Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Daily Project Life Journal: Wheels and More Wheels

Howdy stampers!

Apparently my post didn't go live on Friday...I think I forgot to schedule it. lol This is part of one my goals this year to be organized and that mean's scheduling posts ahead so far I love it but the hole forgetting part is a pain lol hmmmm maybe I'll have to make a list for that...dh is gonna love that! lol

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!!

Today is another part of my Daily Project Life Journal. I originally wasn't going to show this cause I thought it would boring for my readers. lol Then I thought nope this is part of my organizing this year. I am in the process of converting all my wheels over to cling foam Stampin' Up! sells. Yep all zillion and one of them. lol I need to condense stuff down. I really thought about this long and hard before I did this too. After doing this hobby for more than 15 years you can about imagine what I have for stuff. ROFL

So what does a zillion and one wheels look like once they are unmounted????? Prepare yourself cause after my dh helped me unmounte them which took us about 4 hours; I almost started crying cause I thought OMG what did I do. lol

See what I mean....GASP my beloved wheels. EEEKKKKKK I never did count them. I should do that. lol Here is what the wheels looked like when we were done. We did have to trim a few down to fit the clear block but it wasn't much.

Hole lot of wheels peepes! Off to the recycling they went. We filled 3 bags. I told a zillion and one! Then we started to mount them to the cling foam.

Supper easy to do! I don't remember off hand how many we got onto a sheet. I am far from done as I had to order way more cling foam. lol So I will count next time we work on it. Then after dh cut them up for me :)

Rubber Redneck Quick Tips:

1. Try un-mounting one first and see if it's for you. I choose a wheel that if I didn't like it; it wasn't the end of the world if it was ruined.

2. As you un-mount them some how label them right away. I didn't even give that a thought (roll my eyes) so now it's taking me longer cause I have to look up each one. So don't do what I did. Snort

3. It is a little spendy to do this so you might want to do it a little at a time. Make sure you have a place to store them while waiting for cling foam to arrive. lol

4. During Sale-a-bration is a great time to do this cause you get something free for every $50!! And if your like me I needed a lot so I had enough for my own party to get the hostess benefits too! SCORE

So now your wondering how did I store them right? Well first my dh decided I needed a label maker and WOW peeps this is something you NEED. I don't know how I have lived my life without a label maker. lol I purchased some clear cases that Stampin' Up! sells. I love these!!! The clear cases you can fit 2 jumbo wheels in. So after some more thinking I decided to order the Avery Elle clear pockets. What I am going to do is when I un-mount the matching stamp set I am going to put the coordinating wheel with the set in the clear case. The rest of the wheels are going to go in the Avery Elle pockets so I can store them in a plastic bin. I think this way will save me on storage space so that's the plan right now. lol Once I get this part all done I will show more pictures I promise it's just gonna take awhile to do. lol

*All the pictures above will go into my album and these are all the little cards I made using our Happiness Is Project Life Card Collection and Accessory Pack.

* I wanted to incorporate one of the wheels some how so I stamped it onto a piece of card stock that I will attach to the picture when I print them. I also went ahead and mounted my index card right away to the paper that will slide into the pocket. This will be the front page.

Here is what the back page will look like. When I took this picture I hadn't finished journaling about it. lol

* The Borderettes Stamp Set is perfect for adding little borders to any cards.

Some of you have asked me why don't I just put everything right away into an album. I want to keep it all together in the box I created just for something fun and different. At the end of the year I will put it all into an album so as I go I am making all the inserts right away too and clipping them together.

Here it is clipped together to slide right into my box! This project has been a blast! I do need to figure out how to be a little more organized though. I am working on something that I will share with you all when I am done.

New Year's Party Favor

Morning peeps!

Today's post is a New Year's party favor idea I created. You could easily change this out for birthday, 4th of July and etc. which you may see some of these later in the year :) I do have a funny story about this project. After it was completed and pictures taken it was sitting on my counter. My stinker cat started to play with it when I wasn't in the room. He knocked it off onto the floor and the dog chewed the candy right off of it. Wrapper and all. Eeeeeppppp When I walked back into the room the cat was sitting on the counter where it was and the dog was hovering over it on the floor. lol So busted!! Thankfully he didn't get the toothpick and it didn't make him sick. So be careful if you have animals or little children around! lol

I created this to play along with color challenge for my New Year's Bash Edition. This year I did something new, fun and special for all of my customers that took the on-line class last year.  I used the Big Shot and Star Framelits to create this. Supper easy and fun to make!

* Die cut out Basic Black and Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and Star Framelits.

* Create a shaker by die cutting out the center of the Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and Star Framelits. Attach a piece of Window Sheet over the opening and added some sequins and punched stars using the Confetti Stars Punch; close it up and you have a shaker.

* I attached a rolo with a glue dot then inserted a toothpick into the center. I decorated the top using the Big Shot and Star Framelits again.  I stamped the image from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and die cut it out using the Big Shot and Bitty Banner Framelits.

