The Stamp Review Crew Hop; Botanical Blooms

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!! The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. Please note the blog doesn't officially start until Monday August 1, 2016 so some of the links may not work.

If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Nikki's BLOG where she showed you all something fabulous! We are featuring the Botanical Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set item #140757 (pg. 142) from the main Stampin'Up! catalog. It also has coordinating framelits to go with it. When I purchased it I wasn't too sure as it's not really my style but I saw soo many awesome things created with it so I took the plunge :) I found out it is a fabulous set with lots of possibilities!!

See lots of great things! I kinda got started and couldn't stop the ideas.

First up how about a 1 layer card? I get a lot of requests for 1 layer cards; (which I think I am terrible at because I LOVE layers. lol) It focuses on using the stamp set only. The colors are bright and cheerful! I did pair it with the  Perfectly Wrapped Stamp Set and used the masking technique on it.

Next up layers baby layers!! :) This card also shows off those fun Botanical Builder Framelits! I wasn't too sure about this card because of the "PINK" lol but I got a wow from hubby so I guess I did good? The colors are so fun and scream summer to me. Even though I personal am not a fan of pink I LOVE that our products coordinate!! Lots of different patterns going on with it too. I paired it with the Crazy About You Stamp Set it needed a greeting on it.

Last but least a Christmas Card! When I was creating this card and everything was laying on my counter all the sudden it made me think of poinsettias and Christmas :) This set works great for creating pattern paper look in the background! Again I did the masking technique on this too. The greeting is from Oh, What Fun Stamp Set.

• Add 2 different patterns of the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack.
• Wrap some Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine around the layers.

Today I have the 2 cards I made for the Stamp Review Crew Hop awhile ago using the Endless Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set item #138796 (pg. 42) from the Main Stampin'Up! catalog. This is a great set with lots of possibilities. I've used this set many times here on my blog. Here is a look at the set if you don't have it.

Such a fabulous set to use for many things! What I like the most is it focuses on friendship and being thankful! Another great use for this set is create cards for those that are in service just to say thanks. I feel that so many people that take care of the public are not thanked enough for what they do day in and day out. For example teachers, nurses, doctors, EMTs, Police Officers and etc. In light of everything that has gone one in the world lately I am sure many of these people in these fields would love to get a hand made card just saying thanks.

This is a great little quick card and so simple to make a bunch to have on hand!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Cut a piece of card stock 5" x 6". Score at 3" to get a fun size little note card.
• Stamp the images from Endless Thanks Stamp Set in the following colors Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Thick card stock.
• Stamp the flowers from Endless Thanks Stamp Set in Watermelon Wonder, Sweet Sugarplum and Old Olive onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. Cut out the flowers and attach to the card panel.
• Finish the card by adding a Delicate White Doily, Old Olive Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a piece of Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape.

Last year I used this set for Christmas for my customers and they loved that I used this set for Christmas so I thought I would share another idea using it. • Cut a piece of the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper. Wrap around a ghirardelli chocolate. Make sure to not make it too tight so the recipient can slide it off the chocolate.
• Place a strip of Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape across the center.
• Tie some Solid Basic Black Baker's Twine around the chocolate.
• Create a banner using the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set + Duet Banner Punch Bundle.
• Add a pretty little butterfly to finish it.

Perfect for bright and cheerful card and I love the saying on this card. This card features the matching die, embossing and layers; creating a gorgeous card is so easy to do with this bundle! She will either call to see what she can do for us (even though she lives several states away), send care packages with encouraging notes or simply just listen. She thinks this is a small thing to do for us but they mean so much to my husband and I; so I made this for her as a thank you.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

• Zip the Garden Green card stock through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.
• Add some This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.
• Stamp the images from Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.
• Sponge Garden Green Ink over the tree stems. Add some Wink of Stella Gold to the tree branches to add flecks of gold.
• Finish with some 5/8 Burlap Ribbon, Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim, and Metallic Enamel Shapes

• Ink the stamp from Swirly Bird Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum and stamp onto the Sweet Sugarplum card stock on the right side.
• Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. Take the stamp from Swirly Bird Stamp Set; ink it in the following colors Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim. Stamp each color onto the Whisper White card stock randomly remember to clean your stamp between each color when stamping.
• Die cut out a piece of Dapper Denim card stock using the Big Shot and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.
• Create a banner using the Banner Triple Punch.

• Add some Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper to the right side of your card base.
• Take the stamp from Layering Love Stamp Set; ink it in Early Espresso Ink and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock. Pour Clear Embossing Powder over the image; tap off the excess embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
• Tie some Linen Thread and Gold Metallic Thread around the top of the Whisper White card stock.
• To finish add some Metallic Sequins randomly all over and add 1 Metallic Enamel Shape below the greeting.

Here is a close up of the card. I don't know if you can tell the greeting was embossed and I added some of those fun clear Metallic Sequins to the card too!

If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Wendy's BLOG where she showed you all something fabulous! We are featuring the Endless Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set item #138796 (pg. 42) from the Main Stampin'Up! catalog. This is a great set with lots of possibilities. I've used this set many times here on my blog. I've created two projects for this hop. First up a fun and simple note card.

I had a piece of Whisper White card stock laying on the counter that measured 5" x 6". I scored it at 3" to create a different mini and fun sized card. Last week it rained, rained and rained so I wanted some bright and cheerful colors. :) I used Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive. I stamped some of the images right onto Whisper White card stock. Some of the flowers I cut out and popped up to make them stand out more. This is a pretty simple and quick card and perfect if you want to create a bunch!

Next up how about a Christmas card? I know I too don't want to wish summer away here :) Last year I used this set for Christmas for my customers and they loved that I used this set for Christmas so I thought I would share another idea using it. This set works really well on it's own but it also works great with other stamps! I paired it with one of the sayings from Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set too. Now I myself woulda never paired these colors together but they are on trend for some of the Christmas stuff this year. Lots of layers and patterns on this baby!
