Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; 6 x 6 Page using Home Run

Morning and happy Friday!!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Today's share is a 6 x 6 Page it uses the Home Run Stamp Set!! I made this little page to play along with Stampin' Addicts Scrapbook Challenges! Tanya27 does a sketch for us once a month. When I saw last weeks sketch I right away had this idea for baseball!!! I hope you will stop in at Stampin' Addicts and check out the Scrapbook Challenges!! What better way then to play along with the scrapbook challenges to get caught up on your scrapbooking!!! I used the following supplies to create this page~

Home Run Clear Stamp Set item #120642
Big Shot item #113439
Decorative Strip Billboard item #114510
1/2 Chocolate Chip Scallops Dots Ribbon item #124142
Metallic Brads item #119741

Here was last weeks Sketch Challenge Layout. I thought it was a fun sketch to play with!!

DSC05610
I made one tiny change I made the sketch to fit a 6 x 6 page instead. My base is Chocolate Chip card stock. I then cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamp from Home Run Stamp Set; inked in Crumb Cake and stamped it onto the Crumb Cake card stock creating my own background paper. I then took a ruler and drew a line around the edge of the Crumb Cake card stock using the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, then if you notice I added little lines here and there on the main lines.

Tip~ When making sport pages try incorporating a certain element from that sport it could be as simple as added stitching design like I have done. I added the little lines here and there on the main line, I was inspired by the stitching on a baseball glove.

I then cut 4 squares of Night of Navy card stock, two of them will be for photos. I then cut 2 squares of Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamp from Home Run Stamp Set; inked in Crumb Cake and stamped onto the Crumb Cake card stock again creating my own background paper. I also took a ruler and the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker and drew lines around the edge of the Crumb Cake card stock. Using the Big Shot and the Decorative Strip Billboard I die cut out my title "All Star" in Chocolate Chip card stock. I then glued it to the Crumb Cake Square. I cut a piece of 1/2 Chocolate Chip Scallop Dot Ribbon flipped it over to use the other side and wrapped it around the center of the Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamp from Home Run Stamp Set; inked the baseball in Night of Navy and stamped it onto Crumb Cake card stock. I then cut the image out and attached it to the center of the ribbon with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Tip~ If you want a certain image to stand out on your page, consider cutting it out and popping it up with a Stampin' Dimensional.

I then placed two Metallic Brads in the upper right hand corner of the Night of Navy card stock. Note you would want to place your pictures in the Night of Navy card stock then set the brads in place.

I am sure you noticed I didn't leave a spot to journal in a few weeks I will share with you what else I did for this layout!!! So be sure to keep checking back!

Supplies Used~
Stamp~ Home Run
Ink~ Crumb Cake
Paper~ Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy
Acc.~ Big Shot, Decorative Strip Billboard, 1/2 Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Metallic Brads, Stampin' Write Marker Chocolate Chip, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots
