Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday!!! Photo Album using Botanical Gazette Part 1

Morning everyone!

I am posting late this morning! It's been one of those crazy mornings! Tomorrow I have over 30 people coming to my house for a surprise 60th and 30th birthday party for my Dad and brother. Of course when this was decided to throw these parties I was in the middle of slowly remodeling a few rooms in my house and we all know how those remodeling jobs can go. lol Then with my family...maybe this is all families no body can just stick to the plan and time line!!!! lol So it's been a few interesting months around here!!! lol I am supper excited for tomorrow and we have managed to keep it a secret this long!! lol

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Today's share is a photo album that I picked up for $1 at Walmart last year...I know how many of us buy stuff to alter and never get to it? lol I finally decided it was time!!! lol So I have several parts of this album I will be showing you over the next few weeks. I used the following supplies to create this~

Botanical Gazette DSP item #121783
Scallop Trim Border Punch item #118402
3/16 Corner Small Punch item #119871
3/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon item #119767

Crochet Trim Cantilly 1/2 item #118480
Antique Brads item #117273
Jewels Basic Pearls item #119247
Sponge Daubers item #102892
Cutter Kit item #106958
Hobby Blade item #102449

If you would like to purchase the supplies I used to make this project or place an order
shop ONLINE HERE, email or call me too!! Just click on the Shop Now button when on my Stampin' Up! Website.

DSC00288
I took a plain photo album and dressed it up! At the top I took my Hobby Blade and cut a slit in the plastic so I could slide in my card stock under the cover.

Tip~ You don't see the slit until you get close to it so I would recommend doing it down the side instead were you can hide it with ribbon.

I cut a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock, round the right side corners only with the 3/16 Corner Small Punch. I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock, round the right side corners only with the 3/16 Corner Small Punch. I then snailed it to the Not Quite Navy card stock. I cut a piece of Botanical Gazette DSP, using the Cutter Kit I roughed up the edges. I applied Early Espresso ink around the edges with a Sponge Dauber and then snailed it to the Old Olive card stock. I placed 3 Basic Pearls in the bottom right hand corner of the DSP and the slid it in under the plastic on the front of the cover. I cut a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock, used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on one side of it. I then applied Sticky Strip to the back and ran it down the left side on the outside.

Tip~ Sticky Strip works really good for adhering to plastic.

To hide the edge of the Not Quite Navy card stock I wrapped 3/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon around the Photo Album securing the ends with Glue Dots. I then made a bow out of Crochet Trim Chantilly 1/2 and a bow out of 3/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon. I wrapped an Antique Brad around the center of the two bows to hold them together. I then attached the bow over the seam of the 3/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon with Glue Dots. To finish it off I added Jewels Basic Pearls to the scallop on the Not Quite Navy card stock.

Supplies Used~
Ink~Early Espresso
Paper~ Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Botanical Gazette
Acc.~ Scallop Trim Border Punch, 3/16 Corner Small Punch, 3/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon, Crochet Trim 1/2 Chantilly, Antique Brads, Jewels Basic Pearls, Cutter Kit, Hobby Blade, Sponge Daubers, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip

Be sure to visit next friday for part 2 of this photo album!!!

Have a great Friday!!! Thanks for stopping by!

The base is Pretty in Pink card stock. I then cut a piece of Certainly Celery card stock; I took the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool and punched holes along the bottom. I cut a piece of Patterns DSP Stack Subtles. I took the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; inked in Certainly Celery and stamped onto the DSP. I wrapped a piece of 5/8 Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon around the center. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and attached to the front of the Pretty in Pink card stock.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Easter Blossoms Stamp Set; inked in Pretty In Pink and stamped twice on the Whisper White card stock. I then took the stamp again; inked it in So Saffron and stamped onto Whisper White card stock. I cut it out; placed a Stampin' Dimensional on the back and put it over lapping the two pink eggs. I then put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White card stock and placed on the front of the card. To finish it off I added Jewels Basic Pearls.

My base is Basic Gray card stock. I cut a piece of Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette card stock. I used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch on the piece of Pink Pirouette card stock. I snailed it to the Melon Mambo card stock. I took a piece of 5/8 Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon and wrapped around the center over lapping the Pink Pirouette card stock. I took the Hearts from I Heart Hearts Stamp Set; inked them in Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette then stamped onto Whisper White card stock. I cut them out and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then placed Jewels Basic Rhinestones on the upper right hand corner. I then tied 5/8 Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon around the sucker.
