cards
Ink: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Acc.: Big Shot, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, Solid Whisper White Baker's Twine, Metallic Enamel Shapes, 1/8 Handheld Circle Punch, Big Shot Die Brush

Sealed With Love Bundle

I had some fun Valentine Treat Bags that I got from Target's Dollar Spot. Everything was packaged into the bag and then I created a tag for the outside using the Sealed With Love Bundle that has since retired. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamped the greeting in Old Olive and the hearts in Calypso Coral. I die cut out a piece of Real Red card stock using the Big Shot. I attached to the bag with a piece of sending love ribbons (retired).

Family Gifts: Super Bowl Sunday + Prize Winners

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! This year the Super Bowl is in our state and sadly I am not going to be at it nor our Vikings Team :( But I have an awesome Super Bowl Party Gift idea for you all! This is another gift we created for our family members and is part of the "Year Gift" we made. If you would like to see more info about this awesome project we created and what I've shared so far click on the little tag on the left side of my blog labeled Year of Gifts or visit my Pinterest Board HERE.

Super Bowl

This package contained so many fun things and was a blast to make!

  1. I found a Football Bingo Game On-line. I laminated it so Erasable Markers could be used over and over on it, so it could be used year after year. Here is the Bingo Game I found: Download Football-bingo-1-8
  2. When researching about the Super Bowl I found a Trivia Fact sheet that I thought was really interesting and thought the die hard sports fans in our family would like it. This is the website I found them on HERE. You can't print them so you will have to save as an image to your computer and then  print them out. The answers are right below each card.
  3. I picked up craft wood sticks at walmart and using my silhouette cut out the football shapes out of card stock and attached to the sticks. I did them in the Viking Colors.
  4. The cups we found at the Party Store they have a section with football theme items. We put the markers, little footballs, and little decorative sticks into the cups.
  5. I made a little football box that would hold juice boxes for the kids. I will have a video on how to make the box soon on my blog.

Here are some close ups.

IMG_0183

The ribbon on the sticks is actually ribbon from my grandma's stash she was big into crafts so it had some nostalgia to it giving it to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

IMG_0178

The little football box. I used White Washi Tape on it.

IMG_0187

To package the gift I recycled brown bags and used some white washi tape to decorate like a football too. lol

The second gift I have to share was for Groundhogs Day we kept this one pretty simple.

IMG_0151

Do you remember this image I shared long ago for our daily journal project? I love this cute image so much I printed it off onto card stock and turned it into a card for groundhog day! Then we printed out the history about groundhogs day. Hubby and I both learned some things we did not know.

Day #11 Gingerbread Man Day

Love that cute little gingerbread guy in the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set!

Rubberredneckcookiecutterchristmas

These were all the goodies I created for the day 11 Gift. Of course I made every families a little different some how! lol I also by complete chance found gingerbread shaped cookie cutter. Some of the items can still be purchased and I have them listed below. This gift uses the Candy Cane Lane Suite from the 2016 Holiday Catalog that has since retired.

IMG_9693

I purchased those large wooden clothespins and modgepodged the Candy Cane Lane DSP from the Holiday 2016 Catalog onto it.  I added the gingerbread man from Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set onto the front. Then found a recipe on line for gingerbread cookies. We have people in our family that are also gluten free so I had to also find a recipe that was gluten free. My helper however typed up the directions wrong and I didn't catch it. Whoops lol I added the cookie recipe we found.

Download Gingerbread cookies recipe

IMG_9659

Little packet of coloring puzzles. I happen to find the puzzles at Hobby Lobby during my wanderings. lol I decorated a Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags. I decorated the bag with the Cookie Cutter Christmas and Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Sets.

IMG_9681

I wanted to put gingerbread cookies (my favorite) in the gift but of course I couldn't find any that would keep for a year. lol So I found this idea on pinterest. Thought it was super cute! I just copied the saying I found on line. Printed it off onto Whisper White card stock and decorated.

Day 12 Christmas Jars

Man I don't know about you all but I love getting gifts like this! Jars are so fun to fill with goodies!

Rubber Redneck Tin Tags

I filled a quart jar full of goodies! Everyone's jars were filled with different items. We did Holiday socks, candy, chap stick, $1 mittens, christmas stickers, change, travel games, and etc. I also filled them with fun christmas filler I found at Hobby Lobby. I had a blast creating these! If you want to create something like this at target and walmart they have a party isle and will have christmas theme things for little gifts for kids or hit the $1 Spot at Target. lol The front of the jar is the countdown card. I used the 25 Days retired stamp set.

On the left is the tag I created to go outside of the gift. I punched out a piece of Cucumber Crush card stock with the Banner Triple Punch. I used the 25 Days, Tin of Tags, and Project Life Date It Retired Stamp Sets.

Day 13 Jingle Bell Toss

Rubber Redneck Jingle Bell Toss

While researching ideas I stumbled upon this fun idea of using bells and miniature cups to create a game! I thought it was a must do because our family actually has a game with these cups only you use quarters and cards so when I saw this it was happening! lol However I didn't realize how hard it would be to find little miniature red cups. We went to so many stores trying to hunt them down. It was pretty funny. The bottom pictures are the Day 13 card and gift tag. They used the retired stamp sets 25 Days and Stitched with Cheer.

