TRRS6-Sketch Challenge using Season of Joy

Morning everyone!!

Today over on The Rubber Redneck STAMPede I have posted a new sketch challenge for you all!! I love this sketch challenge and I hope you have time to play along!! The card I created is pulling double duty, I made this to play along with a color challenge in my last on-line class. I liked the card a lot and decided it would work great for a sketch challenge as well!

Dasher Card

Morning everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We did Christmas with my Mom's side this past weekend. Lots of fun and way too much food!! It was a beautiful weekend almost to the 40's so crazy for Dec. Normally today is Monday's 3D Challenge but we took off for the month of Dec over on Stampin' Addicts so today instead I have one of my favorite cards I made this year! The challenges will be back in January!! I created this to play along with a color challenge for my last On-line class!! My base is Always Artichoke. I cut a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper and ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I then crumpled it up and tore the edges a little. I then Brayered Always Artichoke over it. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. I used the Brayer to apply Versamark to the card stock. I then poured Iridescent Ice Stampin' Embossing Powder over the card stock and heat set it with the Heat Tool.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges. I added a piece of Holly Berry Designer Series Paper on the bottom.  I wrapped a piece of 1/2" Chantilly Crochet Trim around the top of the Holly Berry Designer Series Paper. I then snailed those 3 layers to the front of the Always Artichoke card stock.

I cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock and a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper. I took the Dasher Stamp inked in Versa Mark then in Always Artichoke and stamped onto the First Edition Designer Series Paper. I poured Clear Embossing Powder over the image and heat set it. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I snailed it to the Soft Suede card stock at an angle then added some Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the Soft Suede card stock. I took the stamp from Many Merry Messages Stamp Set; inked in Real Red and stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I punched it out with the Curly Label Punch and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I snailed it to the Soft Suede card stock. I then made a double bow from the 1/2 Chantilly Crochet Trim and wrapped a Glimmer Brad Brights around the center. I attached it to the card front on the left side.

On the inside I cut a piece of  Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock. I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake ink. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. I used the Brayer to apply Versamark to the card stock. I then poured Iridescent Ice Stampin' Embossing Powder over the card stock and heat set it with the Heat Tool.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges. I cut a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I added a piece of Holly Berry Designer Series Paper in the center.  I wrapped a piece of 1/2" Chantilly Crochet Trim around the top of the Holly Berry Designer Series Paper.

This is a supper fast idea and sketch to recreate. You could easily adapt it for any time of the year or event! My base is Early Espresso card stock. I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock. I took the stamps from Merry and Type Stamp Set inked them in Old Olive and stamp down the left side and top of the Old Olive card stock.

Tip~ For a subtle look ink your stamps in the same color of the card stock your stamping on.

I cut a strip of Glimmer Paper Silver for the left side. I used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch a piece of Riding Hood Red card stock out. I then ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. I punched out a piece of Early Espresso card stock with the Decorative Label Punch. I snailed it to the Riding Hood Red circle. I then placed onto the page over lapping the Glimmer Paper Silver. I cut 3 photo mats out of Marina Mist card stock. I used the Big Shot and Timeless Type Junior Alphabet to die cut out the title "Joy" in Early Espresso card stock. To finish off the layout I added some Jewels Basic Rhinestones.

Tip~ Use Glimmer Paper and Jewels Basic Rhinestones to add some "Bling" to your page.

Now you've created a simple layout to highlight your Christmas Pictures!

Every Wednesday I will be posting a new Color Round Up Color Challenge!!! All color challenges will be based on Stampin' Up! color families. I am a Stampin' Up! Demo so all my samples will only use SU product.

 My base is Basic Gray card stock. I then cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock. I took the stamp from Many Merry Messages Stamp Set; inked in Pear Pizzazz and stamped onto the bottom of the card stock. I cut a piece of Basic Gray card stock; punched one side with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I cut a piece of 2010-2012 In Color DSP (Poppy Parade) and a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I took the Dasher Stamp; inked in Basic Gray and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I then added some Crochet Trim Victoria 3/8 and a Vintage Trinket to the ribbon. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of all the layers and attached to the front of the Basic Gray card stock. I then added a Jewels Basic Pearl in the upper right hand corner.

