Easter Card using Cheep Talk

Morning everyone and welcome to my blog!

This week is been a very busy week again!! I've been busy getting ready for Easter here, I am hosting this year. My brother is coming home too! Unfortunately when my brother comes home it means a very deep cleaning. My brother has really bad allergies and is allergic to my dog. It's good and bad, you get your house cleaned really good but it's a lot of extra work! This time though I also have to clean my parents house good too since my mom can't get around very good yet. Good thing I clean for a living! lol It's worth it though because we get to see my brother.

The card I am sharing today is based off of Monday's 3D Challenge. I used all the same products to create this card. I wanted to show you how easy it is to take a 3D item and use it as your inspiration for cards also! The card used the following~

Cheep Talk Stamp Set item #113204

Sanded Background Stamp item #109294
Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set item #
115370
Big Shot item #113439
Little Leaves Sizzlet item #114511
Scallop Circle Punch item #109043
1 3/8 Circle Punch item #104401
Curly Label Punch item #112208
1/2 Stripped So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon item #113699
Mat Pack item #105826
Paper Piercing-Tool item #116631
Sponge Daubers item #102892

If you would like to purchase the supplies I used to make this project or place an orde

My base of the card is Sahara Sand, I took the Sanded Background Stamp inked it in Sahara Sand and stamped onto the card stock, then sponged the edges with Sahara Sand. I cut a strip of Certainly Celery card stock, sponged the edges with Certainly Celery ink. I cut a strip of Bashful Blue, stamped on it with the Sanded Background Stamp using Sahara Sand ink; sponged the edges with Bashful Blue ink. I took the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing-Tool and punched holes down the left hand side. I tied some 1/2 Stripped So Saffron Ribbon around and tied it. I took the Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped it in Bashful Blue on Whisper White card stock. I then punched it out using our Curly Label Punch; sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink.

I made the little medallion using the bird from Cheep Talk. I stamped the bird in So Saffron on Whisper White, punched it out with the 1 3/8 Circle Punch, layered a Sahara Sand Scallop and So Saffron Scallop behind. I punched holes in the Sahara Sand Scallop. Then I using the Big Shot I ran some Certainly Celery card stock through with the SU Little Leaves Sizzlet and added that behind my medallion. Very easy to take a 3d item and use it as your inspiration for a card!!

I took So Saffron card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Scallop Circle Die and made a card. I punched out two Scallop Circles in So Saffron and folded them in half to make the wings. Using the 5-Petal Flower Punch I punched out the top part in Pumpkin Pie. The beak is made by punching out a 1 1/4" Square of Pumpkin Pie and then folded over diagonal to form a triangle shape. For the eyes I punched out 2 circles in Whisper White with the 1" Circle Punch. Then 2 circles in Basic Black using the 3/4" Circle Punch. Then 1 circle in So Saffron with the 1" Circle Punch. This you cut in half to make the eyelids. When I got it the eyes all together I took the White Gel Pen and added the eye center. For the feet I used the Full Heart Punch and punched out 2 in Pumpkin Pie. At the top I took 1/4 Whisper White Grosgrain and added a little bow. I sponged all the pieces with the coordinating ink.

Here is the outside view of the little Chick.

Today I am gonna try to get some pictures to share with you all.

Inspired by Nature Share

Morning Stampers! Welcome to my blog!

This week has been one very busy crazy week! My parent's have a cattle farm and the cows have started calving. My dad's health is not good so I spend a lot of time helping my parents with the farm in between my cleaning jobs. My husband and I have our own cleaning company. It's spring time for sure!! lol Since my mom broke her ankle I've been a tad bit more busier than normal. Mom went back to work for 6 hours, dad drops her off and then I pick her up and take her home. Then this weekend I am helping my brother move, he has been transferred from his job to another location. This past weekend I brought my mom over to my house to get her out and she made the card below. I thought she did a great job and wanted to share it with you all!

Mom did a really good job with this card! The card used the following~

Inspired by Nature item #111656
Soft Subtle Brads item #106954
1/4 Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon item #109032
Stampin' Write Markers item #105541
Scallop Trim Border Punch ( you can get this through Sale-A-Bration)

If you would like to purchase the supplies I used to make this project or place an order HERE, email or call me too!! Just click on the Shop Now button when on my Stampin' Up! Website

The base is Pretty in Pink card stock, then Close to Cocoa. Next a piece of Certainly Celery. Mom took the following markers; Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, and Rose Red. She colored the Inspired by Nature stamp with the markers, then stamped on the Whisper White card stock. She then colored the flowers again, stamped them on Whisper White and cut them out. She placed Stampin' Dimensionals behind to make them stand out more. Using the Scallop Trim Border Punch, she punched out the one corner. Mom took a sponge dauber and sponged Pretty in Pink around the Whisper White card stock.  On the bottom she tied 1/4 Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon. To finish off the card she placed a Soft Subtle brad in the upper left hand corner. Didn't she do a great job!!
