Hello December Blog Badge

Hello December 2016 Project Life On-line Class

Starts On: January 3, 2017

The class is RECORDED so you do NOT need to be able to tune in live to participate!!!

Morning all! First and update on my December Daily Class. I am still not over my cough and have not been unable to do my video's for the December Daily Class so after much debate I cancelled the class and contacted everyone who had registered. So many said you didn't mind waiting till January because you wouldn't get your album done before then and still would like the class; so the class is back on! Sorry for the mass confusion, and sorry for getting sick (I know I can't control it but it is frustrating)!! I've made changes to the class you still will get 6 weeks worth of content but instead the class will be 3 weeks long so it's not going on into February. So be sure to keep taking your pictures everyday!

Visit the Hello December 2016 Project Life On-line Class Page HERE for details and to register.

Everyday up to Christmas I will have a fun project to share with you all plus everyday I will be posting a giveaway until Christmas!!! Custom Wrapping Paper

One thing I really like to do is create customer wrapping paper. You can do it if you plan ahead that is the key :) I purchased a roll of Kraft Wrapping Paper from Hobby Lobby. I usually stock up on this around Christmas time because that is when they have there wrapping paper at 50% off. To create my wrapping paper I used the Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set item #140386 from the main catalog.

OhWhatFun

This set is not only great for creating cards, creating tags it is perfect for creating custom wrapping paper too!!

IMG_9424

Tip~ One thing to note is be sure you are stamping on a hard surface. I was working on one of our tables that I thought would hard enough but as you can tell one of my Happy Christmas didn't ink good enough because the table gave.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Roll out the amount of wrapping paper you need. Ink the stamp from Oh, What Fun Stamp Set in Real Red ink and stamp onto the wrapping paper. Repeat till  you have the entire piece stamped on. You can add more images if you would like I just liked the Merry Christmas on it. That's all it takes!

Tip~ Let your paper dry before wrapping your gift it only takes a few minuets to wait.

IMG_9419

This was the day 2 tag label I created.

  • Zip a piece of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper through the Big Shot with the Layering Circles Framelits. These are on sale!!!
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and zip through the Big Shot with the Banner Framelits. Stamp your 2 onto the top in Garden Green Ink. I used the retired 25 Days Stamp Set and retired Metallics Glitter Tape.
  • Ink the stamp from Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set in Real Red and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Zip it through the Big Shot with the Bunch of Banner Framelits die cutting it. Attach all of your pieces together with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Punch a hole at the top with the 1/8 Handheld Punch and tie some Candy Cane Baker's Twine through it. Add a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
  • Attach to your package and use wrapping ribbon to finish decorating.

Supplies Used
Stamp: Oh, What Fun, Stitched with Cheer, Retired 25 Days of Christmas
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green
Paper: Whisper White, This is Christmas
Acc.: Big Shot, Bunch of Banner, Layering Circles and Banner Framelits, 1/8 Handheld Punch, Candy Cane Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Gift Tag 1

The most important thing to this gift is the tags. lol If you have never done this type of gift before you want to be sure to label each package so they know what day to open that gift :) I of course wanted each day's tag different too....it was fun but that was a little challenging. lol This tag used two stamp sets Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set item #140386 from the main Stampin' Up! Catalog and Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Set (W) item #142037 (C) item #142040.

OhWhatFun

This set is not only great for creating cards but perfect for creating tags!!

CandyCaneChristmas

I LOVE this set and it rocks for creating tags! It's so cute and sooo much fun to play around with!

