Monday's 3D Challenge: Post It Note Holder

Today's share is the 3D Challenge I posted over on Stampin' Addicts website! If you never been check it out, it is geared towards Stampin' Up! if your a demo be sure to sign up for the demo forums and then give a shout out to me catrules! Today's challenge is to make the Post-it Note Holder below!! This is supper easy fun and simple to create this!! I used the following supplies to create this~

With All My Heart Stamp Set item #118623

Directions~

1. Cut 1 piece of So Saffron card stock 4" x 7" then score it at 3 1/4" and 3 1/2".

2. Cut 1 piece of Certainly Celery card stock 3" x 3 3/4"

3. Cut 1 piece of Blushing Bride card stock 2 3/4" x 3 1/2".

4. Cut 1 piece of So Saffron card stock 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". Take the stamp from With All My Heart Stamp Set; ink it in Certainly Celery and stamp on the left bottom corner. Cut a piece of 1/4 Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon and wrap around the center of the So Saffron card stock. In the upper left hand corner using the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool; pierce 3 holes. Take the stamps from With All My Heart Stamp Set; ink them in Blushing Bride and So Saffron and stamp on the coordinating colors of card stock. Punch the So Saffron piece out with the 1 1/4 Circle Large Punch. Punch the Blushing Bride piece out with the Fancy Flower Punch. Snail the two pieces together. Place a Stampin' Dimensional on the back and attach to the front of the Post-it Note Holder. Place a Jewels Basic Pearl in the center of the flower. Cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock, punch with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. Using the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool punch holes in each scallop then snail to the So Saffron card stock.

Stampin' Adddicts Technique Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Birthday Techniques Blog Hop!!! Each Blog will be featuring a technique!! There are 20 amazing stops in this Birthday Bash!! The tour starts at noon EST today and goes through Sunday February 27th.

1st Project Invitation~

Every party needs Invites!!! I used the Build a Blossom Stamp Set on all these projects. This set is perfect for a Hawaiian Theme Party!! I kept it pretty simple so it would be easy to duplicate a lot.

My base is Soft Suede card stock. I cut a piece of Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock. I took my Bella Toile Background stamp; inked in my Custom Colored Smooch Spritz and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock! It's hard to show in a picture but it shimmers!!! I then cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock. Using the Big Shot I ran it through with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I took the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; inked in Soft Suede and stamped on Very Vanilla card stock. I then placed it behind one of the pieces from the Hodgepodge Hardware Styled Silver. I ran 1/2 Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding through the label and wrapped it around the Soft Suede card stock. I cut a piece of Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock. I took the stamp from Friends 24-7 Stamp Set, inked in Soft Suede and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. Using the Curly Label Punch I punched out a piece in Cherry Cobbler. I snailed it behind the bird piece and then added Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up off the card. To finish off the card I added Jewels Basic Pearls.

Color Round Up #23 using Dreams du Jour

Morning everyone!

Every Wednesday I will be posting a new Color Round Up Color Challenge!!! All color challenges will be based on Stampin' Up! color families. I am a Stampin' Up! Demo so all my samples will only use SU product.

To take part in the Color Round Up Color Challenge CRU #23~

1. Create a project (card, scrapbook page, 3D item or MDS item) using these colors or similar shades only on your project. You may use white or vanilla with this color challenge. I can't wait to see what you make!!!

My base is Pear Pizzazz card stock. I then cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand card stock. I took the stamp from Dream du Jour Stamp Set; inked in Cherry Cobbler and stamped in the lower right hand corner on the Sahara Sand card stock. I cut a piece of First Edition DSP, sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink. I then wrapped Crochet Trim 1/2 Chantilly around the bottom of the DSP. Next I made a ruffle out of the 1/2 Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding and wrapped that around below the Crochet Trim.

I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock. I took the stamp from Dream du Jour Stamp Set; inked in Jet Black Stazon and stamped onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I then colored the image in with the following colors; Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz and Sahara Sand using a Blender Pen. I snail all 3 pieces together and placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and slid a little bit under the Crochet Trim. To finish off the card I added Jewels Basic Pearls to it.

My base is Basic Gray card stock. I cut a piece of Melon Mambo card stock, using the Big Shot and the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate (polka dot) I ran the Melon Mambo card stock through. I cut a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock, then took the Scallop Trim Border Punch and punch out one edge. I snailed it to the Melon Mambo card stock. I cut a piece of 5/8 Certainly Celery Ribbon and wrap around the Melon Mambo card stock, on top of the Pink Pirouette card stock.I snailed it to the Basic Gray card stock.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from On a Pedestal Stamp Set; and colored it with the Basic Gray and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers. I stamped onto the Whisper White card stock. I colored the top part of the stamp again with the Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker, stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I cut it out, added Dazzling Diamonds to the dots with the 2-way Glue Pen. I placed a Stampin' Dimensional behind and popped it up off the image. At the top I made a bow from 1/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon. On the right added two Jewels Basic Rhinestones. Take the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, ink it in Basic Gray and stamp on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Place a Stampin' Dimensional on the back and slide it under the stamped present image.

Monday's 3D Challenge Sucker Holder using On a Pedestal

Morning everyone!

