Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; 12 x 12 Layouts Daily Journal

Happy Friday!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! I am sharing another part of my daily project life journal. Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

I kept this layout really simple and easy.  I didn't want to cut down the save the date card to fit in the pockets so I decided to make it into a 12 x 12 layout instead.

Tip~ Create scrapbook pages using the photo cards you receive in the mail from any event or holiday. I think this would be fun for those christmas ones you get every year!

* I stamped the images from Summer Silhouettes onto the Whisper White card stock in  Tip Top Taupe ink.

Tip~ To get the mosaics even I just placed my ruler onto my Whisper White card stock and lined up the block with it and stamped.

* I stamped the images from Summer Silhouettes again only this time onto the Tip Top Taupe card stock. To add the date I used the Project Life Day to Day Stamp Set. It is a must have set for scrapbooking!

* Glue the photo card to your card stock. Then to finish off the layout I added some Neutral Candy Dots to the images.

We also got a Valentines Card in the mail from our sister in-law of our nephews. Again I didn't want to cut it up so I used the back side of the Whisper White card stock from my first layout. I kept this layout pretty simple too. It is really hard to believe how fast these kids have grown up!!!

* I used my Paper Pumpkin Filled with love stamp set along with some of the pieces I had left over from the kit.

Tip: Any left over Paper Pumpkin Kit pieces work great for scrapbooking!

* I stamped the images from the Paper Pumpkin Filled With Love Kit in Real Red and Crisp Cantaloupe.

* To step it up I added some Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Today share is card that uses the June's Paper Pumpkin Happy Thoughts Kit. It's supper cute just love those banners! I changed it up a bit and I think it turned out pretty cute!

* I cut the envelope liner down to make a decorative piece to add to the front of the card.

* I added one of the little stickers to the designer series paper and then to step it up I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sticker at the top of the card.

* Decorate the Whisper White square differently from what the kit suggests. Then place some more Rhinestone Basic Jewels randomly all over the card front.

Tin of Cards; Engagement Card

Today's share is the card I created for our one of our nieces. She got engaged this year to her wonderful boyfriend Steve! Were so excited for them. Her bridal shower was a couple of weekends ago and this was the card I made for them. I used the Tin of Cards Stamp Set (pg.110, item #138946). I just love all those sayings in this set and the images!! My colors were pulled from the save the date card she sent out to everyone.

What a great group of sayings in this set!! Pretty much covers all those important occasions or moments.

* Zip the Crumb Cake card stock through the Big Shot (pg. 170) with the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder. I added some Night of Navy card stock and a piece of 2015-2017 In Color Stack Designer Series Paper.

* I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and took the heart stamp from Tin of Cards Stamp Set (pg 110); inked in Crumb Cake and stamped all over the Whisper White card stock. A piece of 1/2 Night of Navy Seam Binding was added.

* I stamped the congrats to you from Tin of Card Stamp Set in Delightful Dijon onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I die cut it out using the Big Shot  and the Tags & Labels Framelits (pg. 173). To finish it off I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Project Life Daily Journal Feb 2 Groundhog Day

Morning all!

Looks like this didn't post yesterday I think I forgot to schedule it. lol

Today's share is another part of my Project Life Daily Journal! I have really had a lot of fun with this!! The layout is groundhog's day. I thought it would be really fun to focus on that day since for some people it's a big thing however have you really looked around and noticed it's not something that really gets scrapbooked?

I had to really search and good old Pinterest saved me! Some kind soul had made some PL card's. I took them into Photoshop and edit them to have the right year on them. Editing them is so easy too! Then I printed them out onto Whisper White card stock. Then I discovered the image went with our Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set. SCORE!!!

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

* I printed out images onto Whisper White card stock and cut them to fit the pockets; creating my own cards.

* I found a picture of a Groundhog on the internet and dragged it into Photoshop and added text to the picture.

* Create a custom card using the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set. I inked it in Early Espresso and stamped randomly all over the Early Espresso card stock.

* I added a banner in Crushed Curry using the Banner Triple Punch to create it. It's so easy to create even banners using this punch!!! AWESOME!!!

*I die cut out some Smoky Slate and Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and Circle Framelits. To tie in the images I stamped the image from Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set in Smoky Slate onto the Whisper White card stock.

My mom and I went out of town that day for a check up with my doctor and since its always such a long day for me; we usually spend the night with my brother. We watched the Pitch Perfect and our mom fell asleep on us. lol

Watercolor Wings Card and Tutorial

Sorry this was way later than I planned today. One of our jobs today took longer than what we scheduled so it put us a little behind. I am so glad it's Thursday though! lol

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

* Stamp those fun and cute little butterflies from the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set (pg. 75, #139424) onto the Tip Top Taupe card. I inked the stamp then stamped off onto scratch paper first. Then I stamped onto the Tip Top Taupe card stock. I did this with each butterfly. I have a picture below for you.

* Clean your stamp then ink it in White Stazon Ink. Stamp off onto a piece of scratch paper then stamp over your Tip Top Taupe butterfly rocking it slightly and it will outline the butterfly in white.  AWESOME SAUCE!!

