The Stamp Review Crew: Painted Petals

Welcome to another The Stamp Review Crew Hop!! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who will be bringing you lots of ideas for one particular stamp set twice a month!!  The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, you can hop along from one blog to the next gathering all kinds of inspiration for one Stampin' Up! stamp set. Please note the blog doesn't officially start until Monday April 6 so some of the links may not work.

I so excited for the fun to start!! We have a great group of talented stampers for this hop!!  If you are following the hop in order you just arrived from Cindy Beach's blog Stamps, Paper and Ink where she made some fabulous projects!!! We are featuring the Painted Petals Stamp Set from the Occasion Catalog.

This is another great and fun set to work with! What I love the most about this set is that even if you are not a water coloring expert this set allows you to achieve that same great look! I've used this set a LOT!

My first project up is this soft beautiful looking card. I must confess I am not a pastel gal but these colors I just love together!! I will be missing my Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe. Just the two flowers alone are perfect from the Painted Petals Stamp Set and I just absolutely LOVE the saying!! I used the matching embossing folder Spring Flowers.

Supplies Used~
Stamp~ Painted Petals
Ink~ Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Sky
Paper~ Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper
Acc.~ Big Shot, Spring Flowers Embossing Folder, Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine, Pearls Basic Jewels, Sweet Sadie Designer Series Washi Tape

Next up is a REALLY fun project idea. I was trying to come up with something to make for spring to send out to friends and family. A few minutes before I had gotten a text from my step mother in law asking for a new picture of us. So all the sudden a light bulb went off and this idea was born. lol I created a picture frame from card stock. Stamped my flower images from the Painted Petals Stamp Set. This set is perfect to create artwork with!! I did combine it with the Dictionary Background Stamps. Stop back Thursday and I will have a video tutorial and directions on how to create this!

Supplies Used~
Stamp~ Painted Petals, Dictionary
Ink~ Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight
Paper~ Whisper White, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi
Acc.~ Big Shot, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I hope you liked my projects!! I had a lot of fun creating them! Now you'll want to head on over to Shana Gaff's Blog Stress-Free Stamping and see her fabulous creations!

Thanks for stopping by and hopping with us! Happy Easter!!!!

Great cards, Holly! I really love the colors you used for each one.

Love your cards, Holly.I love the pinks in the framed one and it's such a neat idea the way you stamped the flower images on the frame too.

Pretty cards! Such a wonderful mix of inked images and and colors in your designs!

These are both so pretty, but I really love your picture frame card the most!!

Oh so gorgeous. Love the pearl scatters on the first and the beautiful frame you made for the second one. Great examples.

Great cards Holly! Love the colours on the first one and the frame on the second one is very clever. Love the stamping and embossing on it. The dictionary background stamp looks awesome too!

Both cards are beautiful! I love the picture frame idea! Your color choices are perfect!

Love that picture frame card! Great idea!

I love that framed picture, Holly. This stamp set is perfect for a framed work of art!

As usual, your projects are a work of art. Beautiful color combinations, details on each layer and overall look - simply gorgeous!

These are so fun, Holly! Love the non-traditional colors in the first cards and the smattering of pearls. The hexagon EF frame is the perfect setting for the second card and the tone-on-tone flowers on the frame was a great idea!

Love the soft colors... the Baked Brown Sugar Twine is a perfect compliment. And I know your family will love the frame. A lovely gift!

Am loving the picture frame card!! Two lovely cards!

Both cards are amazing, Holly! But I REALLY like the second one. The framing technique you used with the hexagon hive embossing folder is brilliant!

Great cards. The first is my favorite, though. Love the color combination and I think the dots in the set get overlooked, but they add a great touch.

What pretty cards you created! And what a lovely idea to create a stamped frame around your stamped focal image. I also really like the way you combined the different elements on the first card. You always inspired me, Holly!

Holly, your first card is perfect -- not too sweet, just right! Good for you for creating that frame for a photo!
