Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Fruit and Flowers Mini Ablum

Happy Friday!!!

I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Today I am sharing a fun cute little mini album I created! It uses the Fruit and Flowers Stamp Set along with the soon to retire Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper. I created this to play along with a challenge for my Summer Fun On-line Class.

Tip~ You can make a fun and cute mini album supper simple and fast using just a few items!!

Directions~

1. Cut 1 piece of Calypso Coral card stock 3 1/2" x 6 1/4". Then score it at 3 1/4" fold on scored lines.

2. Cut 1 piece of Whisper White card stock 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" and glue to the cover of the Calypso Coral card stock.

3. Cut 1 piece of Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 3" and glue to the Whisper White card stock.

4. Cut 1 piece of Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper 1" x 3 1/2" and gule to the left side of the other piece of Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper.

Tip~ Don't be afraid to mix your patterns of designer series paper to see what you can come up with!

5. Cut 9 1/2" of 1/8 Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon and wrap around the mini album.

6. Cut 1 piece of Whisper White card stock 2" x 2 1/4". Take the stamps from Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set; ink them in Basic Black and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock. Take the stamps from Fruit and Flowers Stamp Set; ink then in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral and stamp onto the Whisper White card stock. Attach the Whisper White card stock over the ribbon and attach to the front of the album. Then added 2 Jewels Basic Rhinestones in the upper right hand corner.

Tip~ Use stamps that are just phrases to create your title on your page or mini albums. This is a great way to get more use out of your stamps!!

On the inside~

1. Cut 2 pieces of Whisper White card stock 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" gule each piece to the Calypso Coral card stock.

2. Cut 2 pieces of Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper 1" x 3 1/2" and glue over the Whisper White card stock on each side.

My base is Basic Gray card stock. I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock next. I took the Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel; inked it in Baja Breeze and wheeled it across the bottom of the page. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock for the journaling block.

Tip~ It's always important to have an area for journaling on you layout somewhere.

I cut a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock and glued it so it over lapped the Whisper White card stock. I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch out a piece of Whisper White card stock. I then used the Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker to write "Cherish" on my tag.

Tip~ Use your punches to create tags for your pages.

I cut  a piece of Baja Breeze card stock for the photo mat. I wrapped a piece of 3/8 Not Quite Navy Taffeta Ribbon across the bottom of the layout. I used the Framelits Dies Heart Collection to die cut out two hearts; one in Basic Gray and the other in Not Quite Navy card stock. I ran the Basic Gray heart through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I took the stamp from P.S. I Love You; inked in Baja Breeze and stamped on a piece of Whisper White. I punched it out with the Word Window Punch. I placed a Clear Rhinestone Brad on the hearts. I then attached it all with a Stampin' Dimensional. To finish off the page I used the Big Shot and Billboard Decorative Strip to die cut out "Love".

Directions~

Cover~

1. Cut one piece of Perfect Plum card stock 3" x 4".

2. Cut one piece of Certainly Celery card stock 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Run it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

3. Cut one piece of Blushing Bride card stock 2" x 3 1/4". Take the stamp from Aviary Stamp Set; ink it in Blushing Bride and stamp all over the card stock. Wrap a piece of 1/2 Marina Mist Scallop Dots Ribbon around the center. Use the Big Shot and Framelits Dies Labels Collection to die cut out a piece of Whisper White card stock. Take the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; ink it in Certainly Celery and stamp onto the card stock. I took the stamp from Aviary Stamp Set; inked in Certainly Celery and stamped the owl onto a piece of Whisper White card stock then cut it out. I added a Twitterpated Designer Button with some White Baker's Twine to the label then added some Jewels Basic Pearls.

Page 1~

1. Cut one piece of Perfect Plum card stock 3" x 4".

2. Cut one piece of Certainly Celery card stock 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Run it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

3. Cut one piece of Whisper White card stock 2" x 2 1/2".

4. Cut one piece of 2010-2012 2010-2012 In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper 1" x 3". Wrap a piece of 1/2 Marina Mist Scallop Dots Ribbon around the DSP. I then added some Jewels Basic Pearls and some Subtles Brads.

Page 2~

1. Cut one piece of Perfect Plum card stock 3" x 4".

2. Cut one piece of Certainly Celery card stock 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Run it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

3. Cut one piece of Blushing Bride card stock 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". Take the stamp from the Aviary Stamp Set; ink it in Blushing Bride and stamp all over the Blushing Bride card stock.

