Valentine Book Mark

Morning and welcome to my blog!

Today I am sharing another Valentine Book Mark that I made! This was one of my past 3D Challenges you can go Here for the tutorial. This one was made with the 5/8 Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon. I used Real Red card stock and ran that through my Big Shot with the Scalloped Hearts of Hearts Embosslit Die. I then punched out a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with my Full Heart Punch and placed it inside the Embosslit Scalloped Hearts of Hearts Die and ran it through the big shot. To finish it of I added a Real Red Corduroy button to it.

Card using my Background Technique with Razzle Dazlze

Morning and welcome to my blog!!

Are you ready to see the card I made with my background Technique??? All right I will share :) I also did another technique called Rock n Roll. I love this technique and tend to do it quite often. I used 3 stamp sets to create this beauty! I used Razzle Dazzle item #116714, En Francis item # 109521 and Teeny Tiny Wishes item #115370.

My paper is Elegant Eggplant, and More Mustard. Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla and did my background Technique Very Vintage on it. I used More Mustard classic ink and the En Francis Stamp Set. I sponged the edges with More Mustard to finish it off. For details on how to create the Very Vintage technique go HERE for my tutorial.

Next I took the Razzle Dazzle image and stamped it in Old Olive and then rolled the edges in Elegant Eggplant. This is called the Rock n Roll Technique. Then I cut some Old Olive Pattern DSP and used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the bottom. I layered the More Mustard, Very Vanilla and the DSP together and tied some 1/4 Elegant Eggplant ribbon around it. I used the Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped it in Elegant Eggplant on Very Vanilla card stock, punched it out withe the Word Window Punch. Placed it on the edge of the paper and cut part of the side off. I sponged More Mustard around the edges. Then to finish it off I added 2 Earth Element brads to the left.

Tutorial on Background Technique Very Vintage

Morning and welcome to my blog!

Today I am going to be sharing how I made my background on my card I posted on Sunday. When I was making my card for a swap I ran into a problem my paper was to big for my background stamp. When I stamped the second time I didn't like how it looked, so I decided to stamp it over and over and see what happened...well I really liked it! So a new technique was born for me!! I decided to call it Very Vintage. I think it looks kewl and I love vintage looking things! Below is the tutorial for creating this!

Step 1. Ink your background stamp up. A lighter colored ink works best for this technique. Place your card stock on the stamp and rub around with bone folder.

You'll now have this.

DSC02136

Step 2. Repeat Step 1 over as many times you would like. Go ahead and overlap each time.

You'll now have this.

Come back tomorrow and see the card I created with this! Hope you enjoyed today's tutorial!

Monday's 3D Challenge using Sweetheart and Heart Treat Cups

Morning and welcome to my blog!

I was hopping this morning I was gonna have some awesome news to share but the Vikings lost! Waaaaa What a game I tell ya! So I have to suck it up and admit defeat this morning since its all over the headlines.

Alright on to Monday's 3D Challenge. This is the 3D Challenge that I posted over on Stampin' Addicts Website!
If you have never been there be sure to check it out! It is a positive site geared towards Stampin' Up! Products only! If your a demo be sure to sign up for the demo only forums! So for the challenge I created a Valentine Treat Holder using our Scallop Square die with my Big Shot.

Directions~

1. Using the Scallop Square Die cut 1 square out in Ruby Red. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the edges. Then took a white gel pen and added little dots to each scallop.

2. Cut 1 piece of Chocolate Chip card stock 3 3/4" x 3 3/4".

3. Cut 1 piece of  Pretty in Pink card stock 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". I than ran this through the big shot with SU texture plate called Perfect Details.

4. Stamp the Heart image on Whisper White card stock in Ruby Red ink, using the Full Heart Punch, punch out the center and place the heart treat cup in the center. Watch the video for all the details on this part. I then sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the edges. I ran a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock through our Scalloped Hearts of Hearts embosslit.

5. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock. Punched it out with the Word Window Punch. Layered a piece punched out with the Modern Word Window Punch in Ruby Red. Then used the Movers and Shapers for the piece behind in Chocolate Chip Ink.

6. To finish it off I added 1/4 Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon to it.

Card using With All My Heart

Morning and Welcome to my blog!!

Today's share is a card featuring the stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called With All My Heart item#118623 (clear mount set). When I first say this set it was my must have right away! You can purchase this set from now until April 30th! I made this card for a swap that I was in.

The base is Taken with Teal, then Chocolate Chip. I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie Pattern DSP and used the Eyelet Border punch on it. Then cut a piece of So Saffron card stock to go behind the Whisper White card stock. Next was a piece of Whisper White, I used the En Francis Background stamp on it item# 109521. On Tue. I will have a tutorial on how I created the background on it for you all! I stamped it in So Saffron ink and then took a sponge dauber and went around the edge with Pumpkin Pie ink.

Using the stamp from With All My Heart and stamped it in Taken with Teal, then took the other stamp and stamped it in Chocolate Chip. I gotta say I really love our clear stamps for this!! In the center I added a pumpkin pie corduroy button. To the right I added 2 5/16 Neutral Jumbo brads. To get them nice and even I used the Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. I stamped the Thank you in Pumpkin Pie ink. Then took 1/4 Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and wrapped around. I really love these colors together!!