IMG_9423

Tags are also a great way to use up your scraps.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Punch out one end of the Real Red card stock with the Banner Triple Punch.
  • Ink the candy cane from Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Set in real red and stamp onto the real red card stock.
  • Add a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper down the center.
  • I printed out "One" onto Whisper White card stock then zipped it through the Big Shot with the Ovals Framelits.
  • Stamp the Ho Ho Ho from Oh, What Fun Stamp Set in Cucumber Crush below the "one".
  • At the top of the tag I used the 1/8 Handheld Circle Punch. Then thread some Cucumber Crush Thick Baker's Twine through. To finish I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Supplies Used
Stamp: Oh, What Fun, Candy Cane Christmas
Ink: Real Red, Cucumber Crush
Paper: Silver Glimmer Paper, Real Red, Whisper White
Acc.: Big Shot, Oval Framelits, Banner Triple Punch, 1/8 Handheld Circle Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Cucumber Crush Thick Baker's Twine

Tag Card1

Each gift also had a little card with it inside. These were a LOT of fun to create too. This card used two stamp sets Stitched With Cheer Photopolymer Stamp Set item #142182 from the Holiday Catalog and Number of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set item #140653 from the main Stampin' Up! Catalog.

StitchedWithCheer

This is another one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog.  It is awesome for pretty much everything!

Number of Years

As you all know this is one of my favorite sets from our catalog and it worked awesome for my 25 Days of Christmas! This is one those sets that has been so versatile for me!

IMG_9385

I wanted to include these cards with each gift so they would know which one was handmade by us and some of the cards had some fun messages on them too. These were supper easy and fast to make.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • I printed out Day of Christmas onto Whisper White card stock. Once I figured out the space I needed I mass produced the wording so I didn't waste any card stock. I cut the cards and stamped.
  • I stamped 1 from Number of Years Stamp Set in Real Red ink.
  • The trees were from the Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set and I stamped them in Garden Green.
  • At the top I added some retired Metallics Glitter Tape.

Santa Countdown

How about this cute Kids Craft Advent Calendar countdown? Supper easy to create!! Another really cute idea I found on pinterest. When I saw this santa I knew I had to make this for the little ones! What I really liked is it helps teach them how to count and the days of the month.

Directions:

  • Print out the Santa onto Whisper White card stock. Cut out the Santa image.
  • Type up directions and print them out onto Whisper White card stock. I just made my own.
  • Fill a bag with the cotton balls. The clear bag I got from Hobby Lobby. Slide the bag into the adorable Santa Cup, another score from Hobby Lobby.
  • Clip the directions to the Santa with a clothespin.

IMG_9401

Cute right? I had some red clothespins in my stash which worked perfect for clipping the directions to the santa.

If you would like to make your own just click on the picture below and save to your computer and print it off.

Santa-faceAdventCalendar

I of course really wanted my projects to include my biggest passion which is of course my stamping :) so I created this adorable bag to slip the santa into.

Santa Countdown Packaging

This is a fun gift packaging idea and would you believe I made this bag from a shopping bag? Below is a picture tutorial for you all. This cute little package uses the following items: Cookie Cutter Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set + Cookie Cutter Builder Punch Bundle item #143493 from our Holiday Catalog. I also used Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set item #140386 from the main catalog.

Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle

Purchase these two items together and save 10%. I LOVE this set the images are soo stinkin cute!!!

To Create the Bag

IMG_9367

1. You will need a brown bag from a store.

IMG_9370

2. Measure out the size you need your package to be. Draw lines in pencil so you can erase.
I needed a 6 1/2" x 9" bag so I was able to get 2 bags out of this one bag.

IMG_9373

3. Cut on the lines creating your bag. Save the top half for another time.

IMG_9374

4. Apply Tear Tape Adhesive across the one side. By cutting up from the bottom of the shopping bag it's already sealed for you.

IMG_9395

5. Decorate your bag.

Rubber Redneck Quick Shots:

  • Ink the stamp from Oh, What Fun Stamp Set in Whisper White Craft Ink and stamp onto the bag. Continue until the entire bag is stamped on.
  • Cut 1 piece of Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (this has already ran out and not order-able anymore) at 3" x 4" in the candy pattern.
  • Cut 1 piece of Candy Lane Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" in the strip pattern.
  • Stamp the Santa from Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp onto Whisper White card stock. Punch out the Santa using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Builder Punch.
  • Color in the Santa with the Many Marvelous Markers.
  • Attach Santa to the center of the bag.