4. Cut one piece of Whisper White card stock 2" x 3 1/4". Wrap a piece of 1/2 Marina Mist Scallop Dots Ribbon around the card stock. I then added a Designer Button Subtles with a bow made out of the White Baker's Twine. I took the stamp from Aviary Stamp Set; inked in Marnia Mist and stamped it onto Whisper White card stock. I cut out the image and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Then just use the Crop a dile to punch a hole throug all three pages and tie together with White Baker's Twine. How cute is that!!

My base is a piece of Blushing Bride card stock. I took the stamp from Bestfriends Forever Stamp Set; inked in Blushing Bride and stamped on the upper half of the Blushing Bride card stock. I cut a piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. I cut a piece of  2010-2012 In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper (Pear Pizzazz).

Tip~ I used the Bone Folder to distress the DSP paper.This is another great use for your Bone Folder.

I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock. I took the stamp Fine Flourish; inked in Tempting Turquoise and stamped onto the Baja Breeze card stock. I took the stamp from Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set; inked in Baja Breeze and stamped onto the Baja Breeze card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock for the photo mat. I wrapped a piece of 1/2 Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding across the bottom of the Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set; inked in Tempting Turquoise and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I cut it out and attached it to the seam binding. I used the Big Shot and Timeless Type Junior Alphabet to die cut out "SPRING" in Blushing Bride card stock. I then added some Jewels Basic Rhinestones to finish off the page.

Tip~ to make your layout pop use a combo of different patterns on it.

This 8 x 8 Page shows how to use different patterns of Designer Series Paper on your layout. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 8" x 8". I took the stamp from Mixed Bunch Stamp Set; inked in Pear Pizzazz and stamped onto the Whisper White card stock. I used my stamps to create my own background paper. You'll also notice I only stamped down the sides and across the top leaving the bottom blank.

Tip~ It's very important to have a spot for journaling on your pages to tell who, when and were.

I cut a piece of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and glued it to the left side of the page. I cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock for my photo mat. I then cut two more piece of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and glued across the bottom. I cut a piece of 3/8 Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon and placed it onto the page.

Tip~ When using different patterns of DSP you want to pick patterns that will compliment each other. The pattern that has the Pear Pizzazz leaves on it is bold so to tone it down I placed the ribbon to cover it a little.

I used the Blossom Punch to punch a flower out in Riding Hood Red. I took the stamp from Mixed Bunch Stamp Set; inked in Blushing Bride and stamped it onto the Whisper White card stock. I then cut it out and ben the petals upwards. I took the stamp from Mixed Bunch Stamp Set; inked in Pear Pizzazz and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I punched it out with 3/4" Circle Punch. I then added some Jewels Basic Rhinestones to the center of the flower and onto the Photo Mat.

1st Project Card~

It's Friday!! Hooray!!! Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Today I am sharing a 8 x 8 page I created to play along with a bonus challenge for my Frosty Kisses Class. Yep another Winter Page but I promise this is the last one....well I hope we don't get any snow. lol

My base is a piece of 8 x 8 Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock next. I took the stamp from Snow Swirled Stamp Set; inked in Whisper White Craft Ink and stamped it onto the Pear Pizzazz card stock.

Tip~ For a winter like feel use White Craft ink on your layout for the background paper.

I cut a piece of Basic Black card stock and glued it to the left side of the page. I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock. I took the stamp from Snow Swirled Stamp Set; inked in Baja Breeze and stamped only down the left side of the Baja Breeze card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock for the photo mat and glued it ot the Baja Breeze card stock. I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock and punched one side out with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I cut a piece of 1/2 Pear Pizzazz Stitched Poly Ribbon. I notched out one end and then attach across the bottom of the photo mat. I used the Big Shot and and Snowflake #2 Die to die cut out a snow flake in Basic Black. I then attached it to the page on the right side with a 5/8 Neutrals Jumbo Brad.

Tip~ Have a real dark color on your layout? You can balance your layout by tying it in as an embellishments. I did that with mine by die cutting a snowflake out in Basic Black.

To finish the paged I added some Jewels Basic Rhinestones and did my journaling on the left side with a White Gel Pen. This help balance out the page once completed.

6 x 6 Pages are perfect for highlighting a certain moment or event only. They make wonderful little album gifts for family and friends! My base is a piece of Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Punch Pals Stamp Set; inked in Baja Breeze and stamped all over the Whisper White card stock.

Tip~ Stamps work perfectly to make you own custom background paper!

I cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock. I took the stamp from Punch Pals Stamp Set; inked in Chocolate Chip and stamped it onto the Baja Breeze card stock. I ran the Baja Breeze card stock through the Big Shot with the Backgrounds 1 Texture Plate. After gluing my Baja Breeze card stock to the Whisper White card stock I took the stamp from Merry Winter Stamp Set; inked it in Chocolate Chip and stamped it in the bottom right hand corner. Then I did my journaling on the top of the sled with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker. For the Photo Mat I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White card stock. I placed 3 Mini Silver Brads in the upper right hand corner of the photo mat. I glued the photo mat at an angle onto my page.

