Acorny Thank You Card

I know fall is over but I have a lot to share from the creations I made last month to this month's stuff from all the classes I did. I promised my class peeps that I would post the details on the bonus ideas and etc. Plus I made some fun stuff that could be changed out to Christmas easily. To get caught up I will have double posts for awhile. One post will be fall related and one will be Christmas related.

Today's share is a card I made for a bonus idea for my Rubber Redneck 9 Days of Fall On-line Class. The class is over but you can still purchase the class and get 9 fabulous and beautiful projects with downloadble Mini PDFs along with Video Tutorials!!! Class members get a sneak peek to some of my upcoming projects that will be posted on my blog! It uses the Bundle Acorny Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set and Acorn Builder Punch item #140841 from the holiday catalog (pg. 45). You could easily change this out for Christmas instead of using the Acorn Set you could used the Flurry Wishes Bundle item #140868 from the Holiday Catalog (pg. 25).

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

We are big deer hunters around here and normally when deer season arrives nothing else exists for 2 weeks. lol This year however was pretty different for us we were in the middle of several projects at my parents farm and had to get the projects done before winter hit. So it was Work, Work, and more work and didn't get too much hunting in or get any deer this year.

* I used the partial Project Life Pocket Page in the Variety Pack 2. The top card I created using my printer and different font's from dafont.com then decorated it with Into the Woods Designer Series Paper, Winter Wonderland Designer Washi Tape, Home for Christmas Enamel Dots and stamped the antlers from the Wonderland Stamp Set. I took a picture of all the important deer hunter items needed; gun, shells, orange clothing, compos, hand warmers, deer license and most important of all Pumpkin Seeds :) I created a custom card on the bottom by stamping the trees from Wonderland Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow then drawing lines to create a journal card.

Tip~ Use Whisper White Thick Card Stock for journal cards so you can't see the journaling and stamped images from the back.

* On the back covers another day and what we did. This year for the first time in the 10 years were we live someone was hunting next door to our home so we wanted our puppy dog to be safe during deer season but don't have a vest for him so we dressed him in a neck warmer. Haha he didn't seem to mind and took a picture for us; he actually seemed like he was proud to wear it. lol

* I created my own custom Journal pocket card. I zipped a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock through the Big Shot with the Arrow Embossing Folder. Then decorated it with the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. Deer antler pattern was perfect for hunting!

* There isn't much out there for hunting related so the light bulb went on; I created an image that looked like what it looks like in a scope. I stamped the antlers from Wonderland Stamp Set in Early Espresso onto Whisper White card stock. I zipped it through the Big Shot die cutting it out with the Circle Framelits. I then drew lines using the Smoky Slate Stampin Write Marker.

One of our major projects this year was putting in new water lines for the barn lots so we had to rip out all the fencing and posts to dig in the new water lines and put in the new automatic waters. My dad used to work for the power company before he retired. We purchase the old power poles when they take them down and use them for fence posts. They hold up better with the cattle. But it's a huge project setting them; they are 7 to 9 feet long and almost 2 feet wide and require the bobcat with an auger to dig the holes and set them. Took us 3 days to get the holes drilled and get them set. We set over 40 posts, it's a very slow moving project.

* I created another custom project life card decorated it with the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. I added some 1 1/4 Burlap Ribbon and Brights Designer Buttons. I stamped the image from Wonderland Stamp Set in Early Espresso.

* I took a picture of the puppy dog ready to go to grandpa and grandma's for the day. He loves to ride in vehicles.

* I used one of the Project Life Moments Like These Card Collection with the arrows. I stamped the image from Wonderland Stamp Set in Early Espresso. I added a piece of Into the Woods Designer Series Paper across the bottom and added a Into the Woods Embellishment.

Supplies Used~
Stamp~ Wonderland
Ink~ Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie
Paper~ Whisper White Thick Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie, Into the Woods Designer Series Paper, Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Happy Late Thanksgiving and so much more!!

IMG_4547

Happy Late Thanksgiving to you and your from us!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

We had a great holiday, lots of great food, company, laughs and etc! We hosted 3 get together s here it was a revolving door of people coming and going; between family and friends we had over 40 people through our doors!! It made for a pretty busy week preparing for all of it. Because it's been a crazy year around here I didn't get my house deep cleaned in the spring like I normally do so there was Lots and LOTS of cleaning prior to the event. I don't normally do the cooking around here but boy did I COOK last week. I am good till next thanksgiving. Haha Here are some non dull highlights from the gatherings. :)

Potatoes, Potatoes, Potatoes, and more Potatoes. It was a potato marathon around here. I put dh on Potato peeling duty he felt like he was being punished. :)

IMG_1136

We mashed soo many potatoes the Mixer BIT THE DUST. My cousin Tim was helping mash the potato's when it started to go out and we were trying to get through the batch but by the time they were mashed we had potato's all over the walls, cabinets, counter, floor and us! So much for a clean kitchen! It was pretty funny we where laughing so hard we had tears and dog was right their cleaning up the floor for us. lol So we had a silent moment before we buried it.

My one cousin's husband is a snuggler. He is always hugging and hanging on my cousin. Drives my cousin nuts when he's in her space constantly; he is a BIG KID. He came up with his new nick name this year Chief Snuggle A Lot and then wrote it on his glass so everyone knew. lol He's great and we love him!

Of course we ALWAYS have nap time around here after the big meal. Harmon was the champ and winner this year! Just some few and fun highlights form this years thanksgivings.

It did wear me out and made my stuff flare up so this week been recovering from it all and cleaning up the mess. It was worth it lots of great memories and laughs. Then on Dec. 1 we received this.

  IMG_1125

We got about 8" of heavy, wet snow at our house. Merry Christmas to us! lol So last few days we've been dealing with that mess between our house and our client's places. We can't complain too much we really haven't had any snow up till now. It sure was pretty. Been a pretty busy two weeks for us!
