So how does a Progressive Scrapbook Page work well you start with a 6 X 6 page first, then 8 1/2 x 11 and finish last with a 12 x 12. The key is making sure it will all flow together nicely when done. How do you do that you say?
Tip~ Gather all your supplies including the 6 x6 piece, 8 1/2 x 11 piece and 12 x 12 piece of card stock and work on it but don't attach anything until you are satisfied how it looks overall.
So starting from the bottom we will work our way up. My base is a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Early Espresso card stock. Next was a piece of More Mustard card stock, I stamped the edges with one of the images from Day of Gratitude Stamp Set in More Mustard, ink. I then cut a piece of Cajun Craze card stock, I stamped the acorn in Cajun Craze ink and then the flower part in Early Espresso ink. I sponged the edges in Early Espresso ink. I took the Stampin' Write Maker Early Espresso and did my journaling.
Tip~ To leave a spot for journaling I used sticky notes to cover that section and then stamp around the sticky note.
I then added a piece of Designer Series Paper Autumn Spice, I sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink. I then added a piece of Hemp Twine Natural to the center of it.
Tip~ For a nature look on your pages using Hemp Twine or Linen Thread really makes it look more natural!
I stamped the leaves from Day of Gratitude Stamp Set in the following colors Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso. I used the Rock -n- Roll Technique on them. I then cut them out and attached them with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Technique Rock-n-Roll, stamp you image in a lighter ink then before stamping; ink it in a darker ink by lightly tapping or rock the edges in the ink. Very easy technique and eye popping!! Be sure to clean your stamp or stamp off if your doing multiple images so you don't ruin your lighter colored ink pad.
I then glued the 6 x 6 piece I created to the center of the 8 1/2 x 11 card stock piece.
You'll notice I cut the Cajun Craze card stock so there was a bigger border around, when I did this it made the 6 x 6 part really pop more off the page. I didn't add a lot of detail to the 8 1/2 x 11 piece I wanted it to compliment the 6 x 6 page and flow nice together.
