Mini Scrapbook Part 1~using Elements of Style

If your just joining me today I am sharing the details on the Mini Scrapbook I made for Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop! There is a lot to this little book so this will be spread out over a few days.

Part 1~

Here are all of the details on the cover. I cut 2 pieces of card stock 3 1/4" x 10". Then I scored both pieces at 5", once scored I used Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive on the scored line and placed the two pieces together to bond. Once it dried you will have to trim a little bit of the ends to make them flush. It is made out of Soft Suede card stock. In the background I stamped the flower in Soft Sued ink. I cut a piece of Mellow Moss card stock 3" x 4 1/4", sponged the edges with Soft Sued. Next was a piece of Very Vanilla card stock 2 3/4" x 4". I used the En Francais Stamp; inked it in Sahara Sand and then stamped on the Very Vanilla card stock. I then took markers and colored the main image and stamped it onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the saying in Soft Suede and then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink.

Using the Big shot and Lattice Die, I cut out a piece in Sahara Sand to wrap around the book. I added some Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon and a hat pin from the Pretties Kit. This helps hide your seems from the two card stock pieces for decorating.To finish it off I sprayed some Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer. I then tied it together with Kraft Taffeta Ribbon.

Pages 1 and 2

I cut 2 pieces of Mellow Moss card stock 3" x 4 3/4". I stamped the image in the background using Mellow Moss ink. I sponged both pieces with Soft Sued ink. On page 1 I ran some White Taffeta Ribbon down the left side and added some of the Pearls from the Pretties Kit. Across the bottom I took the Mini Vintage Tags and using the Rough Type Alphabet I stamped the word love in Soft Suede ink. I ran the tags on some Linen Thread and tied a bow from the Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon. On page 2 I ran some White Taffeta ribbon down the right side. I took a flower form the pretties kit; using the En Francais Background stamp I stamped onto the flower in Soft Suede ink. I then took a Sponge Dauber and colored the flower with Summer Sun ink. I placed a pearl from the Pretties kit in the center. Using the Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer I sprayed the flower. Note this does make the ink run, but for my project that was fine it gave the flower a softer look.
