The Stamp Review Crew; Dotty Angles

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!!  The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. I so excited for the fun to start!! We have a great group of talented stampers for this hop!! If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Heidi Bak's blog RunningwScissorsStamper where she made some fabulous projects!!! We are featuring the Dotty Angles Stamp Set from the Main Catalog.

This is an a really fun set and makes awesome backgrounds! It works great for New Years, Christmas, Birthday and etc. I can't wait till you see what everyone has done with this set :)

My first project I have for you is a birthday card I created using the Dotty Angles Stamp Set. I did pair it with the Project Life Remember This Stamp Set. I used some of the yummy Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper that will be available on June 2. This is also a sneak peek to my sketch challenge this week too.

Next up of course another Project Life Layout for my Daily Journal :) This layout I covered a hole week because all we did was work. lol We had a pretty busy week as I was getting ready to leave for my check up with my doctor at the Mayo in Rochester, MN. The Dotty Angles Stamp Set is perfect to create little borders on the Everyday Adventure Project Life Cards. I just stamped right onto the cards. Every time I leave for a check up with my doctor dh always makes us a big meal....I am not sure if he thinks it's gonna be my last meal or what. Maybe he doesn't want to the doctor to think he is under feeding me. lol This time he cooked up T-bones that we had just got from a steer my dad had butchered and it was HUGE. When I saw it on my plate I just started cracking up; there really wasn't room for anything else but I did eat it all :) and I was Thanksgiving miserable. lol

My last project is another part of my Project Life Daily Journal. I am really into history so I decided to end the month with headlines in the news that will probably talked about years to come. I thought it would be something fun and interesting to do. I used the Dotty Angles Stamp Set just stamp down the side of the Bermuda Bay card stock.

Stampin' Addicts New In Color Blog Hop

1st Project~

Is a very simple and easy card to recreate. I used a new stamp set called You've Got This. I think this stamp set really show cases the Delightful Dijon Color. I used some of the new yummy 1" Dotted Lace Trim.

2nd Project~

I created a mini envelope with the new Envelope Paper it is available in the new In Colors. AWESOME SAUCE!! I also created a small little note card to put inside. I stamped on a Project Life Journal Card. Very fast, simply and fun idea! Great to send a little note to a friend or slip it inside your spouse's or children's lunch box.

3rd Project~

Yesterday I shared a fun project I created for me to help inspire my creativity. I have a section in my Journal that is for my favorite products. So of course the new Delightful Dijon color had to go in there. :)

Here is the cover of my Inspiration Journal. I love the saying from Hello Life Stamp Set and thought it would be perfect for the cover. Every time I see the cover I just smile. I love the Park Lane Designer Series Paper and I am so sad to see it go.

On the inside I decorated it using the Choose Happiness Stamp Set. I just added a few words to help inspire me.

The first page I decided to decorate it with my husbands picture. I thought it would be perfect because he's always supporting my choices (well most of them :) hehe).

I divided my journal out in four parts and decorated each divided part. The first part is labeled Inspire. I used the Define Your Life Stamp Set. This section I will put samples of products, ideas and etc things that will help inspire my creativity.

The second divider is labeled Create. This section I will put things I would like to create.

The third section I labeled Dream. This section I thought I would put some unique ideas.

The fourth section I labeled Favorites. I decorated it using the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set. This section I will put samples of my favorite things that will help inspire my creativity.

I'll be sharing this off and on here and there as I finish creating it. Hope this idea inspires you to create one of your own.

* Create your own journal card out of card stock.

* I stamped the image from Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon ink onto the Lost Lagoon card stock and Whisper White card stock.  I decorated it using the Big Shot and Hexagon Hive Thinlit and the Scallop Edge Border Punch.

* The Project Life 4" x 3" Grid Cards are perfect for fast decorating. Simply decorate them how you would like, added your journaling and slide them into the pocket. I stamped the image from Project Life Remember This Photopolymer Stamp Set.  Love them!!

Here is a close up of one of the custom cards I created. You'll notice I kept it pretty simple. I created mine out of card stock, stamped on the card stock using the Make Note Rotary Stamp and added some journaling.  This layout was from the day I created my Blog Journal which you can view the Journal HERE.

* Punch both ends of the Tempting Turquoise card stock using the Hearts Border Punch.

* Attach the fun size M & M to the inside of the holder using a Glue Dot.

* Stamp the image from Four Feathers Stamp Set; ink it in Old Olive and stamp randomly all over the Old Olive card stock.

* Die cut out a piece of Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and Circle Framelits. Zip the Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot with the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder.

* Stamp the feathers from Four Feathers Stamp Set onto Whisper White card stock; die cut them out using the Feathers Framelits.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

* Stamp the feather's from Four Feathers Stamp Set randomly all over the Whisper White card stock in the following colors; Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey.

* Die cut out a piece of Crushed Curry card stock using the Big Shot and zip it through the Big Shot with the Arrows Embossing Folder.

* Cut another piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamp the images from Four Feathers Stamp Set onto the Whisper White card stock. Stamp the "Thank You" from Four You Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss over the feather images.

* Use the Spiral Border Punch to punch the top of the Whisper White card stock.

I love these colors together so much!! I used Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey and Bermuda Bay. I used the Four Feather's  Stamp Set to create decorative background paper. I paired it with the Four You Stamp Set that is retiring wawawawawa.

In fact they kept chirping at me and begging me to use them :) I used the Four Feather's Stamp Set along with the Feather's Framelits.  I paired it with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and the new Bohemian Borders Stamp Set. The funny part I really didn't want to get that set; but my husband said I should get it cause he knew I would use it. I thought he was on the funny farm planet.....boy was he right; use it I have. ROFL The man was right but shhh we'll keep that a secret. I really wanted the feather's to stand out so I embossed some of them with Gold Embossing Powder. I used lots of AWESOME new goodies! New In Colors are awesome!!
