Monday's 3D Challenge~ Coaster Bag

Morning and welcome to my blog! I know I have not been posting as much just been plain busy here. Then dh and I had a few day's off from his job and our businesses so we vegged it was quite nice!

Anyhow today I am sharing the 3D Challenge I posted over on Stampin'Addicts website! If you haven't been to this site you'll want to go check it out! If your a demo be sure to sign up for the demo only forums! The challenge for today was to make a bag from 4" x 4" Chipboard Coasters! I made mine look vintage and I just love how it turned out!

Directions~

1. Cut 2 pieces of Nouveau Chic DSP at 2" x 4", I took the En Francis Background stamp and inked it in Basic Gray and stamped on it. Then I took the  3/16 corner rounder punch to two corners only.

2. Cut 2 pieces of Basic Gray card stock at 2' x 4", I took the Bella Toile Background stamp and inked it in Basic Gray then stamped on both pieces. I used the 3/16 corner rounder on two corner only again.

3. I then taped a piece of the DSP to the top of the coaster, and a piece of Basic Gray card stock to the bottom of the coaster. I took some 5/8 Very Vanilla satin ribbon and wrapped around to cover the seams. I then built my bow and added a Basic Gray Corduroy Button to the center.

4. Cut 2 piece of Basic Gray card stock 4" x 4" round the corners and tape to the back side of the coasters.

5. I sponged the edges with Basic Gray ink.

6. Cut a piece of card stock 6" x 9 1/2", score on the 9 1/2" side at 1 1/4" in on each side, on the 6" side score at 3 3/4" and 5 3/4", then cut on the scored lines were there was little square formed to make tabs. Then fold and sticky strip together to create a box.

7. Sticky Strip the coasters to the box and added your handles. I used 5/8 Basic Gray Satin Ribbon and then to finish it off I added to pearls from our Pretties kit.

Valentine Card using Sweetheart

Morning stampers!

Today's share is a card I made for my husband for Valentine's Day. I kept it pretty simple as he is a no frills type of guy. lol The stamp set I used is called Sweetheart. This set is so cute and fun to play with! I used my Big Shot and Scallop Square Die to create the base of my card. I then cut a piece of Certainly Celery. I took some Reg Gingham Ribbon and tied around the Certainly Celery card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the heart in Real Red ink, the bottom in Certainly Celery. Last I added one of our 1/2 Real Red Sending Love Epoxy brads. These brads are fun!

Ok its time for Monday's 3D Challenge. This is the challenge that I do for Stampin' Addicts website! It is an awesome website geared to Stampin' Up! Lots of awesome challenges posted through the week in the forums and rocking gallery too!! If your a demo be sure to sign up for the demo forums. It's a very positive site!!

The challenge is to make a Gift Card or Money Holder. When I designed this my intentions were to use it for a Gift Card but when I got done, I realized it would work to put money in it too! Sweet!!

I used Animal Stories item# 116716 and the matching Designer Paper Tall Tales item#115678. I recently got this set and I gotta tell you it is really fun and cute to use!

Directions~
1. Cut 1 piece of card stock 5" x 7". Score it on the long side at 2 1/4" and 5" I used So Saffron. I also used the Scallop Edge Punch on both ends and then went back with the 1/16 hand punch and punched holes in each scallop.

2. Cut 1 piece of Designer Paper 4" x 2 3/4" (this piece will to be used to hold the gift card). I used the Tall Tales Designer Paper.

3. Cut 1 piece of Designer Paper 5" x 1 1/4". I used the Tall Tales Designer Paper. I taped this to the bottom and then used Earth Element Brads on the sides to hold it closed.

4. Cut 1 piece of card stock 1 3/4" x 2" ( this is the piece I stamped the elephant on) I used Whisper White.

5. Cut 1 piece of card stock 2"x 2 1/4" I used Old Olive

6. Cut 1 piece of card stock 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" I used Chocolate Chip.

7. Tape step 4 through 6 together.

8. I then took 5/8 Chocolate Chip and 1/4 Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon and wrapped around the top. I placed the Elephant stamped image over the ribbon with dimensionals.