CRU #127 Perfect Pennants Retirement Card

Howdy peeps,

Yep been missing again and posting late today. Since Friday it's been pretty insane around here for us. On Friday I dropped my husband off at the airport so he could go to Arizona to see his dad. My husband's dad served in the Air-force and unfortunately suffers from PTSD. A few days before Christmas he had a massive break down and was hospitalized. While he stayed in the hospital they wouldn't let anyone see him but my husband's step mom so as soon as they were given the all clear my husband flew down to see them.  We knew a trip was coming but in this case just didn't have much time to prepare. It' been a roller coaster but he seems to be doing a lot better now and on the right path to get the help he needs.

Then of course my stuff flared up bad over the weekend. On Monday I had to go back to the airport to get my husband. So yesterday I was pretty wiped out from everything and needed my rest so I don't end up in the hospital. lol Now today has been mega catch up day responding to emails, returning phone calls and everything else when you have more than one business. lol

Hello You Thinlit New Year's Card

Morning all,

Today's post is a New Year's card idea I created. I created this to play along with color challenge for my New Year's Bash Edition. This year I did something new, fun and special for all of my customers that take the on-line class. I had a special class just for them that was free as my thank you to them! * Our Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum is perfect for New Year's cards. I just added a little piece in the center.

* Die cut out a piece of Gold Foil Sheet using the Big Shot and the Hello You Thinlits.

* To make the "happy" pop I cut a piece of Natural Ivory card stock and stamped the image from Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in Crumb Cake onto the card stock. I attached the "happy" to it.

This is a group shot of the mini album all apart. I hear all the time I can't make stuff like that. It's so easy to make one these!!! Honestly I just pull out the stuff I want to use and create. I really don't try to over think it because if I do then I hit a wall and can't create. This baby started out as this....

Like I said in the original post I was just going to create valentine "love notes". Do you remember get those square little notes that looked like mini postcards? That was how the idea for this was born.

* Select some card stock; I picked out Crisp Cantaloupe. I wanted to get at least 4 out of a sheet of card stock so I just figured it out to get that many out of one piece of card stock.

* I decorated them by using the stamps from You Plus Me Stamp Set. I added some Stacked With Love Designer Washi Tape to dress them up. Very in expensive and goes a long ways. Then I drew a line around the edge using the Project Life Journal Pens. Which are awesome for this!

After I got these done I started thinking how much everyone was going to love these and then the idea popped into my head to create a little gift for the moms too. Cause mom's are always on the back burner. lol

Tip~ When creating a mini album like this I try to make each piece have a different looking end so once it's put together it creates and interesting looking edge and stands out.

* I just took another piece of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. It was a scrap that I had in the pack. I decorated that piece. I added a tag from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.

* Then I wanted to add some color to the project. I pulled out my Bermuda Bay card stock and searched through it for a piece of card stock already cut. I used my Big Shot and retired Adorning Accents Framelit to die cut the top of the Bermuda Bay card stock.

* I stamped the end using the You Plus Me Stamp Set.

* At the top I added a Basic Hodgepodge Clip.

* I stamped the heart from You Plus Me Stamp Set and punched it out using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

* I created a journal tag next. It's important to journal something on all your scrapbook projects. I stamped the images from You Plus Me and Hello Life Stamp Sets.

* I pulled out another piece of Crisp Cantaloupe scrap piece to use. Using up scraps makes it really easy to create a cute little mini album.

* To make the top different I added a piece of 3/4 Basic Black Chevron Ribbon at the top and stapled it.

 

* I created another piece using Basic Black and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock.

* For a different edge I punched the top of the Basic Black card stock with Heart Border Punch.

* I stamped the images from You Plus Me Stamp Set again.

* To tie in the Bermuda Bay color I added a piece of Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim.

Tip~ You want the colors to balance out on your completed project.

Once I was done creating all the pieces I then need some way to hold it all together. I created a little pouch to slide everything in.

* To create it I cut down a piece of Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper. Then I scored it half and stapled each side. I used the stamp from You Plus Me Stamp Set and stamped it in Stazon White Pad.

* To tie in the Bermuda Bay color and balance it I wrapped some Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim around.

* I stamped the love from Hello Life Stamp Set onto a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. I die cut it out using the Big Shot and Project Life Card Labels to create a tag. Then I finished it by tying Thick Crisp Cantaloupe Baker's Twine around it.

I am really happy with how it turned out! I hope you will try creating your own little mini album. There is no wrong way to create it!

Sorry I've been missing in action!! I haven't been feeling to great here. I had a bad flair up the other day with my RA and then that night my poor dog was pretty sick all night which equaled to maybe 2 hours sleep for me. Here is the cover completed. I just love the colors!! I used the new In Colors. I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. I die cut out some of the card stock using the Big Shot; with Hexagon Hive and Banner Framelits.

Here is the side view. Each month was stamped using the Perpetual Birthday Calender Stamp Set. Then I covered the tabs with Washi Tape! I love my washi tape :)

Each month's divider is the coordinating colored card stock to match the Washi Tape.