This week is Stampin' Addicts Birthday!! So to celebrate I created this little sucker holder for the 3D Challenge I posted over on Stampin' Addicts website! Today's challenge is to make this Sucker Holder!! These are supper easy and fast to make!! I used the following supplies to create this~

Directions~

4. Cut 1 piece of Whisper White card stock  1 1/2" x 1 3/4". Take the stamp from On a Pedestal Stamp Set; color it with the Basic Gray and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers. Then stamp onto the Whisper White card stock. Color the Cherry stamp with the Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker and stamp onto the top of the cake. Using the 2-way Glue Pen I added Dazzling Diamonds to the cupcake. Place Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and pop it up off the front of the sucker holder. On the right added two Jewels Basic Rhinestones. Take the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, ink it in Basic Gray and stamp on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Place a Stampin' Dimensional on the back and slide it under the stamped cupcake image. Place sucker inside then close together with two Stampin' Dimensionals. Tie 5/8 Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon around the sucker.

Ruffled Ribbon Tutorial

Morning everyone!

Today I am sharing the tutorial for the ruffled ribbon technique. I love making the ribbon ruffle! The 1/2 Seam Binding works the best for this technique.


Directions~


1. Cut the end of the 1/2 Seam Binding for a straight edge. I leave the ribbon on the roll to start with.


2. Pull on the thread until the other threads are exposed as shown in the picture above.


3. What I found works best is to grab 2-3 strands of the thread, firmly grasp them and start pulling on the ribbon creating a scrunched look. Then continue to keep working the ribbon creating a ruffle look to the length you need.



4. Wrap it around your project then be sure to use a glue dot and attach the thread you were pulling to the back of your project. This will help keep the ribbon ruffle to stay tight. Then cut off the excess string.



5. Then it should look like the ribbon in the above picture.

Today's card I created and posted over on Stampin' Addicts website for Tuesday Technique! The technique was ruffled ribbon. If you never been check it out, it is geared towards Stampin' Up! if your a demo be sure to sign up for the demo forums and then give a shout out to me catrules! I used the Bliss Stamp Set. My base is Pear Pizzazz card stock, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler next. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, using the Tearing Edge I tore the right side of the Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamp from Bliss Stamp Set; inked in Crumb Cake and stamped randomly all over the Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamp from Bliss Stamp Set; inked in Cherry Cobbler and stamped randomly all over the Crumb Cake card stock again. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I took a piece of 1/2 Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding and created the ruffled effect with it and placed along the bottom of the Crumb Cake card stock. I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake card stock. I took the stamp from Bliss Stamp Set; inked in Crumb Cake and stamped onto the Crumb Cake. I then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I snailed all three pieces together. I then added Jewels Basic Pearls to the image. I took a piece of the Hodgepodge Hardware Styled Silver and added it to the end of the ribbon. I took the butterfly from Bliss Stamp Set; inked in Cherry Cobbler and stamped onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I then cut it out and added the Jewels Basic Pearls to the butterfly and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Scallop Square Album Part 3

Morning everyone!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Today's share is the Part 3 of the Scallop Square Album I made for Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop. To see Part 1 visit HERE. This is the backside to page 2 so this is page 3. For the pages between the Scallop Squares I cut Pear Pizzazz card stock  to fit inside the Scallop Squares. I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock, ran it through the Big Shot along with the Texturz Plate Perfect Details. I cut a piece of Greenhouse Gala DSP and snailed it to the left side of the Baja Breeze card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock for the photo mat. I took 1/4 Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon and wrapped it around the Greenhouse Gala DSP and Whisper White card stock. I then added two Jewels Basic Rhinestones on the bottom left hand corner.

Tip~ I wanted to keep the same colors on each page through out the hole album so instead of Pumpkin Pie card stock I used the 1/4 Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain to keep with the them. Accessories work great for keeping with color themes!!


This is page 4. I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock, ran it through the Big Shot along with the Texturz Plate Perfect Details. I cut a piece of Greenhouse Gala DSP and snailed it to the right side of the Baja Breeze card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock for the photo mat. I took 1/4 Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon and wrapped it around the Greenhouse Gala DSP and Whisper White card stock. I then added two Jewels Basic Rhinestones on the bottom right hand corner.

Tip~ To keep an even follow between two pages; you option is to just copy the pages but place the embellishments opposit of each other as shown above.

Today I am sharing another card I made to play along with my color combo challenge in my "Be Mine" Edition 2011 On- Line Class. For details on the class visit HERE. I used the following supplies to create this card~

My base is Pretty in Pink card stock. I cut a piece of Concord Crush card stock and used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch on it. I cut a piece of Basic Gray card stock. I cut 2 different patterns of Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper I then glued them together and wrapped 1/2 Stitched-Poly Ribbon Concord Crush around the center. I then snailed that piece to the Basic Gray card stock, I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back. I cut a piece of Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Styled Beautiful Stamp Set; inked in Concord Crush and stamped onto the Whisper White card stock. I snailed all three pieces together and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I took the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; inked it in Concord Crush and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch and slid it in under the Basic Gray card stock. To finish off the card I added Jewels Basic Pearls to the card.
