Important Update!!!! Changing My Blog Delivery Service

Howdy Rubber Redneck Readers!

Tuesday I briefly mentioned about changing my blog delivery service. Here is the run down. Feedburner, the newsletter/email delivery service I have used for the last few years for sharing my daily Rubber Redneck blog updates by email and RSS feed, is not working correctly. Some of my subscribers are getting updates, but many are not.

In order to reactivate service for those subscribers who aren't getting my blog updates and avoid a future Feedburner shutdown of delivery for those who are, I made the decision to move the email and RSS delivery service to Feedblitz, a much more stable provider.

Many of you received an email from me yesterday (through Feedblitz--the new provider) transferring your subscription from Feedburner to Feedblitz.  If you received it, you don't need to do anything further. You should be good to go with updates (starting today) unless you opted out.  For the next week, you may get duplicates of my blog updates because both feeds (Feedburner and Feedblitz) will be temporarily active until this transition is complete. You can unsubscribe to the Feedburner account at any time (at the bottom of a Feedburner delivery update) but I will be shutting down Feedburner permanently after May 7, 2014 and any duplicate updates should end automatically. If you have problems or questions please feel to email me [email protected]

IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL TRANSFER TO FEEDBLITZ YESTERDAY, you just need to subscribe to delivery of my blog updates through Feedblitz HERE If you aren't sure whether you already subscribed or are active, you can try to subscribe at the same link and it will let you know if you are already active or step you through the subscription process if you haven't. 

To ensure that the updates you want actually reach your inbox, please add the FeedBlitz email address -- [email protected] -- to your email white list (or address book) now.

My base is Gumball Green card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock. I ran the Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I took the Hardwood Background Clear Stamp; inked in Crumb Cake and stamped onto the Crumb Cake card stock. I cut 2 different colors and pattern pieces of 2012-2014 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. I wrapped a piece of Natural 5/8 Chevron ribbon around the bottom of the layers. I placed 3 1/8 Silver Brads on the right side of the Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamps from Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set; inked them in the following colors: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit and Crumb Cake. I stamped them onto Whisper White card stock. I then punched out each image using the Hexagon Punch. I attached them with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then slid one of the Hang Up Cute Clips onto the hexagon and then tied a piece of Linen Thread around it.

I know yesterday I posted that I would share the details about the feedblitz, we ran into a snag so I don't want to have you do something and then have to redue it again. I will give an updated posted as soon as I can.

Every Wednesday I will be posting a new Color Round Up Color Challenge!!! All color challenges will be based on Stampin' Up! color families.

To take part in the Color Round Up Color Challenge CRU #98~

1. Create a project (card, scrapbook page, 3D item or MDS item) using this color combo only. You can use any brand of products!! Stampin' Up! has changed the rule!! I can't wait to see what you make!!!

My base is Real Red card stock. I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I cut two different patterns of Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper this is retiring. I cut a piece of 1/4 Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and wrapped it around the layers. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Tag It Stamp Set; inked in Old Olive and stamped onto the Whisper White card stock. I attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I took the stamp from Tag It Stamp Set; inked in the following colors: Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut out the balloons. I attached them with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then added a 1/4 Real Red Stitched Bow and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Mosaic Madness Mother's Day Card

Morning everyone,

Today's share I created to play along with a challenge for my Spring Time On-line Class.The class is over but you can still purchase the class and get 14 fabulous and cute projects with step by step photos in a downloadble PDF along with Video Tutorials!!! Lots of great ideas!! This fun and pretty card use's the stamp set called Mosaic Madness Stamp Set. Below is the supply list I used to create this card and I have also listed this card in my Etsy Store.

My base is Smoky Slate card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper (Strawberry Slush Pattern). This paper is retiring this year!!! I cut a piece of Island Indigo card stock. I took the stamp from Mosaic Madness Stamp Set; inked in Island Indigo and stamped onto the Island Indigo card stock. I cut another piece of Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper (Daffodil Delight Pattern). I cut a piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and glued the two pieces to the left side.

I cut a Tea Lace Paper Doily in half. I took the stamps from Mosaic Madness Stamp Set; inked them in the following colors: Smoky Slate, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, and Gumball Green. I stamped each mosaic onto some Whisper White card stock. I punched each mosaic out using the Mosaic Punch. I attached the mosaics with Stampin' Dimensionals. I took the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; inked in Island Indigo and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I notched out the one end and attached across the mosaics. I then added a Neutrals Designer Buttons (Smoky Slate) to the end of the tag. I created a double Whisper White Baker's Twine Bow and attached it to the button. I then placed some Brights Designer Candy Dots and Rhinestone Basic Jewel onto the card.

My base is Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of Tangerine Tango card stock. I took the 3/16 Corner Punch and round the left top corner. I used the stamp from Happy Watercolor Stamp Set; inked in Tangerine Tango and stamped on the left side of the Tangerine Tango card stock. I cut a piece of Primrose Petals card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Flower Garden Embossing Folder. I cut a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. I punched one side with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I cut a piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.  I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I took the flower stamp from Happy Watercolor Stamp Set; inked in Jet Black Stazon and stamped onto the Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Happy Watercolor Stamp Set and I worked my way down the flower image stamping in the following colors: Daffodil Delight, Primrose Petals, and Tangerine Tango, cleaning the stamp between each color. I attach the Whisper White card stock to the center of the layers I cut a piece of 5/8 Primrose Petal Stitched Satin Ribbon and wrapped it around the bottom. I glued the layers to the front of the Whisper White card base. I took the stamp from Happy Watercolor Stamp Set; inked in Tangerine Tango and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then placed some Rhinestone Basic Jewels on it to finish it.

This is the front view of my card. I combined the Horse Frontier Stamp Set with lots of other fun items in the catalog. It uses the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper, 3/8 Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and the Scallop Trim Border Punch which is all on the retired lists this year.

Here is the inside of my card. I kept it clean and simple! The perfect guy card!! I am sad to see this set go I really liked this set!

Stampin' Up! Event Display Stamper Try Out

Hello everyone!

I am excited that this year Stampin' Up! is offering demonstrators two exciting opportunities to display their projects on the Convention 2014 display boards!!! Wondering what this is all about?? Stampin' Up! always has fabulous display boards with samples created by demonstrators!!! Which pssst... don't tell but is one of my favorite thing about Stampin' Up! conventions!!!!! It's all in one whole spot for you to drool over!!! I wish they would just let me set up a table right in front of the samples and play for about, lets say, a week?? This card was scheduled to share with you on Sunday but due to typepad being attacked my post did not post. lol So I ended up using it as a sketch challenge card over on The Rubber Redneck STAMPeede site.  Since I created this card the Gumball Green card stock has completely sold out!! But you could easily change out the color for Garden Green or Wild Wasabi! It is a pretty simple and fun card. It does use that beautiful 5/8 Crochet Trim Ribbon, and Vintage Trinkets which are retiring this year :( my two favorite things!! Below is the sketch I posted.
