Family Gifts; Family Jar

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Yes we are alive and well I've just been incredible busy and have not had time to create or post to my blog. I am in the process of several major events here that I am making decorations for, lots of regular work, work and work, tax time, plus lots of different things going on. There is not enough hours in the day! We did have my mom's retirement party it was a success and I will be sharing photos in a couple of weeks here. I am sorry I worried some of you but we are okay and I will not be posting regular till I get stuff done and caught up.

Customer Updates:

I did mail out the catalogs weeks ago so if you didn't receive one please let me know and I will check my list. Everyone who placed orders in Dec and Jan all of your thank you goodies were mailed out too!

Family Jar

This is another gift we created for our family members and is part of the "Year Gift" we made! If you would like to see more info about this awesome project we created and what I've shared so far click on the little tag on the left side of my blog labeled Year of Gifts or visit HERE. It is a family jar. I saw this idea last year on pinterest and thought how cool I gotta make this! The idea is all year long record the awesome things that happened and then on new year's eve read through everything. How cool right? Another demo/friend did this with her family and it's become a family tradition for them. This uses the Layering Love Stamp Set (W) item #141962 (C) item #141965 which I thought was fitting for this idea!

IMG_9955

Theses were such a blast to make! We made a total of 4 of them. I should have made one for us but didn't even think about it. lol Super easy to create too!

Supplies Needed to create Family Jar
Stamp: Layering Love
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Copy Paper
Acc.: 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Very Vanilla 1/2 Lace Trim, Gold Binder Clips, Pearls, Jar, Paint, Silhouette

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Paint the jar lid in your color choice and let dry for several days.
  • Using the Silhouette cut out the vinyl in black and attach to the front of the jar. Sorry I forgot to measure the jar. lol I got them at Target in the $1 spot last spring.
  • Create a pouch to hold slips of copy paper out of the Early Espresso card stock. They don't need to be that big but I really wanted the saying on the pocket. Punch one end of the Early Espresso card stock using the 1 3/8 Circle Punch. This will make it easier to grab the slips of paper.
  • Ink the stamp from Layering Love Stamp Set in Early Espresso and stamp onto the Very Vanilla card stock. Glue to the front of the pocket and added some Pearl Basic Jewels to finish it.
  • At the top I clipped a Gold Binder Clip to the pocket then thread some Very Vanilla 1/2 Lace Trim through the binder clip and tied it around the top of the jar.
  • Then I typed up a note to add with the jar to let each family know how the jar works.

IMG_9960

Here is all four of them. Again I either did people's favorite colors or the color that would best in there home since I didn't know who would actually leave them sitting out. Pretty awesome I think!

Family Gift's; New Year's Eve Jars

New Years Bundle

New Year's Eve has come and gone but I plan on showing all the stuff I made for our family gifts. This project is the New Year's Eve Gift Jar that we created for our family members and is part of the "Year Gift" we made! If you would like to see more info about this awesome project we created and what I've shared so far click on the little tag on the left side of my blog labeled Year of Gifts or visit HERE. This was one of my FAVORITES out of the Year Gifts, yes, we made a lot of AWESOME stuff but I thought these really rocked! This was also one of the projects that I didn't get made till December because of the candy that would go inside some. I used a lot of different stamp sets to create this project but the main stamp set used is Designer Tin of Cards Photopolymer Stamp Set item #141739 on pg 161 in our main catalog.

Designer Tin of Cards

This is one of those sets that I think everyone needs! It works for many occasions and is also perfect for your project life!!

The Break Down of Goodies in the Jar

Everyone's jars were different for several reasons. Not everyone got the midnight kisses, some don't do candy at all. A couple of the Jars didn't have balloons in them because of Latex Allergies. Some of the confetti stuff had to be different too because of allergies. I also made the jars different to suit people's favorite colors too! I personally hate the color Pink so bad. It literally gives me an instant headache and makes me want to vomit when I see it. I don't know why it's been like that since I was a kid, so I personally didn't want to give someone a color they hate. lol To me that is knowing someone and truly caring about them. So yeah, I really put a LOT of thought into this gift!

