RR Christmas Countdown: Festive Foliage Card

Welcome to my next Christmas Countdown Project!

Today's share as promised is my card from The Stamp Review Festive Foliage Blog Hop. If you missed the blog hop click the link to go through the hop, there are lots of great ideas for this beautiful background stamp from the crew. I paired the Festive Foliage Background Stamp item #155634 with the Christmas To Remember Stamp Set item #156300 from the  Stampin' Up! July - December 2021 Mini Catalog.

Create gorgeous card backgrounds using the Festive Foliage Stamp Set. The open line art of the stamps is perfect for your favorite coloring techniques, such as watercoloring, color blending, and more! The set includes one greenery imagery perfect for any season or any type of cards.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:
Card Base:

• Use the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer to cut a piece of  card stock 5 1/2 x 8. Then score with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 4 1/4 and fold on scored line and press down with the Bone Folder creating a card base.
• Cut a piece of Soft Succulent 4 x 5 1/4. Zip through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to the card base.
  
• Cut a piece of Gold & Rose Gold Paper 3 3/4 x 4. Set aside for a second.
• Cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.
• Place the Festive Foliage Background Cling Stamp Set onto the Stamparatus and the Crumb Cake card stock in the center of the Stamparatus. Ink the stamp in Versamark and stamp onto the Crumb Cake card stock. Pour Stampin' Emboss Powder Copper (Metallics Group). Tap off the excess and then set with the Heat Tool. Really love how it looks embossed!
  
• Color in the image with the following Stampin' Blends; Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya and Cinnamon Cider.
• Using the Paper Snips rough the edges of the Crumb Cake card stock.Glue the Crumb Cake card stock to the Gold & Rose Gold Paper at an angle.
  
• Cut some 3/8 Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and wrap around the layers. Then cut some Linen Thread and wrap around on top of the 3/8 Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon. Adhere the layers to the card base.
  
• Ink the Remembering Christmas Stamp in Evening Evergreen and stamp onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Zip through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Seasonal Labels Dies. Adhere to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

With this card I had a bit of a hard time getting a good quality picture to show off the embossing part of it.

Inside

• Cut a piece of Soft Succulent 4 x 5 1/4. Zip through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to the card base.
• Cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 3 3/4" x 5". Adhere to the Soft Succulent card stock.
• Cut a piece of Gold & Rose Gold Paper 1/4 x 4" and adhere to the bottom of the Crumb Cake card stock.

RR Christmas Countdown: PP Gifts Galore Treat Box

Welcome to my next Christmas Countdown Project! Around here I always need treat boxes and Novembers Paper Pumpkin Kit Gifts Galore came to my rescue this month. Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the projects.

Novembers Paper Pumpkin Kit Gifts Galore is super adorable! It featured snowmen, presents and a tree. The stamp set in this kit features 9 different images you can use on the kit projects and for card making. The ink spot included in this kit featured Flirty Flamingo. The little boxes were so easy to assemble; that is a bonus in my book and these little boxes held quite a bit of the special treat we made to give out to various people. Inside the box was a fun Christmas popcorn snack we made.

I call it Christmas Crazy Popcorn. lol It is very addicting too and super simple and easy to make! Below is the recipe.

Recipe:

1/2 Cup of Popping Popcorn Kernels
1 1/3 Cup of Pretzels
1 Cup of Mini Marshmellows
1 12oz bag White Chocolate Chips
1 Cup of Mini M&Ms
Christmas Sprinkles

Directions:

Pop the popcorn in Olive Oil. Once popped remove any of the kernels that didn't pop.
2. In a bowl layer pretzels, popcorn, M&M and marshmallows. I found this works best for the next step.
3. In a microwave safe bowl melt the White Chocolate Chips. Then drizzle some over the mixture in the bowl and mix ingredients together. Do this a few times so things are coated.
4. Place was paper on a cookie sheet. Spread out the popcorn mixture onto the cookie sheet. Then drizzle the rest of the White Chocolate Chips over the popcorn.
5. Sprinkle with Christmas Sprinkles. Let it set up then break apart and place into your choice of container.

RR Christmas Countdown: Winners + Update

Welcome back to my Rubber Redneck 25 Days of Christmas! After a lot of thought and discussion with my husband due to all the unplanned events (sickness, funeral and etc.) that have happened this December; I decided for my own sanity I will not be posting all 25 Christmas projects after all. December can be a very busy time of the month so I love using any of our gift packaging items to help me out ;) The Stampin' Up! Kits are come all per-designed, ready for you to stamp and assemble. For this project I used the Love, Santa Tag Kit + purchased the bags that went with the kit. The tags in this kit are just adorable too. Inside the bag is a Hot Cocoa bomb that we made. We made up 30 Hot Cocoa Bombs this season. It was our first time making them; hubby and I had a blast too! It's the perfect project when you have a blizzard going on. I'll be sharing some other ideas using the stamp from the kit too.

