2 Simple Cards Perfect Pennants and Hooray It's Your Day

Morning everyone,

I had planned on posting these yesterday but we've had a rough 3 days here. My husband's father has had some serious medical problems due to his medications he is on; to sum it up he came close to dying. He is doing a little better thank goodness but will be in the hospital for at least 3 more days with follow up tests and to monitor him. Were both pretty exhausted and would like to hibernate for a month! lol

I'll have my scrapbook saddle up to share later today with you all. My dumb pictures didn't turn out. So once I have good light I will get new pictures :) So be sure to stop back later today. I get asked a lot about one layer cards. I really struggle making them because for me MORE is better. lol But I managed to create 2 different one's to share with you all. I hope this helps some of you that have been asking about them.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots: Card 1

* I found creating a card base out of Very Vanilla or Whisper White is easier for me to do a one layer card.

* Stamp the images from Hooray It's Your Day Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Curry.

* Stamp the birthday image from Four You Stamp Set in Old Olive Ink.

* Add some embellishments to it to finish it off.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots Card 2:

* I stamped the images from Perfect Pennants Stamp Set in Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Memento Pad Tuxedo Black.

* I added a little bit of pattern to the Whisper White card stock using our Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

* Pull some sequins off the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim to dress the card up.

Here is all the awesome goodies that came in this kit. Enough stuff to make a total of 8 little boxes. When I opened up this month's kit I kinda thought hmmmmmm. Not sure I like this. Once I took everything out I started having all kinds of ideas pop into my head with this kit and once I started assembling everything. OMG I have fallen in love with it! lol The funny part about this is that is how I felt about the Work of Art Stamp Set and several other sets. lol So I guess I learned a lesson give it a chance first! Check out Pinterest too there is a ton of awesome ideas using this kit already. 

I can't seem to follow directions lately quite right. lol So mine is a little different from how it was supposed to be made. This is the pull out part.

Then the pull out slides right into the little box. Box is supper easy to assemble.

Then it is tide closed with some Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine. Super cute! I think.

Then I made a card using the stamp set that came in the kit. So love this little stamp I will be using this a lot!

* To create this I just used some scraps of Pool Party and Daffodil Delight card stock.

* Stamp the images from the February My Paper Pumpkin Kit.

* Use the Big Shot and Circle Framelits to die cut out a piece of Whisper White card stock.

Four You Simple Thank You Card

Morning,

Today I a have a simple and fast thank you card I created. I always need thank you cards for something so I made a batch of these up. These are perfect for using up scraps. I used the Four You Stamp Set to create this you could easily change out the sentiment with this card. Here is what comes in the stamp set.

* Stamp the image from Four You Stamp Set onto the card base. I did get my image stamped a little crooked.

* Add some strips of designer paper to the bottom. I used the Moonlight Designer Series Paper.

* To finis it I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the left of the stamped image.

Paper Pumpkin Kit Filled With Love

Today I have two shares for you since I didn't make Friday's post live. lo I'll be sharing the My Paper Pumpkin Kit Filled With Love. I know Valentine's is past but I wanted to share these with you all. I've been getting lots of questions about My Paper Pumpkin lately.

1.Why haven't I been sharing the paper pumpkin kits lately & did I drop from them?

Answer~I'll be honest between not feeling good over the last few months and insanely busy with other projects going on I kinda fell behind on them but mostly because I just plain haven't been feeling good. Here is all the awesome goodies that came in this kit. Enough stuff to make a total of 24 Cellophane Bags. This kit was perfect if you have kids for a school thing or co-workers, friends and etc. I made a bunch up for friends and family. I LOVED the stamp set that came in this kit!! I did use it for my daily journal for February.

Here is the treat bag the kit made. Isn't it stinkin cute! I did mine a little different from the directions as I wanted to save some of the banners to use in my project life stuff :) I filled them with Hershey Kisses.

I found these heart boxes a long time ago and while cleaning my basket of misc. stuff I found them in there just wasn't sure how. Then my Paper Pumpkin Kit came and the light bulb went off.

* I punched out a piece of Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper using the Sweetheart Punch.

* Then decorated it using some of the goodies from the Paper Pumpkin Kit Filled With Love.

* Added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the heart and finished it off.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Daily Project Life Journal and 12 x 12 Page

I thought I posted this yesterday but I didn't lol. Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! I am sharing another part of my project life journal. One thing I have found too since I started this project I miss doing my 12 x 12 layouts I love the hole pocket scrapbooking a LOT but I really like creating 12 x 12's too so I decided I am going to include 12 x 12 layouts through out my album as I go too.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

* This layout is part of my daily journal. My Aunt retired in January from teaching and my cousin's had a retirement party for her. Everyone pitched in and brought food for the party. Our job was to make about 350 cookies....EEKKKKK that's a hole lot of cookies. ROFL

* Our journal card is attached to Early Espresso card stock so it's ready to go in the pocket.

* This summer my husband got my a Silhouette for our anniversary!!! It is AWESOME so I downloaded some baking images since I didn't have any stamps related to baking. I kept it  pretty simple.

This is the 12 x 12 layout I created to go in my album. You'll notice the little Hershey Kisses/Chocolate Chip image stamped across the bottom of the Crumb Cake. This is one of my retired Stampin' Up! wheels that I unmounted and I actually forgot I had this until we unmounted the wheels. lol I didn't write the names down of the wheels so I have to sort through all my catalogs now to find the names of them. lol

* I used the Project Life Journal Cards to create a journal spot on my layout.

Tip~ to save time the Project Life Journal Cards are the perfect size to added to your scrapbook layout.

* I used the Big Shot and the File Tab Framelits to die cut out tabs for the tops of the journal cards.

* I printed the journaling onto a piece of Moonlight Designer Series Paper using my printer. It was very easy to do!

Tip~  I do recommend printing on copy paper first to make sure it will fit your designer series paper.

Then I embellished everything to finish it off.

February Customer Thank You and Updates

Morning everyone,

Sorry I've been missing in action; I am still not feeling to great. Thanks to that I am way behind on everything. lol Thank you all for being so understanding and caring! I hope to have everything caught up by the end of next week and have packages mailed out to club members, downline and customers who qualified for all my promotions this month.

We are also finally doing our big family christmas gathering so in between resting/working I've been trying to finish up Christmas stuff here. Yep you read that right Christmas in February. lol

I've also decided due to me not feeling good I am postponing the 9 Day Birthday Class. My throat has been so messed up I haven't been able to get video's done here. The new dates for the class are listed on the 9 Day Birthday Class Details Page.

* Zip the Strawberry Slush card stock through the Big Shot with the Large Polka-Dots Embossing Folder.

* Zip the Bermuda Bay card stock through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

* Fill a Stampin' Spritzer with water and add 4 drops of Crushed Curry Ink Refill to it. Shake well and spritz the the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Specialty Designer Series Paper.

* Stamp the image from Big Day Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.

* Color the Rhinestones using the Bermuda Bay Blendabilities.

* This is a 3 x 3 Card I love this size for adding a little note with a gift or for just a quick note to cheer someone up.

* Zip the Real Red card stock through the Big Shot with the Happy Heart Textured Impression Embossing Folder.

* Stamp the hearts from You Plus Me Stamp Set in Calypso Coral onto Calypso Coral card stock.

* Add a piece of Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper across the center of the card.

* I stamped the images from You Plus Me Stamp Set in Crisp Cantaloupe and Memento Pad Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.

* Finish it off by stapling the side, add  a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Baker's Twine and a Whisper White candy dot.