Noise Makers

IMG_9893

These were so AWESOME when they were done! I saw the idea on pinterest and knew I had to make them! I thought they would be perfect for the two little ones too. This project however didn't go well for us... hahaha, it was quite the project and story! First, I thought I had picked up the black paint, nope and of course this wasn't discovered till 8pm at night when we went to work on them. Strike 1! I picked up paint the next day, came home painted them and let them dry overnight just to be extra safe. However what pinterest didn't tell you is you definitely need bigger bells. With smaller bells, you can't slide the gift package ribbon through them at all. ROFL Another discover at 8pm at night and in this small town where in the world do you find this many bells at Christmas time no less (we made 13 of these and they each had 8 bells on them). ROFL Strike 2!  Off to town the next day yet again when I should really be home working on the gifts. lol Luckily for us I managed to find some and they had exactly just enough packages left (my angles working full time again). Home to work on them, but I noticed that the wrapping ribbon paint was coming off so they looked bad. Ughh Strike 3! Off to town again to find higher quality ribbon. They finally worked after having 4 days tied up into this project. lol We for some reason we also thought they would fit into the jars too and they didn't. It was pretty funny. The lesson don't wait to do this project in Dec try starting it in November. Haha

Supplies Needed
Wavy Wood Sticks
Black Craft Nontoxic Paint
3/4" to 1" bells
High quality present wrapping ribbon

To Create Them:

  • I picked up wood wave sticks from walmart you get like 24 in a package. Then paint with craft paint. If little ones are involved, you want to make sure you get a paint that is nontoxic if they happen to stick it in their mouth. lol All the sticks were painted black and left to dry overnight.
  • You want larger bells so they will slide easier over the ribbon at least 3/4". I used gift wrap ribbon and you want a high-quality ribbon so the color doesn't flake off.
  • Put all the bells on your ribbon first, you will want quite a bit of ribbon to work with. Tie one end of the ribbon to the wavy stick and then start wrapping around the wavy stick you'll want 4 bells on each side. Tie the other end to the stick when done wrapping.
  • Cut some more ribbon and tie to the wavy stick on the bottom and curl it.

Swizzle Sticks

Swizzle Sticks

These were awesome too! They do take some time and a lot of work because you know me I can't do simple. lol Each jar had 3 different designs of swizzle sticks.

Supplies Needed
Stamps: Designer Tin of Cards, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Thoughtful Banners, It's a Celebration, Sunburst Sayings
Ink:VersaMark, Memento Ink Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer Paper
Tools: Big Shot, Star Framelits, Heat Tool, Medium Star Punch
Acc.: Gold and Silver Embossing Powder, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Rhinestones
Misc: Wood Stir Sticks, Gift Packaging Ribbon

To Create Them:

  • Punch out the Whisper White and Basic Black card stock with the Medium Star Punch. Attach the Basic Black stars to the stir sticks with Glue Dots or Dimensionals.
  • Stamp onto the Whisper White card stock using the following stamps Designer Tin of Cards, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Thoughtful Banners, It's a Celebration, Sunburst Sayings in the following inks Memento Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry and VersaMark. Emboss the images you want with Silver and Gold Embossing Powder. Add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the ones you want. I did each set design at once to make it easier and that way your ink doesn't dry before you pour embossing powder over your images. Attach the Whisper White star with a Glue Dot or Stampin' Dimensional.
  • Zip Silver Glitter Paper through the Big Shot with the Star Framelits and attach to the ones you want to have the glitter star. Attach with a Stampin' Dimensional. Add Basic Jewels Rhinestones in where you want.
  • Tie some gift wrap ribbon around the stir stick and curl.

IMG_9907

Here is a close up of them. SWEET!!

New Year's Resolution Cards

New Years Resolution Cards

Super easy and fun to create! I printed out the resolution cards we designed onto Whisper White card stock. In the corners, I inked the stamp from Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set in Crushed Curry and stamped. Across the bottom, I added some Silver Glimmer Paper.

IMG_9937

Then tie some gift wrap ribbon around to keep them together.

Download New Years Resolution Card for your next project. Simply print onto Whisper White card stock and trim the border off if you don't want the border. Enjoy!

