My base is Early Espresso card stock. Next is a piece of Marnia Mist card stock, using the Big Shot and the Embossing Folder Vintage Wallpaper I ran it through. This Embossing Folder is a must!!! I love it!!!! I then sponged the edges with Marina Mist ink. Next I cut a piece of our Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack Regals, I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the bottom. at the top of it I wrapped some Chantilly 1/2 Crochet Trim around.

Using the Big Shot and the Top Note Die I die cut a piece out of Very Vanilla card stock. I inked the En Francais in the center with Crumb Cake and then placed my die cut piece over it and rubbed gently. I then took the tower from Artistic Etchings inked it in Early Espresso ink and stamped off to the right a little. Clear mount stamps make it so easy for placement! I then stamped the other images randomly in the following colors Early Espresso, Always Artichoke, and Marina Mist. After I inked each stamp I stamped off on a piece of scratch paper before stamping onto the card stock to make it lighter and softer feel. I then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals behind to pop it up.

For the finishing touches I added a bow made from the 1/2 Crochet Trim called Chantilly. I added one of our Neutrals Designer Buttons to the center after I tied a piece of 1/8 Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon through it. In the center I placed one of the Jewel Pearls. To the right of the Top Note die cut piece I added two Jewel Pearls. I just love how this card turned out!

Monday's 3D Challenge~ Pencil Wrapper using Tart and Tangy and Forest Friends

Morning everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend! I had lots of fun this weekend. Had nice weather and our family reunion got to spend time with my cousins. However that sure didn't leave much time to stamp! lol

Welcome to Monday's 3D Challenge! I came up with a pretty simple idea. We were talking about the kids going back to school yesterday and I got to thinking about all the pencils I bought a long time ago and how I should donate them to my cousin for her classroom, so I came home and pulled them out and thought the wrapper was so bleh on them. lol So then the light bulb went on and thought hey you could make a much more prettier wrapper for them, so in that moment a 3D Challenge idea was born! lol

Today's share is the 3D Challenge I posted over on Stampin' Addicts website! If you never been check it out, it is geared towards Stampin' Up! if your a demo be sure to sign up for the demo forums and then give a shout out to me catrules! The challenge is to make a Pencil Wrapper. I used the following supplies to create this~

Forest Friends Stamp Set item # 113748
Tart and Tang Stamp Set item #111514
Big Shot item #113439
Billboard Sizzlet Decorative Strip item #114510
1" Circle Medium Punch item #119868
1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon Pear Pizzazz item #119265

Natural Hemp Twine item #100982

If you would like to purchase the supplies I used to make this project or place an order HERE, email or call me too!! Just click on the Shop Now button when on my Stampin' Up! Website

Directions~

1. Cut 1 piece of Poppy Parade card stock 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Then score at the following measurements 1/2",2 1/4",2 3/4",4 1/2". In the second picture below shows what it should look like after scoring.

2. Cut 1 piece of Early Espresso card stock 1 1/2" x 3 1/4"

3. Cut 1 piece of DSP In Color (Level 1 Hostess). I took the apple from the Tart and Tangy set, inked in Poppy Parade stamped off on scratch paper and then stamped onto the DSP. I did this several times randomly. I then sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink. On the bottom I placed 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon Pear Pizzazz and tied it. I then took the owl from Forest Friends inked it in Early Espresso and stamped it on Crumb Cake card stock. I punched it out with the 1" Circle Medium Punch. I then clipped one of our Clips from the Clip Assortment off to the side to hold it in place. I tied a piece of Natural Hemp Twine around the clip. To finish it off I used my Big Shot along with my Billboard Sizzlet Decorative Strip and some Crumb Cake card stock. I ran some letters off and then sponged them with Early Espresso ink and placed them off to the left. Once Step 1 and 2 are put together I placed Stampin' Dimensionals on the back.

I took some 3/8 Twill tape, stamped the paw in Baja Breeze onto the Twill Tape and wrapped around the photo and the More Mustard card stock. On the left of the photo I punched out a circle using the 3/4" Circle Punch in Sahara Sand card stock, I stamped on it with the Sanded Background stamp using Sahara Sand ink, sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink. I stamped the bone in Early Espresso ink onto Sahara Sand card stock and then cut it out and placed it on a Stampin' Dimensional.

3rd Block~

I used the half of the square that I cut before for block one. The More Mustard piece had the paws stamped in More Mustard ink and then sponged with More Mustard ink. I used the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker for my journaling. On the Sahara Sand piece I used the
Sanded Background stamp I inked it in Sahara Sand stamped onto the card stock. I took the bone and paw form D is for Dog stamped it in More Mustard and Baja Breeze, then sponged the edges with Sahara Sand.

I'll be working my way around the panel clockwise, we'll start at the upper left hand corner.

First Block~

In the first square I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" I sponged the edges with Baja Breeze ink. I cut a piece of Sahara Sand card stock 3" x 3", using the Sanded Background stamp I inked it in Sahara Sand stamped onto the card stock. I took the bone and paw form D is for Dog stamped it in More Mustard and Baja Breeze, then sponged the edges with Sahara Sand. Next came my photo, I tied Natural Hemp Twine down the side of it to look like his chew rope he has. On the right hand side of the photo I stamped D is for Dog in More Mustard on Sahara Sand card stock. I cut it out and placed Stampin' Dimensional on the back.

2nd Block~

I cut a piece of Sahara Sand card stock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and then cut it diagonally in half. (One is for the second block and one is for the fourth block) I stamped the bone in Sahara Sand ink and stamped off on scratch paper before stamping onto the card stock. I wanted it to be faint for my journaling. I them did my journaling with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker. I stamped the bone in More Mustard on Sahara Sand card stock, cut it out and mounted it on a Stampin' Dimensional. I then cut a piece of More Mustard card stock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and then cut it diagonally in half, again one half is for the fourth block. I stamped the saying in Early Espresso Ink on the bottom of it, stamped the paws in More Mustard ink and sponged the edges with More Mustard ink.

3rd Block~

The 3rd block is also really part of the next panel because of how they fit together. I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", sponged the edges with Baja Breeze ink. I added my photo on the right of it I added a strip of More Mustard 1/2" x 3" I ran it through the Big Shot along with the Texturze Plate Background 1. I then cut a piece of Sahara Sand 3" long and punched out with the Scallop Edge Border Punch I then cut it to only use the scallops. I then took my marker and added little dots to each scallop. To finish it off I added another bone stamped in More Mustard onto Sahara Sand card stock, cut out and placed on a Stampin' Dimensional. On the bottom I added a bow made from Natural Hemp Twine and in the center is a paw stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Sahara Sand card stock I then punched it out with the 3/4" Circle Medium Punch.

4th Block~

Remember those half pieces I cut for the 2nd block this is where you use the other half of them up. The Sahara Sand piece I stamped the dog in Early Espresso ink and then sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink. The More Mustard piece I stamped the paws in More Mustard and then sponged the edges with More Mustard.