 The butterfly on the left at the top I forgot to stamp off on scratch paper first so that is what it will look like if you don't do that step.

How cool is that!! I love how it just outlines the butterfly!

Here is a close up of how it looks on the card base. Very subtle but very striking at the same time too.

Here is a close up of the butterflies layered together.

* The Watercolor Wings Stamp Set is a 2 step set. I stamped the big butterfly in Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant. I stamped the smaller butterfly in So Saffron, Crushed Curry and Delightful Dijon. I found the combo on Pinterest that some demo's shared.

* I die cut out the Butterflies using the Big Shot, Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterflies Thinlits (pg. 172 in the catalog).

* I layered the butterflies on a piece of Tip Top Taupe card stock that I zipped through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. 1 1/4 White Jute, Gold Sequin Trim and Linen Thread.

The Stamp Review Crew; Watercolor Wings

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!!  The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. Please note the blog doesn't officially start until Monday July 20 so some of the links may not work.

I so excited for the fun to start!! We have a great group of talented stampers for this hop!!  If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Debra's BLOG where she made some fabulous projects!!! We are featuring the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set from the Main Catalog.

I just love this set; it is GORGEOUS!! The Watercolor Wing Stamp Set is a Two-Step Set so you can create beautiful color combinations with those butterflies! My colors for the butterflies are Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron, Crushed Curry and Delightful Dijon. I have a lot of layering going on, on this card. I had a lot of fun creating this collage beauty! Did you notice the little butterflies outlined in white? Stop back on Thursday and I will have close up pictures and a tutorial on how I did that fun little easy trick.

Here is the inside of my card. I stamped the butterflies down the side in Delightful Dijon. Stamped the other image from Watercolor Wings in Tip Top Taupe. Then added a piece of Subtles Designer Series Paper to finish it off.

* Zip the Blushing Bride card stock through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

* I added two different patterns of the English Garden Designer Series Paper.

* I stamped the images from Garden In Bloom. Using a Stampin Sponge I sponged some Hello Honey ink over the image.

* Pearls, White Perfect Accents and Linen Thread add the finishing touches to the card.

Project Life Daily Journal; Feb 1 Superbowl

Morning,

I was going to post this yesterday since Friday was the Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop but the weekend didn't go as planned here. lol Today's share is another part of my Project Life Daily Journal. I am sharing the Superbowl weekend for us. This was a pretty big layout. I broke down to 1 & 2 Quarter, Half Time and 3rd & 4 Quarter. We love football a lot!!! We hope some day to actually get to the Superbowl it's one of the things on our bucket list.

1st & 2nd Quarter

 My pictures are a little dark since it was Winter and at night here. I did add our critters pictures in since they decided to join the party. lol 1st & 2nd Quarter just flew by!

* I used the Project Life This is the Life Card Collection the colors were perfect for the team colors. lol

* I created a football player using My Digital Studio Software and Photoshop so easy to create custom cards! My bottom card I printed out a football field image and added in the team's helmets in there team colors. Then decorated the cards using the Project Life This is the Life Accessory Pack.

Half Time

The Half Time show looked amazing!!! The ironic part for me was I love Katey Perry and I watch the news all the time and didn't know she was doing the half time show. lol 

* I stamped the stamps from  Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set on the Project Life This is Life Card Collection and Whisper White card stock.

* I used Gold Sequins, Gold Metallic Thread and Fancy Foil Designer Vellum Gold to go with the Gold in the pictures from the half time show.

* I used Photoshop and My Digital Studio Downloads to create my journal card in the center then I just added the lyrics from the song that is my favorite!

3rd and 4th Quarter

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

The 3rd and 4th Quarter was awesome. Our favorite commercial was the Liam Neeson one. Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors and the clash of clans game is my brother's favorite game. So it was pretty funny for us and him. My brother and friends are always talking about who's fort they have raided; so when we saw this I had to text my brother and ask him about it and I wanted to know if we should be worried and did I need to move. lol

* On the journal card I zipped some Night of Navy card stock through the Big Shot with the Arrows Embossing Folder. 

* I created some of my own cards again using the My Digital Studio and Photoshop. Then I just decorated them with Project Life This is Life Accessory Pack. I added some Candy Dots from the Regals and Neutrals Collection.

Her projects are beautiful and fun!!! If your just starting here just follow the links around. I am stop #7 on the blog hop and I am featuring the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set!! I love this stamp set it is so pretty! I know it and I are going to make awesome things together. lol

My project is a card using the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set. I used some of the yummy English Garden Designer Series Paper. I got my color combo from the English Garden Designer Series Paper. As many of you know I REALLY dislike pink but I have a small confession I am really digging the Blushing Bride, Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey color combo!! BUT (this is directed to the family) DON'T run out and buy me anything pink!!! :) lol I like that this stamp set is a 2 step stamp set it's so easy to line up too! There was a lot involved with this card; cutting, sponging, adding embellishments, embossing with the Big Shot and etc. But all the sweat, tears, tantrums and blood that went into it I think it's a keeper :)  Next week I will share all the details on this card so be sure to stop back. Hmmm it could be a color challenge perhaps.