Midnight Kisses

IMG_9910

Another idea I saw on Pinterest and absolutely loved!! Very easy to make and these also would be awesome for any event or occasion.
I purchased 3/4" Circle Labels from Target. Using the Project Life Date Stamp Set; I stamped 2017 in Memento Ink Tuxedo Black onto the labels. Then I using a Sponge Dauber I add Gold Metallic Ink onto the label. Then placed the labels onto the bottom of the Hershey kisses.

IMG_9927

It's hard to see but we used the Silhouette to cut out Happy New Year 2017 in White Vinyl. I then added it to the jar. The jar lids we painted in the black craft paint. Then filled the jars with filler I purchased at Hobby Lobby. We punched stars and etc. to place in the jars too. I added gift wrap ribbon and another bell onto the jar.

IMG_9918

Here are the 4 Jars all done. Each family received a New Year's Jar. Aren't these AWESOME!! Even with the crazy stuff that happened they turned out AMAZING!!! For us we made a pretty fun memory with LOTS of laughs.

IMG_9912

We also created this for one family as it was our nephew's 1st New Year! I picked up a frame from Walmart. Slide some Basic Black card stock into it. Using the Silhouette, we cut out My First New Year in white vinyl. I added a Gold Foil Star and a Silver Glitter Star in the bottom right corner to finish it.

IMG_3460

Since we didn't do our family Christmas till December 31st. We were able to be watch my brother and wife to be open their New Year's Gift. Which was pretty awesome to be able to be part of it!

IMG_3461

They loved it too!

IMG_3464

My brother really loved the noise maker's. lol

IMG_3044

My cousin sent me this pic on New Year's Eve of her little guy loving the balloons made my heart so happy to see :)

New Year's Party Favor

Morning peeps!

Today's post is a New Year's party favor idea I created. You could easily change this out for birthday, 4th of July and etc. which you may see some of these later in the year :) I do have a funny story about this project. After it was completed and pictures taken it was sitting on my counter. My stinker cat started to play with it when I wasn't in the room. He knocked it off onto the floor and the dog chewed the candy right off of it. Wrapper and all. Eeeeeppppp When I walked back into the room the cat was sitting on the counter where it was and the dog was hovering over it on the floor. lol So busted!! Thankfully he didn't get the toothpick and it didn't make him sick. So be careful if you have animals or little children around! lol

I created this to play along with color challenge for my New Year's Bash Edition. This year I did something new, fun and special for all of my customers that took the on-line class last year.  I used the Big Shot and Star Framelits to create this. Supper easy and fun to make!

* Then I just journal ed what we did on the index card using the Project Life Journal Pens. These are becoming my favorite pens they are so nice and smooth to use.

As you can see we had a pretty quite day just did some of the things that we like to do and were able to stay home! lol

 * This would be the back page. I actually have the top squares placed wrong the crushed curry would be on the left instead.

* I created another journal page using the Bokeh Background Technique which I just showed how to do in my New Year's Bash Class.

* I created another decorative square using the following sets; Perfect Pennants, Project Life Day to Day, Project Life Point & Click and Something to Say.

* On the bottom I created another piece this one I will attach the picture of us to. I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and Gold Metallic Ink Pad to add specks of gold to. The Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum piece is stapled on one end and then will sit across the bottom of the picture.

To hold all the pieces together for just this day I used one of the clips from Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.  In a couple of weeks I will share another part of it.

Color Round Up #125; Perfect Pennants Calender

Happy Wednesday peeps :) Today I am sharing two of my many New Year's goals. One of my goals is to stop being so in-decisive.  I use to be just do it and not spend months analyzing it to death. ROFL at least not the things that really aren't that important. I have been debating about changing the color badge for a year and half now. Seriously not kidding that long. lol

So it's time for a change for the Color Round Up's kinda out with the old and in with the new I finally decided to just pull the trigger. I know many of you love my color badges so I hope you like the new one! Let me know what ya think.