Here is the view of each month's calender. I already have January and February all marked up so I wanted to show what it would look like for those of you that purchase it. There is a calender for each month. At the top I stamped the month and year using the Project Life Day to Day Stamp Set. Project Life doesn't just have to be for scrapbooking! There won't be stars stamped either that's just for me as a reminder when my club members orders are due.

Each week I have a piece of paper that I created lines on so I can write out my to due list for the following week to help me keep more organized and for planning. As I get each item done then I will just highlight it. At the top I added some Washi Tape and stamped This Week from Project Life Remember This Stamp Set. If your order this planner it won't have the washi tape at the top or stamped image that was just how I decorated it for my personal use. Then I added a paper clip with Washi Tape to book mark that week to make it easier to find it. Then when the week is over I will move it to the next month. You will receive 4 Paper Clips with Washi Tape if you purchase the planner.

Then this is the view of the week. Where I can write in each block my blog post idea, what I have happening on that specific day. Each block I hand stamped the number for the date. All planners purchased will have this done by me. I used the Project Life Day to Day Stamp Set.

There is also a sheet with Income and Expense for the month. I stamped each month on a page using the Project Life Day to Day Stamp Set. Then I added some Washi Tape across the top.

On the back of the Income and Expense sheet I created lines for goals and lines for downline to help me keep track of each of my downline.

Here is what my January month looks like all filled out. I used Washi Tape to mark certain dates and I used certain images from the Project Life Point & Click Stamp Set to mark certain events on my calender. At the top is a key guide I created so I know what everything is. For those that purchase the planner it will have a blank key guide for you to fill in how you want to decorate your calender. So phew now you see why it took me so long. lol But I am happy to say I've been  using it for a month and it's awesome! Please note on the back of the purchased binders is a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Stampin' Up! copyright logo.

The Stamp Review Crew; Valentine Free For All

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!!  The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. Please note the blog doesn't officially start until Monday January 19 so some of the links may not work.

I so excited for the fun to start!! We have a great group of talented stampers for this hop!!  If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Martha's blog  Inch of Creativity where she made some beautiful projects!!! This hop is a little different we normally all feature just one stamp set but this hop instead we are all featuring different sets for Valentines. We'll be giving you lots of awesome ideas for valentines!!

I am using the You Plus Me Stamp Set along with some of the other fabulous valentine products from the Occasions Catalog. This set is a lot of fun to create with!!

When I started this cute project I was just going to show just these cute little note card ideas. When growing up; my grandma's one sister never married or had a family of her own; so all of us nieces, newphews, great nieces and nephews where very specail to her and she spoiled us kids BAD. She was very creative and talented and would make fun, special things for us :) I have a lot of wonderful memories of her. My husband and I don't have childrent so we like to do special things for all the kids and I love to make things for our neices, nephews and cousin's kids. I hope we are giving them wonderful memories like I have. My cousin's, sister in-laws are so busy all the time being a parent and all that comes with that; sometimes they just don't have enough hours in their day. So the idea was born to make little love notes for valentine's day for them to use on there kids at school. I thought it would help and save some time for them. lol So the above photo is what I created; then I thought I would clip them together with a Basic Hodgepodge Clip. Easy peasie perfect for that busy mom!

Those of you that know me; know I just can't ever make anything simple. lol Well my project kinda turned into another mega project.....

I decided to also make a little mini album of sorts to give to each of the parents. So they can record valentines day with the kiddo's and spouses. This is what it looks like all done. :) See what I mean this gal can't keep it simple! lol I used the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack, and the Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set. I think it turned out pretty cool and I can't wait to give it to them!

Here is a group picture of my projects. I made a bunch of birthday cards using the Hooray It's Your Day Stamp Set. I think this set is cute and adorable and I see a lot of possibilities and miles out of the set :) Of course it screams to me small odd shaped cards too which I LOVE to make.

1st Project ~

Is a very simple and easy card. It's what you would call a one layer card. I really struggle with this type of card cause I am soooo a layer girl; but in the end I do think it turned out cute. This card would be awesome for those of you that make cards for you children's friends very simple and fast to make! You can't see it in the picture but after I was all done stamping I sprayed some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz across the card front.

2nd Project~

Here is the stepped up version of the first card and then I also switched out the embellishments on it too. I added my all time favorite Washi Tape!!

3rd Project~

Now this card below is more my speed :) I created another mini card. I actually had a piece of Whisper White card stock just laying on my counter and thought hmmm score in half and bam I have a cute adorable card size! I also had what I call a dork moment and the light bulb/bells went off. At first I wasn't going to share cause well it is truly a dork moment. lol I always wondered on other people's cards I would see like twine I believe layered behind stuff. I figured out how to make my own. I pulled the Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine apart and just like that I know had some of my own :) Yep I told ya truly a dork moment but hey I thought maybe I wasn't the only one that didn't think of that.  hahaha