Card using Medallion and Vintage Labels

Morning everyone!

I slept in this morning and woke to a nice surprise. It rained and sleeted during the night. Very pretty, but what a mess! It still is raining with a mixture of snow. Were supposed to get a bad storm here over the weekend. So I spent the morning getting everything ready in case the power goes out here.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a swap recently. I was supposed to use Vintage Labels, which is one of the free Sale-A-bration stamp sets that you can earn when your purchase $50 before shipping and tax.

My base is Chocolate Chip, then Bermuda Bay. On the bottom of the Bermuda Bay I used the Scallop Edge Punch and the 1/16th hand punch. I sponged Chocolate Chip around the edges with a sponge dauber. Then next I cut a piece of Crushed Curry. I took the Medallion stamp item #115223 inked it with Bermuda Bay and stamped it on Whisper White, then sponged the edge with Chocolate Chip ink. I took some 5/8 Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon and wrapped it around. I took the Vintage Label set and stamped the little medallion in Crushed Curry on Whisper White, punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch. I sponged around it in Chocolate Chip ink. Then I stamped For You in Chocolate Chip in on Whisper White card stock, punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch and sponged around that with Chocolate Chip ink. I used the 1" circle  punch and punched a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock out.  I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink. I taped the piece together and popped it up on a dimensional.

Tutorial on baby punch piece

Happy Friday and good morning everyone!!

I am posting a little late this morning, I slept in and man did that feel good!! Sometimes you just gotta give in and sleep! :)

Today is the tutorial on how I made the little baby saying, some of you emailed me wanting to know what punch I used. I used the Word Window punch and some said no way, how cool is that! So I thought I would do a tutorial for you all!

First I used hello baby from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

DSC02076

Next I took my Dusty Durango marker and colored only the baby part.

DSC02079

Then I stamped it on Whisper White card stock.

DSC02081

Next I slid the paper into the Word Window Punch.

DSC02085

Punched it out so I had this.

DSC02090

Then took this piece and slid the other end into the Word Window Punch again.

DSC02092

Then had this when I was done!

DSC02094

You can make any size you want and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set works really well for this!! Hope you enjoyed today's tutorial! Have a great Friday!!!

Baby Book Part 2

Morning everyone!

I want to thank everyone for the comments you left! Your all so sweet :)
Today I will be sharing the 2nd half of my baby book! This is the other side of the Cd folder, all I did was cover the pocket with Always Artichoke and stamped the little deer in Chocolate Chip in the corner.

DSC02070

What I created next was a little pull out where the parents can record all the important deets!! This just slides into the pocket above. The base is Always Artichoke, then Dusty Durango, then Chocolate Chip. I added a little bit of Dusty Durango DSP, underneath of it I punched out a strip of Always Artichoke card stock with my Scallop Edge Punch. To close it I used 1/4 always artichoke ribbon. I stamped the bunny from Forest Friends and made my little bunny Medallion again. Tomorrow I will post a Tutorial on how I did the baby saying. I added the Round Tab Always Artichoke piece along with Vintage Brads to pull it open.

DSC02002

It then pulls open, on the inside I cut some Kraft card stock and made the little about Baby info and a Growth Chart.

DSC01993

The other two pages were Baby Shower info and Baby's Firsts.

DSC01997

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Tutorial on the Baby label! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Baby Book using Forest Friends

Morning!

Today I will be sharing the close up of the inside on my baby book. There is a lot to it so I will be sharing half today and half tomorrow. I created this out of a cd holder so it already had two pockets to it. So all I did was decorate the pockets. I covered the one side with Chocolate Chip card stock, then took the 3/4" circle punch and punched out the little oval were the cd would slide into. At the bottom I added some Dusty Durango Pattern DSP I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the DSP. I wrapped 1/4 Always Artichoke grosgrain around the bottom. Stamped the bunny in Dusty Durango on Whisper White card stock. Punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I punched a piece of Chocolate Chip out with the 1 3/8" circle punch, then punched a piece of Kraft out with the Scallop Circle Punch. I used the 1/16th hand punch and punched the scallops out. Then layered all together and popped it up on a dimensional.

DSC02068

These were the little memorabilia holders I created. I just cut down a small cello bag added the topper which was made out of Kraft card stock. I stamped the bunny and then wrote what I thought one might want to keep as a keepsake. Then these went into the pocket.

DSC02064

Behind the pocket is a place to slide a cd into, I thought how cool would it be to have a little scrapbook page instead for that first photo. So I created a little page for that first photo! The base is Kraft card stock, then Dusty Durango. I took the big shot and the Scallop Square die and cut out a piece in Always Artichoke. I used the 1/16 hand punch again in the scallops. Then cut a piece of Chocolate Chip for the photo mat. Wrapped some hemp around and added my bunny to it. You could still slide a cd in behind it if you want to too!

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the rest of this Baby Book! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