Tree Game

The base is created out of a canvas board and 2 miniature red cups on one end to prop it up. We hot glued them on.
On the top side you lay out the cups to look like an upside down tree. Hot glue those too.
Find a decorative christmas bag and fill with christmas bells. We had enough cups left over that hubby and I made one for us to. We had a blast playing it!

Then I typed up the directions on how to play.

Jingle Bell Toss
2 Players

Directions:

  1. Each player gets 6 bells of a single color.
  2. Stand a few feet away from the board. Toss 1 bell at a time and try to get it into the cups.
  3. Bells that land in the top row of the cups are worth 2 points each.
  4. Bells that land in the middle row and bottom row are worth 1 point each.
  5. After you have thrown all six bells in your color then it is your opponent’s turn to toss their bells. Any bell that lands in a cup that already has an opponent’s bell in it cancels out the points for both bells. Once both players have thrown all of their bells the round is complete and points can be totaled.
  6. Continue to keep playing rounds until someone’s score totals 21 at the end of a round then that person wins.

Supplies Used
Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas, Number of Years, 25 Days, Candy Cane Christmas, Tin of Tags, Project Life Date It, Stitched with Cheer
Ink: Real Red, Cucumber Crush, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Real Red Glimmer, Candy Cane Lane DSP, Brights DSP, Wrapped in Warmth DSP, Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cucumber Crush
Acc.: Big Shot, Layering Squares Framelits, Tags & Labels Framelits, Merry Tags Framelits, Cookie Cutter Punch, Banner Triple Punch, 1/8 Handheld Punch, Brights Enamel Shapes, Rhinestones, Mini Jingle Bells, Dazzling Details Silver, Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape, Baker's Twine Trio, Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine, 1/8 Melon Mambo Stitched Ribbon

Family Gifts: Christmas Countdown Day 3 + Day 4

Hey Peeps,

Back with my last blog post for the day ;) Another batch of Family Gifts for their Christmas countdown. I am pinning everything to my Family 25 Days Christmas Countdown Board on pinterest too.

Day 3

It's important to write those letters to Santa so how about these AWESOME Santa Letter Board!! I made a couple of different ones so they weren't all the same. lol

Santa's Letter Board 3

The directions below are for this one but all the paper is the same measurement for all of them. Some of the product you can still purchase but some has retired. We picked up the frames at a craft store and then painted the frames. They took 2 coats.

To Create this you will need the following supplies:

  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Big Frame Board (I got this at a craft store)
  • Delta Red Paint
  • Foam Brush
  • Stampin' Up! Supplies

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Cut 1 Sheet of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" for the background. I modgepodged this to the board.

Create a pocket:

  • Cut 1 piece of Basic Black card stock 1" x 11 3/4" score at 1/2", fold on the scored line and attach the bottom of the board inside.
  • Cut 2 pieces of Basic Black card stock 1" x 4" and score at 1/2" on each side. Glue each piece to the the sides of the board towards the bottom inside.
  • Cut 1 piece of the Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper in a different patter 5" x 11 3/4". Glue the dsp to the basic black card stock that is facing up forming a pocket.

Decorate:

  • Cut a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper 1" x 11 3/4". Slide so it goes into the pocket and glue to the board. This helps break up the patterns of the paper.
  • Die cut out the Gold Foil Sheet using the Big Shot and Santa's Sleigh Thinlits.
  • Stamp the deer in Tuxed Black Memento Ink onto Kraft card stock. Zip through the Big Shot with the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits. Color the reindeer hooves in using the Basic Black Marker.
  • Stamp the trees in Emerald Envy onto Emerald Envy card stock. Zip through the Big Shot with the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits. Add Dazzling Diamonds to the tree.
  • Assemble your scene and attach with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the Baker's Twine Trio Pack to make reins.
  • Hot glue the Kraft Rope around the edges on the inside and hot glue a reindeer to the top right corner.

Santa's Letter Board 1

Santa's Letter Board 2

Awesome right? These were a blast to make but they do take about 2 days because of the painting. The Santa Letter slides right into the pocket. The Santa Letter I found on Pinterest and posted the PDF here for you all if you would like to print your own.

The cards for my side of the family we put on them Redneck Made Elves Inc. My family is always making fun of me and calling me a redneck and hubby said he felt like a elf so we decided to be silly one night while making gifts. This is what happens when you go on little sleep and inhale fumes. lol

IMG_9435

I of course couldn't just keep them the same. lol

IMG_9442
IMG_9442

The gift tags to go on the packages. I made these using the Big Shot and Merry Tag Framelits. These were fun to make.

That was it for day 3 gift! I really loved them and hope everyone did to.

Day 4

Was games for each family we found some cute games at Target and of course I forgot to take a picture of that too so all I have to show is the cards and tags we made.

IMG_9432
IMG_9432

Cards were made from Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. I stamped the number in real red. I took the stamp from Oh, What Fun inked in Versa Mark and poured Silver Embossing Powder over it and heat set it.
