Color Round Up Color Challenge #8 using Day of Gratitude

Color Round Up 8-001 (CRU #8)

Good Morning everyone!

Thank you all for stopping in and leaving comments yesterday on my card!  I am glad you all loved it! It is a very unusual color combo but a very striking one the picture doesn't really doe it justice.

Every Wednesday I will be posting a new Color Round Up Color Challenge!!! All color challenges will be based on Stampin' Up! color families. I am a Stampin' Up! Demo so all my samples will only use SU product.

To take part in the Color Round Up Color Challenge CRU #8~

1. Create a project (card, scrapbook page, 3D item or MDS item) using these colors or similar shades. I can't wait to see what you make!!!

2. Post it to your blog or other public gallery (Stampin' Addicts, Splitcoast and etc.) using the key words Color Round Up #8 or CRU #8 and make sure to include a link back here to the challenge.

3. Enter your name and direct link to your project in Mr. Linky box below!

The deadline is November 9th so you have until November 9th midnight central time to enter your project!! Join me for Color Round Up Color Challenge #8!! One winner will be picked and they will receive a badge to post on their blog!!! You can play along anytime for the color challenges but if you would like a chance at the badge you'll need to enter by Nov. 9th.

My base is Early Espresso card stock, next is a piece of More Mustard card stock. I sponged the edges with More Mustard ink. I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock; ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I sponged the edges with Old Olive ink. I cut a piece of Cajun Craze card stock; ran it through the Crimper and snailed it the Old Olive piece. I then cut a piece of Autumn Spice DSP, snailed that on top of the Cajun Craze piece. I wrapped some 5/8 Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon on top of the Autumn Spice DSP.

I cut a piece of Very Vanila card stock. I took the image from Day of Gratitude Stamp Set; stamped it in Early Espresso ink. I then sponged the edges with More Mustard ink. I put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and attached to the center of the card. I took the Thank you from Day of Gratitude Stamp Set; stamped it in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of More Mustard card stock. I then punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. Sponged More Mustard ink around the edges and placed it on the left hand side of my card. To finish off the card I took a Cajun Craze button from the Designer Buttons Regals. I ran some Hemp Twine Natural through it and then placed it in the center of my stamped image.

Mmmmm, yummy autumn colors! I have to make some birthday cards today....think I'll use this in one of them.

These should be easy colors for us all to use this month! Coordinates perfectly with my favorite paper... Autumn Spice!!

Woohoo! I did it, I did it! I have completed my very first color challenge on any blog including Splitcoast and it's yours Holly. I even successfully put in my url stuff. Oh my stars! Thanks for the color challenge and I know I will participate again! Thanks for blessing my day and my stamping life with yours! :)))))))))

This is my first attempt with the Color Round Up. Enjoyed working with these colors.
