Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Daily Project Life Jounal Work Week

Hey stampers!

Where have I been well you probably guessed yes I have not been feeling well at all. Every time I make a trip down to the Mayo I come home sick <roll my eyes> people just can't seem to keep their germs to their selves. lol Today I finally felt good enough to do a blog post but before I could do that I had to clean the pigsty of house!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! I am sharing another part of my project life journal. This project has been so much fun for us my husband has been really getting into it but one thing I have found it's very easy to fall behind. lol which is ok it's not the end of the world and because I like things to be organized I decided I needed a way to organize this project better to suit me. So I of course created another planner. lol I must first warn you it is NOT all Stampin' Up! GASP yeah, yeah, I know but this gal loves a lot of different products. Our products actually go really well with a lot of stuff on the market and since this was for me personally I decided to use some of my stuff from my stash (which by the way is one of my goals this year to use more of the stuff I have already).  Here is the front cover. I cut two pieces of chipboard down to 8 1/2" x 11". Decorated the cover with various designer paper that I had. I love vintage things so I thought this one I would make looking vintage. I used the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set from our Occasions Catalog to help decorate the front. I also used some various retired products too from Stampin' Up!.

On the inside I just decorated the chipboard cover with various DSP and washi tape. I ripped apart a sketch book I had so I cut the pocket that was in it down to fit and just decorated again with Washi Tapes and DSP.

My husband created a page broken down to the week days where I can record what happened that day and then also made me a box to record anything I might have to use in the layout; like pictures, any tokens, receipts and etc. On the back is a big square and at the top it just say's notes.

Then he created another page so I can draw out what page protectors I will use for each layout since there are so many various ones. Then he created an area for me to write down any products I want to use for specific things. So far that has been a HUGE great help especially if I don't have time to go do the layout I can just jot down anything that pops into my head.

I had some questions on how to do a week where you might now have anything really happen so as shown above here is what I did. I cut card stock to go behind each index card to fill the pockets. I decorated them either by stamping or running the card stock through the Big Shot with the Arrows Embossing Folder. I used some of our retired clips which I will be so sad when they are gone. lol I used some of the cards from Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection. The I used some of my Thicker's on the layout. Since it's January here I wanted my work week look more colorful then blah. lol

We all featured the Celebrate Today Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalog. I loved the color combo so much I wanted to use it for this weeks color round up! I am posting a day later than planned too. I've been out of town for a doctor appointment we got a bad storm while I was away from home so yesterday I wanted to get up and get on the road right away to come home since I knew it would take longer I was glad I did too. Wow the roads were bad.

Rubber Redneck Quick Tips:

*I cut a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock. I took the stamp from Celebrate Today; inked it in Coastal Cabana and stamped onto the Coastal Cabana card stock.

* Die cut out the Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and File Tab Framelits to create a tab. Stamp the image from Celebrate Today in Crushed Curry and stamp onto the little tab area.

* Die cut out the balloons using the Big Shot and Balloon Framelits and pop them up off the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

* Pull the Thick Baker's Twine apart and added it in between the balloons to finis it off.

The Stamp Review Crew; Celebrate Today

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! I so excited for the fun to start!! We have a great group of talented stampers for this hop!!  If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Tanya's blog Tinkerin In Ink with Tanya where she made some fabulous projects!!! We are featuring the Celebrate Today Stamp Set from the Occasion Catalog.

I love this set from the Occasions Catalog it's a lot of fun to use and has lot's of possibilities. When I first saw it in the Occasions Catalog I knew it was one I had to get. It covers a variety occasions too. One thing I REALLY like about it; is it has a matching framelit set too. SCORE

Here is my card I created using the Celebrate Today Stamp Set and Balloon Framelits. My colors are Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Basic Black I actually got the color combo from the Occasions Catalog. I just love this color combination! I added a touch of Silver Glimmer Paper to make it more festive. I added some of the Stacked with Love Designer Washi Tape. Love that stuff!

I thought this card was perfect the way it was so I kept the inside blank. I hope you liked my card!! I had a lot of fun creating it!