My second goal is to be a little more organized then what I was this past year. We had so much going on last year that I kinda feel behind on a lot of things so what better way to be organized than having a calender in front of you :) which happens to be what I created for The Review Crew Hop! If you missed out on the hop just visit the post HERE. This one is a little different from the hop one since we made over 40 of these I didn't have enough clothe's pins and buttons.

All of my downlines, and club members will be receiving one in the mail! I have listed this in my Etsy Store if you would like to purchase one. If you would like more than one please let me know and I will be happy to assist.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

* Print a calender off onto some Whisper White card stock. There are lots of free one's out there to use. Then die cut out each month using the Big Shot and Square Framelits.  One each month all I did was stamp the 2015 at the top using the Day to Day Project Life Photopolymer Stamp Set. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede Ink. I held my calender together using the Brad Base.

* Create a base out of card stock and decorate how you would like. I used the Big Shot, Hexagon Hive Framelit, and Park Lane Designer Series Paper. Which is my favorite!

IMG_6219

Here is angled shot so you can see the greeting and accessories a little better.

* I used the saying from Perfect Pennants Stamp Set. I die cut it out using the Big Shot and Square Framelits. I added a piece of Calypso Coral card stock behind the saying which I die cut out using the Big Shot and Chalk Talk Framelits.

* I stamped the image from Perfect Pennants in Daffodil Delight and die cut it out using the Big Shot and Banner Framelits.

* I colored some Rhinestones using the Old Olive Blendabilities.( you can earn these free during Sale-a-bration)

Those of you receiving one in the mail it will require a little assembling on your end. I couldn't finish the stand all the way because then they would have been damaged in shipping. When it arrives; turn it over and the back will look like below.

IMG_6198

I already put the Sticky Strip onto the Soft Suede card stock for you. All you have to do is pull it off and attach the Soft Suede card stock to the back of the Blackberry Bliss card stock. So then it will look like the picture below.

IMG_6203

But try to get it straight you'll notice I didn't. lol Then it should stand upright for you! Phew if you made it to the end of this post thanks for sticking it out! lol

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!

Ring out the old and in with the new :) 2014 was quite the year here for us!! As I sit and reflect on this past year we made a lot of wonderful memories and some not so hot.

I've had some serious health problems but am very thankful that it is not worse. Dh started a new job and then Dh lost his job but we started another new adventure that has been exciting!! We didn't get to start building our dream home as planned but it gave us time to dream and plan a little more so it will be better (also gave me time to win some arguments hehe)!! We lost some loved ones but had some new ones born or soon to be born...(which I am impatiently waiting for). We had a brother get married and welcomed a new member to the family!! We launched a new phase in my business and I'm very excited how it turned out! I also welcomed some new people to my downline team! This year I got to spend a little more time with my dad, brother and husband fishing and hunting making some great memories and some good pranks too!

Like everyone else I've made some new year's resolutions too. I will be sharing various ones through out the month here on my blog. My first one is to actually send out more cards :) Yes I am one of those people who doesn't actually send them like I should. lol I hope to be better and start that off I created a card for the New Year to send to my close friends, downline and etc. I challenge you to send one card to someone this month! Happ Hour

My base is Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I used the White Chalk Marker to add squiggles down the left side. I cut a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock. I ran part of it through the Big Shot with the Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. (Item in the Occasions Catalog!!) I used the 3/16 Corner Punch to round the upper right corner. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock. I took the stamp from Happy Hour Stamp Set; inked in Summer Starfruit and stamped onto the Whisper White card stock. I took the Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat and Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to pierce a row of holes across the Whisper White card stock. I cut a piece of Summer Starfruit card stock. I took the background stamp from Positively Chevron; inked in Summer Starfruit and stamped onto the Summer Starfruit card stock. I punched out a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the 2 1/2 Circle Punch. I die cut out a piece of Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and Circle Collection Framelits. I took the stamp from Happy Hour Stamp Set; inked in Chocolate Chip and stamped onto the Whisper White circle. I wrapped some Gold Sequin Trim (Item in the Occasions Catalog!!) around the bottom. I added a Naturals Designer Button with a 3/8 Glimmer Brad in the center. I added some Neutrals Candy Dots and some pieces of Gold Sequin to the card randomly. Here is what comes in the set.