Sorry I have been missing we've had a few rough day's here. Over the weekend a family member entered hospice and passed away. Yesterday my brother & sister in-law couldn't get our niece to wake up she was lethargic like. She gave us all a good scare yesterday ending up in the ER. Aj is only 18 months old so you can about imagine how bad it scared us. They think she is in the beginning stages of a cold but weren't 100% sure so they have to watch the peanut closely. Prayers would be appreciated for our little peanut. Thank you! Life just can't plan for these things.

Today a fun and cute quick card for you! I used the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper from July - December Mini Catalog to create my color combo. It also features the Holly Jolly Wishes Cling Stamp Set item #156362 from the July - December Mini Catalog on page #29.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Use the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer to cut a piece of Evening Evergreen card stock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Then score with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 4 1/4 and fold on scored line and crease with the Bone Folder creating a card base.
• Cut one Old Olive card stock 4 x 5 1/4. Adhere to the card base.
  
• Cut one Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper (lights) 3 3/4 x 5. Adhere to the Old Olive card stock.
• Cut one Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper (grid) 2 1/4 x 4 1/4. Adhere to the center of the card at an angle.
  
• Cut one Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper (stitching) 1 x 5 1/4. Adhere to the center of the card.
  
• Ink the stamp from Holly Jolly Wishes in Evening Evergreen and stamp onto a piece of Basic White card stock. Punch it out using the Everyday Label Punch.
• Cut some Baker's Twine (white), create a tangled mess and attach to the back of the punched image. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals to the center of the card.
• Finish by adding some Matte Decorative Dots to the punched card stock.

Inside:

• Cut one Old Olive card stock 4 x 5 1/4. Adhere to the inside of the card base.
• Cut one Basic White card stock 3 3/4" x 5. Ink the stamp from Holly Jolly Wishes in Evening Evergreen and stamp onto the center of the Basic White card stock. Adhere to the Old Olive card stock.
• Cut one Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper (stitching) 1 x 5 1/4. Adhere across the bottom of the Basic White card stock.

I love this background stamp so much. There are so many cool things you can do with this one too! One of my favorite things to do with this one is emboss the image, it really makes it pop out. With this card I ended up going in a completely different direction when I first started. haha I did have a hard time getting pictures we are currently in a huge blizzard here so the lighting in my house is not so great. lol

Lots of shimmer, a touch of distressing and coloring with the blends makes this card look very festive. Plus lots of green (my favorite color). Made rustic with a dash of elegance is the perfect "festive" card. ;) Stop back thursday for for a more in depth look and better pictures I hope!

RR Christmas Countdown: Advent Calendar

Welcome to the Rubber Redneck 25 Days of Christmas!

I am super excited about this event and I hope you all will be too. Starting today December 3-25, 2021 I will be sharing Christmas related projects. If a day gets missed no worries I will still post the project, we just may have some days with double posts. ;) I love the holidays especially December and I wanted to spread the magic and cheer of the season. Some projects I will be using my silhouette and various other items. These projects are things I have made for family, friends or for us that I wanted to share. Bake” up batches of cookies without the mess using the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper. The paper is shaded and textured to look like freshly baked goodies. The colors in the papers include browns for cookies and greens and reds for peppermints. Cut out the larger shaped images for cute accents, or use the plaids, stripes, and swirls for candy, backgrounds, or accent pieces.

Every December needs a advent calendar! Today's project is more about creating a fun activity for the kiddos. This year we put together a December package for our siblings families that included things to do as a family. This calendar was one of the activities for them to do. As each day progress they are to glue a pom pom over that day's number. The pom poms colors consist of yellow, red, green and brown. At day 25 they will have a filled in Christmas Tree. This was a very big hit, the kids were so excited to have their own little christmas tree. This project is great for using up things in your stash like all that chipboard that comes in the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Packs that you hoard cause you know you will need it some day! ;)

Supplies Needed:

Silhouette + Various Vinyls (Red, Green, Yellow, Gold)
Crop - A - Dile
Scissors
Christmas Countdown Calendar by Graphic House Designs
White Chipboard (this gives it more stability then card stock)
Choice of Christmas DSP for the back
Hemp Twine
Adhesive
Pom Poms
Level: 2
Time: 30 min once you get the first one figured out

• Using the Silhouette I made a box in the Silhouette Design Studio size 11 3/4" x 11 3/4". I then brought the image into it and sized it to fill the square. Once that was done I then started cutting out my vinyl.

Quick Tip: To save on vinyl I will cut things out in batches. So for example I cut the Merry + 25 out together in a line. This saves a lot of vinyl by doing that.

• Cut a piece of White Chipboard that comes in Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper Package and cut it down to 11 3/4" x 11 3/4".
  
• Cut a piece of Stampin' Up!s Christmas Designer Series Paper again I used some retired stuff from my stash (forgot to take the picture) cut it 11 3/4" x 11 3/4". Adhere it to the back of the White Chipboard.
• I then placed the vinyl pieces onto the Chipboard.
• At the top I used the retired Stampin' Up! Crop-A-Dile to punch holes. I then ran some retired Stampin' Up! Hemp through the holes. I made a loop so it can hang from a door handle.

I had a lot of fun creating this, especially knowing the nieces and nephews will have so much fun with it! Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoyed today's fun project!
