December Daily 2015 Part 3: Days 6-11
Thank you all for your emails, texts and leaving comments here. We really appreciate the good thoughts and prayers!! For us it was pretty scary to get the news. My grandma had a very bad stroke many years ago that did cripple her; so we know first hand how bad that can really be. My FIL is about the same right now he's in a lot of pain and still doing tests.
I am feeling better this am; looks like I am on the upswing of this crud. Probably be a few days yet before I am back up to full speed.
Later today I will be back with another blog post for the new year. Club members I will be sending out emails later today to you all with the info and updates.

First Up Day 6:This year at last minute I decided to do a photo card (roll my eyes). I got the bright idea from pinterest the day before. When I told my husband what I wanted to do and showed him he pretty much thought once again I was off my rocker. lol You see last year we made all the family and customer Christmas cards. We thought we would be in are new house; and figured it would only be half finished, wouldn't have the time or the area to create cards. So we thought we were being very smart :) So when plans didn't go as planned he was quite relieved we didn't have to do 250 Christmas cards last min. this year! hehehe In the end he decided it would be fun and we compromised on the photo card idea....more later on that. Hehehe
So what does one do when nobody is around to take the picture? We decided to try ourselves and use the trimmer on the camera. WOW peeps that works pretty good! lol Had the camera 3 years and finally tried that out. lol Finding cloths to kinda match was a hole other story. How is it possible to own so many cloths and nothing really goes with his????
Getting him to take serious picture is like pulling teeth with this boy. He likes to goof around and over the years we've gotten quite the pictures. lol I love that about him even though at times I get annoyed at him when were trying to get a good picture. lol
The picture above turned out way better than we expected and was the one we used this year on our card. We have a set of trees in our front yard. They are our favorite tress and we will be sad when we move away to loose them. They work great for family pictures. The best memory is the laughter from trying to take our family picture. We had so much fun and made some awesome memories.
On Day 7: My mom and I where off to do Christmas shopping!!! We had a fun day and discovered Monday's are the day to go shopping; hardly any people around! lol Normal I am pretty much close to being done but this year was not the case. I don't recommend waiting this late either!! lol
I just jotted down a few details and kept it simple :) since I didn't want anyone to see what they were getting I left everything in the bags and took a picture.
December 8: was the Big Day for us!!! Dh's game that he worked hard on for 2 years went live for people to purchase!!! It was very exciting and stressful. The company that was hired for marketing dropped the ball big time. So the team that worked on the game had to do all the promoting by word. Pretty stressful and of course it's Christmas time which is already crazy busy. If you would like to see the game visit The Mean Greens Site. I am really proud of my hubby for such a big accomplishment. We noticed our pump was running constantly too.
I kept this one simple too. I added the stickers that come in the Project Life Hello December 2015 Bundle to the cards. Then added a Rhinestone to it. Picture is a shot from the game.
December 9: Was the start of bad luck! lol I woke up with a bad flare up from my Rheumatoid Arthritis. It started to attack my intestine bad. It was also the day the well pump started really acting weird. We spent the day trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally at the end of the day had to call a well company because nothing we did seemed to solve it.
Dh found a cute picture image on-line for being sick. Since I forgot to take pictures that day. lol Worked out great. I used the Oh What Fun Tag Kit and Season of Cheer Designer Series Washi Tape to decorate the cards.
Here is a look at December 10: The well people came and we had to replace our deep well pump. It rained all day. Not fun to put a pump in that but at least it wasn't -20 below!!! Later that day the aqua stat went on our wood stove.I CRUMBA! Merry Christmas to us! lol
December 11: It was depressing the money this little incident cost us; especially because we weren't done Christmas Shopping and December we have several birthdays too; off all the months! So because we always find the humor in everything we wrote a letter to Santa. lol
Kept it simple again. There is a card in the Project Life Hello December 2015 that say's Dear Santa on it. Perfect for us! lol When we saw this card; the light bulb went on at the same time and we started laughing. Laughter makes everything better!
My compromise with dh was to just create a photo card instead of putting it all on paper and etc. So this is what he created!! Pretty cool right? Because of everything that happened that week; we didn't get our photo designed until the 11th. We thought no big deal they'll come sometime the following week. Yeah RIGHT!! We also discovered how expensive these things are so dh's bright idea was to create it in Photoshop to fit a 4 x 6 Print but smaller to fit into a A2 Envelope. Genius!! We only had to pay for a 4 x 6 print which is like .10 cents verses $2.50 per card. BRILLIANT!! I honestly would have not thought of that; it was all him. lol Little did we know.......the elves lost our pictures in Michigan somewhere and dh made a small mistake. lol So can you guess what happened? More about that later in the December Daily :)