Monday's 3D Challenge; Winter Post Candy Holder

Morning everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend!! I am still on the tale end of this cold so I pretty much just putz-ed around the house trying to disinfect it and slept some more. I want to say thank you all so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave comments! I really appreciate it! Some of you have been requesting me to do video tutorials on my cards. I am honored you would want videos!! However I am sad to say with my schedule I don't have time to do videos on my cards. Since the month of December is so busy Stampin' Addicts Challenges for this month are just do overs from the past months!! I loved the Dark and Dreary Candy Holder that I posted HERE. I thought it would be perfect for a Christmas gift for a co-worker, friend, teacher or etc. So I remade it using the Winter Post Stamp Set!! This is so easy to make that I didn't do a video tutorial on this.

Directions~

1. Cut 1 piece of Very Vanilla card stock 3 1/2" x 7 1/2". Take the stamp from Winter Post Stamp Set; ink it in Pear Pizzazz and stamp it all over the Very Vanilla card stock. I then applied a piece of Sticky Strip on the back of the Tootsie Roll and placed it on the inside of the Very Vanilla card stock. I then wrapped a piece of 1/2 Pear Pizzazz Ribbon, 3/8 Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon and some 1/2 Chantilly Crochet Trim around the Very Vanilla card stock.

2. Using the Big Shot and Scallop Square Duo die cut out 1 larger square in Soft Suede card stock.I sponged the edges with Very Vanilla Craft Ink around the edges.

3. Cut 1 piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". I sponged the edges with Pear Pizzazz ink. Then snail it to the Soft Suede Scalloped Square.

4. Cut 1 piece of Spice Cake Designer Series Paper 1/2" x 2 3/4". I snailed this a little ways up on the Frist Edition DSP. I then placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the Soft Suede Scallop Square and attached to the Very Vanilla card stock.

5. Cut 1 piece of Very Vanilla card stock 2" x 2". I took the En Francais Background Stamp; inked in Pear Pizzazz and stamped it onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I took the stamp from Winter Post Stamp Set; inked in Soft Suede and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede then added some Jewels Basic Pearls. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and attached to the center of the treat holder. I took the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; inked in Pear Pizzazz and stamped it onto piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I then cut it into a mini banner and sponged the edges with Soft Suede. I then added a a Jewels Basic Pearl to it.

Inspired by Nature Card

Today I have another Fall card to share with you! I made this to play along with a color challenge for my Fall Fest on-line class.

My base is Soft Suede card stock. I cut a piece of Cajun Craze card stock next. I then cut 2 pieces of Paisley Prints Designer Series Paper in two different patterns. I cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock; then punched one side out with the Scallop Edge Punch. I then pierced holes in each scallop. I cut a piece of Cajun Craze card stock; ran it through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I took the stamp from Inspired by Nature Stamp Set; sponged the ink onto the stamp and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I sponged the edge of the Very Vanilla card stock with Soft Suede ink. I wrapped a piece of 3/8 Soft Suede around the bottom of the card stock. I snailed the card stock to the center of the card. Then placed Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of the Cajun Craze card stock and attached to the Soft Suede card front. I took the stamp from Inspired by Nature Stamp Set; inked in Cajun Craze and stamped it onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I then punched it out with Extra Large Oval Punch. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and attached to the card. To finish it off I added some Jewels Basic Pearls to the card.

On the inside I cut a piece of Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock. I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla card stock with Soft Suede ink. I cut 2 pieces of Paisley Prints DSP in two different patterns. I then wrapped a piece of 3/8 Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon around the center of the DSP.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Fall Envelope Mini Scrapbook Album Part 3

In the third part of this I am gonna cover the pull out pages. Here is page 2!! Mini Albums are fantastic to highlight a certain event!!! They make fantastic gifts too!!!

1. Cut 1 piece of Early Espresso card stock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

2. Cut 1 piece of Whisper White 3 3/4" x 5" card stock. Take the Wonderfully Worn Background Stamp; ink it in Early Espresso and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock.Take the stamps from Gently Falling Stamp Set; ink them in Old Olive and Tangerine Tango and stamp around  the edges of the Whisper White card stock.

3. Cut 1 piece of Spice Cake Designer Series Paper 1" x 5" glue it to the Whisper White card stock.Wrap a piece of 1/2 Tangerine Tango Scallop Dots Ribbon around the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper.Using the Curly Label Punch; I punched a piece of Old Olive card stock out. I pierced 3 holes into the Curly Label Punch; then glued it to the back of the Whisper White card stock. I then glued the Whisper White card stock to the Early Espresso card stock.

This completes the Fall Envelope Mini Scrapbook! Now you can change this album out to fit any time of the year! Need a last minuet gift for christmas? This would be perfect for grandparents, aunts and uncles!! Thanks for following along! Have a great day!!