Tip~ For an interesting look to your layout place your photo mat at an angle.

I took used the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Die to die cut out a piece in Chocolate Chip. I glued it to the page across the bottom of the Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of 1/8 Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon and wrapped that around the page. I die cut out a snowflake in Whisper White card stock with the Big Shot and Northern Frost Die. I punched out a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock with the 3/4" Circle Punch. I took the stamp from Punch Pals inked in Pumpkin Pie and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I punched it out with the 1/2" circle punch. I glued the circles to the snowflake then placed a Mini Silver Brad in the center. I placed a Stampin' Dimensional onto the back and attached over the ribbon on the left side.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; 6 x 6 Love Page

Happy Friday!!

I don't know about you all but I am sure glad Friday is here!!! The best part it's a 3 day weekend for me!! Wooo Hooo!!!

Every Friday I will be hosting the Scrapbook Saddle Up with y'all!! It will feature a scrapbook layout to a scrapbooking album ideas along with tips, techniques and etc!! Today I am sharing a 6 x 6 page I created to play along with a color challenge for my Frosty Kisses Class. I also am using it for Stampin' Addicts Scrapbook Challenge this week as well. This weeks challenge is to use the Scallop Square Die on your layout some how. My base is a piece of 6 x 6 Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of Poppy Parade card stock. I used the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce holes around the edges of the Poppy Parade card stock. I cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock to cover across the width of the page. I used the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce a row of holes across the bottom of the Blushing Bride card stock.

Tip~ Use two colors of card stock and make one color a smaller square and place it towards the top. This will help balance out the page with the colors.

I wrapped a piece of 1/4 Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon around the Blushing Bride card stock. I wrapped a piece of Early Espresso/White Bakers Twine around the Whisper White grosgrain. Using the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Die; I die cut out a piece of Early Espresso card stock. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and glued it to the scallop square. I used the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce holes in each scallop.

Tip~ You will notice to tie in the paper-piercing I incorporated it into the Scallop Square, by doing this it balanced out the paper-piercing on the page.

I placed Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of the Scallop Square and attached to the center of the page. The Scallop Square Die makes great photo mats!! I punched out a piece of Poppy Parade card stock using the Full Heart Punch. I took the stamp from Grateful Greetings Stamp Set; inked in Early Espresso and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I glued the saying to the Poppy Parade heart. I then added a Twitter Patted Designer Button. I attached it with a Stampin' Dimensional over the corner of the scallop square. I then added a bow made from the Early Espresso/White Bakers Twine.

Tip~ Red colors are very vibrant colors; when working with red colors you want to balance them out so it doesn't take the focus away from the picture. I made the Blushing Bride card stock larger and then placed the scallop square in the center of the layout to tone it down. Then to tie the red back into the page I added just a little on the bottom by punching the heart out.

Scrapbook Saddle Up Friday; Mini Scapbook Album Part 3

Directions~

1. Use the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Die to cut out 1 Scallop Square in Crumb Cake card stock. Cut the top and first row of scallops off so you have a flat edge. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool and punch holes in each scallop.

2. Cut 1 piece of Early Espresso  card stock 3" x 3 3/4".

3. Cut 1 piece of Blushing Bride card stock 2 3/4" x 3 1/2". Use the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker to draw fake stitching around the edges.

I cut a little piece of Crumb Cake card stock and punched one side out with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. I then wrapped a piece of 3/8 Twill Tape around the card stock. I took the Full Heart Punch and punched out 1 heart in Crumb Cake and 1 heart out in Early Espresso. I took the stamps from D is for Dog and C is for Cat Stamp Set. I inked the stamps in Crumb Cake and stamped them across the Crumb Cake heart. I popped the hearts up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I took the stamp from Fabulouse Phrases Stamp Set; inked them in Early Espresso and stamped it onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I then cut it out into a banner. I added a Twitterpated Designer Button and a bow made from Natural Hemp Twine. I placed Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of the Early Espresso card stock and attached to the Scallop Square. At the top I punched holes through each page add the rings then tied some 3/8 Twill Tape, Natural Hemp Twine and some 1/8 Early Espresso Taffeta to the rings.

Did this not turn out awesome?? I love how it turned out a lot better than I had planned! lol You could make the same album and simply change out the pictures and colors to suit your needs. This would make a great mini Wedding, or Anniversary Album!!!
