* The Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper is perfect for Halloween. I have two different patterns on the page.

* To get the pumpkin to stand out; I die cut out a piece of Basic Black card stock using the Big Shot and the Starburst Framelits and put it behind the pumpkin. I then die cut out the pumpkin using the Fun Fall Framelits and the Big Shot.

* The saying from Ghoulish Greetings was perfect to use as a page title on the layout. If you struggle with coming up with a title a lot of your greeting stamps work great to use on titles for your page.

* I added a touch of 2013-2015 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (Crisp Cantaloupe Pattern).

* The boot is from the Bootiful Occasions Stamp Set; I colored in the image using the Smoky Slate Blendabilites and 2013-2015 Markers. I die cut out the image using the Circle Framelits.

* I added some 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortments and Rhinestone Basic Jewels onto the boot image to dress it up.

Every Wednesday I will be posting a new Color Round Up Color Challenge!!! All color challenges will be based on Stampin' Up! color families.

* The Witches Brew Designer Paper is perfect for Halloween. It's also currently on the clearance rack and available to purchase.

The Creative Blog Hop

Morning everyone,

I have been tagged by Tanya Boser to be part of a never-ending blog hop called the Creative Blog Hop. Tanya is a fellow demo friend that lives here in MN!! She is a kind and special lady! I had never heard of it before so I did a google search on this hop. I found some fun and interesting blogs featuring this hop. They ranged from painting, knitting, cooking, stamping, scrappbooking and many more hobbies. I of course said yes because it was so fun to check out those blogs and read about other people's passions! I recommend you google it too but be prepared you will be sucked into hours on the internet. lol

Well, there are 4 questions I am supposed to answer for this hop. Here they are:

1. What am I working on now?

I will admit I laughed at that question because right now life is insane here and I thought if people saw my lists they would have a heart attack :D. Yes I am a list maker sometimes that drives my husband nuts :D A few years ago my dad became sick and my husband damaged his knee very bad. Life became nuts between helping my parents on there farm, and running our cleaning business on my own too. I had a lot of trouble finding time to do parties and classes with my Stampin' Up! business and was close to retiring from it. lol My husband came up with the idea of doing on-line classes and boy I gotta say at the time I didn't have a clue what I was getting myself into. I had not much knowledge of computers at the time. lol I am very happy to say my on-line classes are doing great!! We won't let my husband know he was a genius. lol

This is one of my special classes and it is going to be big and awesome!! It will be different from my current classes. I have a special blog just for my on-line classes called The Rubber Redneck STAMPede which you can visit HERE. We also recently added monthly kits, my Rubber Redneck Demo Helper and special classes. So right now I am preparing for a bunch of online-classes that will be coming up in the next few weeks and over the next few months. We are also making some big upcoming changes to the site for current class members (Your gonna love it!) and I am working on getting my own custom store launched too!! So excited!!

I have several blog hops coming up, I am on a few design teams and I am working on two major christmas gift projects for family. We also just recently launched my husbands website design, hosting and Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Maintenance. We make widgets for demonstrators blogs; offer packages for posting to the blogs for announcements and etc. To check out my husbands site visit HERE. He is so talented he made both my websites! Plus we are trying to get our firewood cut, house projects wrapped up and finish up some major projects at my parents farm. Now do you see why I was laughing. It's been work from 5:30 am to 10 pm at night. lol

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?

I LOVE layers I am truly the layer girl. lol I also love the vintage feel to my projects!

See I told ya I am the layer and vintage girl! I have lots of layers on this card! I also love glitter, ribbons, and distressing my projects. I honestly have trouble doing one layer cards they take me hours sometimes.

3. Why do I create what I do?

For the joy of it and to keep my sanity! lol I started out scrapbooking my grandma asked me to help her research her ancestry. You see we had a scandalous thing in our family history. (like so many other's back then) My grandma's aunt had a child out of wedlock. It was never discussed as it was improper back thing. My grandma's aunt had the child for a few years before giving up for adoption. It always bothered my grandma that she didn't know what really happened to him, was he cared for and loved, did he have children and so on. So my journey started I scrapbooked and started to document everything.....unfortunately my grandma passed before I could find him but last year I had a break through and found him! 18 years of searching and I found him!! The ironic part his great niece was searching as well. There is still a lot of unanswered questions but the main thing was I found him!

Thirteen years ago one of my good friends was killed in a freak accident. Then a few months later my cousin on my mom's side was killed in a car accident it was sudden and she was only 17 she was the youngest of us 5 grand-kids. Then less then a year later on my dad's side we lost the oldest of us grand-kids. It truly changes your life to loose young people. We lost a few more family members, my grandfather got Alzhimer's and my grandma had a stroke and became bed ridden. We went through some rough times and life is short!! My motto live each and every day to the fullest and live with no regrets! So scrapbooking then really became important to me to help remember those lost and never forget how special they were to us and for future generations to know them.

Of course I went from scrapbooking to cards and 3d items! I love making handmade gifts for friends, and family. It really calms me and to quote Tanya "there is absolutely nothing life or death about it, and no right or wrong" and if I don't like something I trash it. lol

 
4. How does my creative process work?

It depends on what I am doing. It might start with a theme, color combo, what time of the year it is, something I want to try, or play with my new goodies! I pretty much honestly just wing it. lol If I have a certain set I want to use I look at it, do some doodling with ideas and go from there. I hear a lot how did you come up with that idea?? Don't know really just pulled stuff out and started playing. lol I put on my country music or watch the old movies. I love movies from 1935-1956 era or Downtown Abby, Masterpiece Movies LOVE them, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Duck Dynasty, home remodeling shows and etc. lol

So here is a glimps into me and my life :)

Now, of the 3 people I asked to participate, only 1 was able to sign up! The others were already asked, or did not have the time to do this hop... bummer!

"I've been paper crafting for about 12 years now. I started making a few Christmas cards, then turned to scrapbooking. I did that for quite a few years, and now I enjoy any type of paper crafts! I love to make 3D projects, punch art, and of course playing with stamps! While I'm not crafting, I'm looking after my 8 year old son, and thinking of what paper project to make next!!!"