Field Flowers Card

This cold has been kicking my butt big time!! All I have done is sleep!! I am finally starting to feel like I will live! lol Next week all the challenges will be back!! I am a little behind in my blogging so I still have a few fall projects to share with you all. I am sure you don't mind because if your like me your in denial about how close christmas is!! lol Today's card is a card I made to play along in a color challenge for my Fall Fest On-line Class.

My base is Very Vanilla card stock; I sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink. I cut a piece of Always Artichoke card stock; ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I cut a piece of Cajun Craze card stock. I took the Wonderfully Worn Background Stamp; inked in Cajun Craze and stamped onto the Cajun Craze card stock. I used the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce holes down the left side of the Cajun Craze card stock. I snailed it to the Always Artichoke card stock then wrapped a piece of 3/8 So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon around the center of the Cajun Craze card stock. I added another little loop of ribbon on top.

I cut a piece of Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock. I took the En Francais Background Stamp; inked in So Saffron and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink. I took the stamp from Field Flowers Stamp Set; inked the leaves and stems in Always Artichoke and the flowers in Cajun Craze. I stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I then used the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool and  pierced some holes in the bottom right corner of the Very Vanilla card stock.

I took the stamp from Fields of Flowers Stamp Set; inked in Cajun Craze and stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I punched it out using the Curly Label Punch. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso card stock. I snailed it to the back of the Early Espresso card stock and attached to the Always Artichoke card stock. I offset the Very Vanilla card stock on top of the Early Espresso card stock. I took the stamp from Field of Flowers Stamp Set; inked in Cajun Craze and stamped two flowers onto Very Vanilla card stock. I cut them out and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added some Jewels Basic Pearls in the upper left corner of the Very Vanilla card stock. I then placed an Antique Brad onto the card. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the Always Artichoke and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I took the En Francais Background Stamp; inked in So Saffron and stamped lightly on the bottom and right side.I took the stamp from Field Flowers Stamp Set; inked the leaves and stems in Always Artichoke and the flowers in Cajun Craze. I stamped on the bottom right corner of the inside of the card. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso.

Monday's 3D Challenge; Serene Snowflakes Hot Cider Holder

Morning everyone!

So sorry I have been missing in action! Last week I had such a crazy week I scheduled blog posts and I must have done something wrong as they didn't post! Then we end up being gone longer than planned out of town for dh's doctor appointment and we came home both pretty sick with colds. Tis the season of germs!! lol Sorry I know some of you were worried; thank you for your emails of concern!!

Since the month of December is so busy Stampin' Addicts Challenges for this month are just do overs from the past months!! I loved the Hot Cider Packet Holder that I posted HERE. I thought it is perfect for a Christmas gift for a co-worker, friend, teacher or etc. So I remade it using the Serene Snowflakes Stamp Set!!

  Directions~

1. Cut 1 piece of Soft Suede card stock 4 1/4" x 7 1/2". Score it at 3 1/2"and 4".

2. Cut 1 Crumb Cake Envelope 4". Take the stamp from Serene Snowflakes Stamp Set; ink it in Poppy Parade and stamp around the edges of the envelope. At the top of the opening use the Decorative Label Punch and punch part of the envelope. Then snail the flap on the envelope closed and snail the envelop to the inside of the Soft Suede card stock. Slide the Hot Cider or Hot Cocoa Packet inside the envelope then wrap a piece of 1/2 Stitched Poppy Parade Stitched Ribbon and 1/8 Old Olive Taffeta around the outside of the Soft Suede card stock and tie closed at the top.

3. Cut 1 piece of Old Olive card stock 3 1/4" x 4". Run the Old Olive card stock through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Sponge the edges with Old Olive ink.

4. Cut 1 piece of Poppy Parade card stock 2 3/4" x 3 1/2". Use the Cutter Kit to distress the edges. Snail to the Poppy Parade card stock.

5. Cut 1 piece of Very Vanilla card stock 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". Take the stamp from For the Holidays; ink it in Soft Suede and stamp onto the Very Vanilla card stock. Take the stamp from Serene Snowflakes Stamp Set; ink it in Old Olive and Poppy Parade and stamp onto the Very Vanilla card stock. Sponge the edges with Soft Suede ink. Snail to the center of the Poppy Parade card stock. Place Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the Old Olive card stock on the right and left side only so the ribbon can still slide; then attach to the front of the Soft Suede card stock. Spray the entire holder with Smooch Spritz Gold Glow, then place one Jewels Basic Pearl in the center of the snowflake.
