Project Life Daily Journal Endless Thanks Pocket Cards

Sorry been missing last week I had a check up with my doc and was out of town and while out of town I spilled my smoothie all over my lap top :( and it fried it out. It was definitely a dork moment for me! lol I went 4 days without my computer and boy was I lost no pinterest GASP. I am spending today catching up on emails so no I haven't been ignoring anyone :) I'll have a couple posts today to share off and on this week to get caught up.

I am sharing another part of my daily project life journal. * Cut a piece of Mint Macaron card stock and zip it through the Big Shot with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder.

* Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamp the image from Bohemian Borders Stamp Set in Crushed Curry and stamp at the top of the Whisper White card stock.

Tip~ to make your journaling noticeable write on Whisper White card stock.

* Stamp the images from Endless Thanks Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry.

* Cut a piece of Tangelo Twist and Whisper White card stock. Take the stamps from Endless Thanks Stamp Set; ink them in Crushed Curry and Tangelo Twist. Stamp onto the Whisper White card stock.

* Take the stamp from Bohemian Borders Stamp Set; ink it in Tip Top Taupe and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock.

* Using the Handheld Stapler I added a staple in the top right corner and bottom left corner.

For this cute and fun  party favor I used the Build a Birthday Stamp Set item #138646 (pg. 11). This is a great birthday set but what I like the most about it; it could also be used for Wedding, Retirement and etc.

* Die cut out the Bermuda Bay card stock using the Big Shot and Circle Framelits.

* Use the Banner Punch to notch out the ends of the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper.

* Add little "wicks" to the candles using the Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine.

* Hold the Bermuda Bay card stock and cellophane bag together with the 1" Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim.

 * I dipped the Aqua Painter into some Cajun Craze Ink and spread it across the Watercolor Paper. After it dried for a little while I took the stamp from Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set; inked in Rich Razzleberry and stamped onto the damp spot of the Watercolor Paper. I did the same thing with the Tip Top Taupe and Garden Green images working my way out to the dry part of the Watercolor Paper.

* I added a piece of Into the Woods 3/8 Cotton Ribbon Rich Razzleberry (new yummy ribbon from the upcoming Holiday Catalog) and some Venetian Crochet Trim.

* A piece of Gold Cording Trim was rolled up and attached to the right side of the card. I stamped the dragonfly from Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set in Hello Honey and stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I cut it out and attached it to the right side of the card to build my collage. Then I added a Regals Designer Button and Pearl Basic Jewels to finish it.

Happy Friday!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! I am sharing another part of my daily project life journal. Today I am sharing Feb. 10. Mother nature sent us a lovely snow storm and to document that I used the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set item #137163 from the Main Catalog (pg. 89). I love this set it's so versatile!! I did create this for The Stamp Review Crew Hop and I am finally sharing it so some of the items have since retired. Idea for you to use up your stash of stuff!

I took a few pictures of outside after it stopped snowing and hubby went out and plowed... I was supposed to be shoveling :) It was really pretty outside after the storm.

Here is a close up of the cards I created. I like our pr-designed cards but I really like creating my own cards too! It's so easy to do too! We'll start with the top card first.

Tip~ The Sheltering Tree Stamp Set is perfect for soo many different times of the year that's why I think it's so versatile.

* I created a my own journal card. First I cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock for the base. Then I cut a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock. I took the stamp from Sheltering Tree Stamp Set; inked in Lost Lagoon and stamped onto the Lost Lagoon card stock creating snowflakes in the air. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the tree first in Early Espresso.

Tip~ Stamp the main image first to figure out your spacing on your journal card.

* I then stamped the the snow in Lost Lagoon but I stamped off onto a piece of scratch paper first before stamping onto the Whisper White card stock.

Tip~ Create a softer or subtle look by stamping off onto scratch paper first before stamping onto your project.

* I used a pencil and my ruler to draw in lines across the Whisper White card stock so they would be straight. I then went over it with the Smoky Slate Marker.

Tip~ When drawing journal lines start first with a pencil so mistakes can be erased.

* I added in the Date with the Project Life Day to Day Stamp Set (this is a must have stamp set for our scrapbookers out there) and the retired Rotary Remember Stamp.

* Next up are what I call the two little filler cards. I wanted the effect of what it's like when there is snow in the air. I took the stamp from Sheltering Tree Stamp Set that are the leaves but instead I used them as snowflakes. I inked in Lost Lagoon and stamped right onto the Lost Lagoon card stock. I stamped out snow using the Back to Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set in Night of Navy onto Whisper White card stock. I die cut it out using the Big Shot and Banner Framelits. Neutral, Regal Candy Dots and Rhinestones finished off the card nicely.

