Decor Elements~Frightful Sights

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing a Photo Frame that I decorated using the Frightful Sight Decor Elements. I love the decor elements because you can do a lot with them other than just putting them on a wall!! They work great for gift ideas and are really inexpensive. I purchased a 5 x 7 photo frame at Walmart for $3. I would recommend going up one size bigger it was a tight fit for the Scaredy Cat decor element.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; 6 x 6 Goblin Page

Morning everyone!!

Sorry I have been missing!! On tuesday I came down with a sinus infection that turned into the beginning of pneumonia right away. I have been pretty sick; almost landed myself in the hospital. I had a high fever, low oxygen and high blood pressure but Dh and I were pretty good about pushing those liquids so because of that they didn't put me in since I wasn't dehydrated. Remember that if you get really sick push those liquids!!

The medicine is starting to do it's magic so I thought I would try to at least do my blog post today and work on answering emails we'll see how long I last. lol If you have emailed me in the last few days I will try to get back to you but it may be a few more days before I reply. Those that have placed orders or wanting to place orders I will get back to you as soon as I can it may be a few more days too. I don't have much of a voice right now. Also it will be at least Monday before I feel good enough to start stamping again so it'll be probably mid week before your thank you cards go out.

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Some of you may have already got to see this page!! This page is doing double duty. I used it for a color challenge in my Fall Fest Class too. I now a few days behind on the Halloween Shares so it'll go into next week. The color challenge will also be up next week. So you get another week for the current color challenge!!!

The Grateful Greetings Stamp Set is a wonderful valued stamp set it covers Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines Day.You can use this set to scrapbook, make cards and 3D items!!! With this stamp set the possibilities are endless!!!

My base is a piece of 6 x 6 Lucky Limeade card stock. I took the stamp from Grateful Greetings Stamp Set; inked in Lucky Limeade and stamped on the upper half of the Lucky Limeade card stock.

Tip~ Use word sayings to create your own background paper.

I cut a piece of Basic Black card stock; then punched one side out with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. Using the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool I pierced a row of holes around the 3 edges of the Whisper White card stock.

Tip~ Do a little paper piercing on your page to added a little subtle detail to it. If your on a budget this is a very inexpensive thing to do to a layout and adds a lot to the page!!

I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. On the bottom I wrapped a piece of 1/2 Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon around the bottom. I then placed 1 Designer Printed Brads In color into the ribbon. I punched a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Curly Label Punch. I used the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to punch a row of holes on the Curly Label.

4. Cut 1 piece of Very Vanilla card stock 4" x 11". Score it at the following measurements: 1 1/2", 5 1/2" and 9 1/2". I sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. Snail the Scallop Squares to the ends of the Very Vanilla card stock.

5. Cut 2 pieces of Soft Suede card stock 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" for the photo mats. Snail to the Very Vanilla card stock.

6. Cut 2 pieces of More Mustard card stock 1" x 3 3/4", then run them through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Snail each one to the bottom of the Soft Suede card stock.

Decorating the Cover~

I then used the Big Shot and the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet and die cut out FALL in More Mustard card stock. I snailed it to the bottom over lapping the Spice Cake DSP. I then die cut 3 Very Vanilla Leaves out using the Big Shot and the Leaves #2 Die. I ran each leaf through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

Tip~ add some texture to your die cuts by running them through the Big Shot with an Embossing Folder.

I sponged Pool Party, More Mustard and Soft Suede onto the leaves. I then added some Dazzling Diamonds to the leaves. I attached them to the cover of the album using Stampin' Dimensionals and Glue Dots. I made a bow out of 3/8 Soft Suede Taffeta and added a Antique Brad to the center.