* I wanted to work in another tree image into my layout. I just stamped another Tree onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped everything exactly the same as I did on the journal card. I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the tree to make it sparkly like.

* For the last card I used Whisper White card stock, my word program and printer. I typed up random winter phrases and printed them out onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Each word I used a different font. I got them all from dafont.com I love this site it is awesome!! I typed in winter in the search bar on there site and went from there. I don't remember which ones I used though for this layout. lol I stamped the image from Sheltering Tree Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon. I added a piece of Flowerpot Designer Series Paper across the bottom. Then added some buttons: Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Neutrals Designer Buttons and Basic Metal Buttons.

* Add some Subtles Designer Series Paper (Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral) to the Whisper White card stock.

* Stamp the flower from Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin Stamp in Calypso Coral onto Whisper White card stock. Cut it out and pop it up off the card.

* Punch out a piece of Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (Daffodil Delight) with the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch and attach to the center of the flower.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

* Create a 3 x 3 size card out of Whisper White card stock. I love this size for little note cards to tuck in lunches, gifts, and etc.

* Ink the Dots for Days Stamp Set in Smoky Slate and stamp onto the Smoky Slate card stock.

* Take the stamp from Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set; ink it in VersaMark and then in Lost Lagoon. Stamp onto the Whisper White card stock. You'll have to clean your stamp and keep repeating this step until you have the entire piece of Whisper White card stock. Pour Clear Embossing Powder over the images, tap of the excess and heat set.

* Stamp the image from Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set; ink it in VersaMark and pour Silver Embossing Powder.Tap off the excess and heat set.

The Stamp Review Crew; Awesomely Artistic

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!!  The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. I so excited for the fun to start!! We have a great group of talented stampers for this hop!!  If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Lisa's BLOG where she made some fabulous projects!!! We are featuring the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set from the Main Catalog.

This set is another really fun set to use and has many possibilities! The Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set has some really fantastic images and it works really well for collage stamping. I love the dragon fly in it. I did some water-coloring for the background. To create the collage look I grouped my images and embellishments together. I also used some two new upcoming items from our Holiday Catalog. My colors are Cajun Craze, Garden Green,Tip Top Taupe, Hello Honey, and Rich Razzleberry.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Project Life Daily Journal Feb. 9

Morning everyone,

Yesterday I was in the middle of this post and my FIL and Step MIL just showed up at our door completely out of the blue. lol So I didn't get this finished till today :)

Happy Friday!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! I am sharing another part of my daily project life journal. I am sharing how to document those ordinary moments. Below I broke it down. My layout actually covers 2 days.  I used the Project Life Moments Like These Bundle item #140288 (pg. 51) great way to save 15%!! * I used the Project Life Moments Like These Cards to document Feb. 8. I just wrote on the card what we did for the day. Then stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock using the image from Moments Like These Stamp Set. I inked in in Mint Macaron and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

One of the questions I get is how do you document those every day moments? It's actually pretty easy really. To see the image just click on the picture and it will make it bigger for you.

Tip~ Save any of your tickets, tokens and etc. But don't save every little thing just what you want to included otherwise soon you will have boxes and boxes of clutter :)

* For example I documented us buying a power ball ticket. The power ball was huge so we decided to buy a ticket. I documented the moments of dreaming what to do with the $$$ if we won, the joking around and etc. I just cut the ticket down and slid it into the pocket. You can easily add any type of tickets into the pockets. Then add some journaling on a card. I used the Project Life Moments Like These Cards and Accessory Pack. Now you just documented an ordinary moment. See how easy it is?

* I documented are busy day of running errands after we were done with a job. I used the Endless Thanks Stamp Set to convey how we felt. I just stamped so much onto one of the Moments Like These Project Life Cards.

Tip~ Snap a picture of an item that you acquired and then just add some journaling to a card about it.

* Next up I documented the  moment when it became official that I joined the club of having to buy a pill organizer to keep track of all my different medication. It was a historic and comical moment for us because we made fun of my dad and now I had to get one too. lol Darn kids that's what they get I guess! I took a picture of the pill organizer. Then did some more journaling about it that isn't showed in the picture.

It's very easy to document a regular day in your life and the Project Life Collections really make it even easier for you!
